Home Warranty referred us, company put a wax seal and sealant on a pipe leak in the ceiling instead of replacing the pipe correctly. He even called other plumbing company a crook.

Probably the worst service I have had from a professional business like this. The property manager of the house I rent and I are both perplexed. Edge was called to come out because the pilot light for the the water heater would not stay lit. We told the company what the issue with the water heater was and what part we thought they would need to fix the issue.

The tech showed up the next day and stated that he knew that there was an issue with the water heater and that it was something to do with the pilot light. Yet he had not brought any parts at all with him to fix the water heater. Told me he would go pick up the part and come right back to fix the issue.

Now am not a plumber but I know enough to understand that if there is an issue with the pilot light on a water heater that there are only a small number of things that can cause those issues, and that the most common issue with a water heater pilot light is a bad thermal couple that is a part that normally costs $15 or less and takes less than an hour to replace.

Three hours after the tech left to go get the part the property manager called me with someone on the line from Edge. She was rude to both myself and the property manager. Told us that the tech was not going to come back out. That no one could come back until the following day. So then I would have to take off work and be at home waiting for them to come back and fix the problem another day. I explained to them that it was not possible for someone to be there the next day my wife and I both work and can not just keep taking time off work because they came out to a call completely unprepared. From that point on they refused to answer or return any calls from the property manager or myself.

This is completely unprofessional, instead of being prepared and having a small inexpensive manageable part on hand to fix the water heater they show up knowing full well that there was a problem with the water heater, then make a promise to go get the part, come right back to fix it and not follow thru. I mean the tech said he had my number, how simple would it have been to even make a call to me prior to showing up at my house to ask me about the problem to get an idea of wether or not he needed to stop and get a part of parts to fix the issue. Instead they show up under the false pretense that they will fix the issue make promises to return with the part and fix the issue ASAP. Then become rude to myself and to the property manager about how that's not how things work with the home Warrenty company.

Well isn't it just common sense that if you are being called to come and fix a problem that is supposed to be within your specialty to fix that you would show up prepared with at least a couple of parts on hand to make the repair.

This all seems to me like a bait and switch scam that they are using in order to be able to force people to pay a second service charge instead of just actually fixing the issue on the first call. That is just a dishonest business practice.

So they left our family without hot water in our home in the middle of winter all so they could make an extra $$$ rather than doing the right thing by being prepared for the job or following through with the promise they made to come back with the part to fix the issue ASAP.

I also found a rating from the Better Business Bureau that rates this company as an F because they had hired unlicensed people to do work that requires a state license. They were fined by the state for allowing unlicensed workers to do work with out a licensed person there to supervise or oversee the work.

Not sure how this company had received as many high ratings and reviews if this is how they treat customers and how they operate their business.

The property manager and I ended up fixing the problem ourselves. So this company was paid for a service call to do absolutely nothing but waist my time, the property managers time and money.

The plumber who came out was very nice and very helpful. He wrote down the problem and took the order. He was on time and showed up when he said he would which is refreshing.

They were sent out by our Home Warranty company to fix a leak in the master shower. He was there under an hour and was anxious to get his service call fee and just get out of there. He didn't want to try to diagnose the issue let alone fix it. He didn't have any knowledge about the specifics of our home warranty and whether anything would be covered (probably because he didn't try to figure out what was actually wrong). He didn't have anyone else to recommend to fix the issue and was out of our house quick as could be and onto his next job. . . . I hope our Home Warranty company quits using them!

I don't know if I've ever been treated so poorly by a customer service provider than I had with this company representative. I can't speak for the rest of the company but this is my experience with one of the employees. And I hate writing bad reviews but I am still unhappy about being treated so poorly.

The plumber named Cody basically said I was lying on not one, but two separate issues. We have one toilet that wasn't flushing well and our general contractor, who had previously been a plumber told me that there was an issue about 3 feet down from the toilet bowl since he had snaked it and hit something that blocked the snake. First of all, Cody from Edge Plumbing said that he wouldn't check the toilet since he said it was working after he flushed it 3-4 times. I told him that it would flush but still get clogged even if there was just a little bit of solid matter and this had been happening for months. I basically begged him to check it and I had my contractor/plumber talk to him before he would even do it. Then he said my contractor/plumber was basically an idiot but I begged him again to check it since the toilet has been getting clogged basically every other day. He snaked it and told me that there was an issue that was about 3 feet down and he'd have to pull the toilet to fix it. So thanks for making me beg and not even saying sorry and not helping me unclog the toilet.
Anyway, I could go on but am getting long winded. Anyway, I had my husband deal with him after I had called and left 2 messages with Edge and got no response from them to finish the job that I had already paid them for and unfortunately had to have them return to our home.
I will not be working with these people again and would not recommend them.

This company was contracted by our home warranty to fix a stoppage under our kitchen sink. I will say, they DID clear the pipe, but when they did so, they found that the pipes were rusted and needed to be fixed or have a new part to properly connect. Instead of fixing the problem, they wrapped Teflon tape around it and jammed it together. Now, three months later, we have another clog that we were about to snake, when we found the tape. We now have to have someone else come out to do the job right after we snake the pipes, because we can't connect the pipes back together, with no couplers in sight but some torn up Teflon.

This company would not stand behind their work when I alerted them to the concerns I had. I don't care about the clog, we could have fixed that ourselves, I care that they found a problem that needed to be fixed and instead rigged it up in a way that is costing us more time and frustration than it should have.
