My daughter's 8 year old water heater was not working so I contacted Ed's Plumbing. A couple of guys came to the house, looked at the water heater at a distance and said she needed a new water heater. They were there about 10 minutes total and charged over $150.00. The estimate for the new water heater was $1,000.

I had someone else look at it and the water line above the water heater was leaking causing a short in water heater. The leak was patched and the water heater is operating fine. It took less than 30 minutes.

I called the owner of Ed's Plumbing repeatedly. Every time I was told he was not in. I left my name and number and he never returned my call.

I recommend you stay far away from Ed's Plumbing and do not trust them.

I finally got an invoice. It isn't really itemized but I guess I might bump them up a star but I'd still avoid hiring them.

These guys are probably best avoided. It took almost a month to get them out to do some fairly major plumbing work. Here I was, willing to spend (and did spend) $1000 with them and it was very hard to get them to return my calls and my job kept getting pushed back.

I am also not impressed that, as many times as they were called out to ""flush out"" clogged pipes, they never suggested checking out the root cause and were all, ""Well, its old plumbing."" The tenant got a rotor rooter guy out there the last time the pipes were clogged and he discovered there was an issue.

Furthermore, I paid with my debit card over the phone several weeks ago and have never gotten an itemizied bill. I want to know how they came to that even $1000 dollars. I called to see where it was after two weeks and the gentleman I spoke with said he had sent it out and to the correct address, or so he said. He said he would remail it. That was last Wednesday. I still haven't gotten it.

Also, I believe they damaged some AC ductwork under the house when they were working there but I can't be sure about that. I suppose an animal could've damaged the ductwork.

I struggled whether or not to give them 1 or 2 stars because the runaround on the phone was at least a polite runaround and, presumably, they did a competent job. However, the runaround was still a runaround (it was like they never heard of me before whenever I did get someone on the phone-they don't like to answer their phone or return messages), and, even if the job was perfect and they weren't responsible for damaging the AC ductwork, there is no excuse for customer service that poor.

DO NOT USE ED'S PLUMBING!!!
Horrible customer service and horrible prices. I had what should have been a $20 part installed on a running toilet then they ""tweaked"" another toilet that was running and I was billed close to $200. Then I was told that they couldn't come fix the toilet that they ""tweaked"" that was still not working until five days later. They were here for a half and hour max, got their money and ran. It seems like they judged my finances and made up an absurd number to charge me. HORRIBLE!!!!

DO NOT USE ED PLUMBING!!!
The first time I used this company to clear a blockage in my sewer drain, they left saying the drain was clear. The next day or two, I experienced the same problem. I had them to come back and they charged me again for the problem because they didn't know that we had another clean out. So, I have a clogged drain once again and I called them once again. They came out and drilled a hole in the metal sewer pipe that was three feet from the clean out?? I called them back a couple of days later when the problem seems to be worst than before. I have called and left a message three times over a five day period and no response from the company.

Stay away from this business. Not customer focused and will charge you for services not rendered.

I had a problem with water coming from under my bathtub and commode whenever I used the shower. Ed'd Plumbing was called to see what was the reason for this and to fix the problem. The two gentlemen from Ed's said they fixed the problem by running a jet in 4 inch clean out from the house to the septic tank and removed the stoppage. They charged $305 and was finished in 40 minutes. The problem was the same the next day. I called back, left a recorded message and did not get a call back. The weekend passed, I called back on Monday and they said the same guys would return and they did. The next day, same problem. I called back and one employee was rude and very unprofessional. He told me the guy that came to my house was out for the day and he would return my call when he return the following day - he never did.I called another plumber who said the clean out was not done completely to the septic tank. I had to pay again for something Ed's said had been done.I have called Ed's Plumbing repeatedly with no satisfaction. Every time I call the owner/manage would be out. Left my name and telephone number and never got any response.

The guys at Ed's we're great! They found a hot water heater to fit my difficult space. Installation was fantastic. They were available the very next day! They were super clean. They also fixed a few other minor problems my house had while they were here. I highly recommend Ed's.
