Our company, Edmundson Mechanical Services, began 33 years ago.
We started with a focus on residential HVAC systems.
We included geothermal systems in our early services.
In 1995, we expanded into industrial plants.
By 2005, our team grew to 17 installers and service personnel.
In 2005, several industrial operations moved abroad.
I consciously chose to downsize and move away from industrial services.
By 2008, most factories had either closed or relocated.
Our focus transitioned from industrial HVAC to residential and commercial services.
By then, we had diversified into heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical services.
Currently, our team consists of 10 employees, and we have expanded into small remodeling and light excavation.

As I graduated high school, my father, who was in Africa working on oil infrastructure for Nigeria, recommended I explore a career in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration.
I found mechanical work fascinating, and it appeared to be an intriguing field.
The challenge lay in securing a good education, acquiring experience, and discovering opportunities.
Eventually, everything aligned, and I enrolled in a small vocational school to study window units.
I understood I needed additional training and opted for Cincinnati Technical College.
I earned an associate degree in mechanical engineering and graduated cum laude, second in my class.
For the next eight years, I worked on various projects in the Cincinnati area.
I returned to Indiana in 1992 and established my own heating and air conditioning business.
We specialized in designing and engineering heating and cooling systems that were energy efficient.
We aimed to create systems that delivered consistent temperatures, operated quietly, and functioned as designed.
