My A/C wasn't getting my house as cold as the temp I set my thermostat on. I called them to come look at the system. They showed up the next day and performed some tests on the air conditioner. They uncovered some debris and built-up cobwebs within the unit and cleaned it out. They were at my house about an hour, charged a reasonable price, and my house immediately got cooler. I feel so much better after having this done because it got up to 108 outside yesterday!

Stay away from this company!!! They try to stick you with an absolute ridiculous cost for services. They charged me a $85 trip charge which I was expecting. Then, wanted to charge an ADDITIONAL $286.50 to change out my kitchen faucet which I provided. I may understand that cost if they provided the faucet. So they wanted to charge me almost $400 to change out a kitchen faucet which would take them maybe 30 minutes. Please, look for a different company for your plumbing needs.

Called at 5pm yesterday to fix a toilet in our home. They told us that they could come out by 5:30 the same day. We settled on 10 am today and they fixed everything like a charm. When they arrived we had a few more things for them to look at, and they didn't even bat an eye, just got right to it. Great price and wonderful service!!

BUYER BEWARE! This company practices questionable business practices. We needed a simple kitchen sink unclogged. I called on Friday and they agreed to come out Monday at 9:00. The serviceman came out checked it out and called his boss. They came back with a quote of $301.50 plus an $85 service charge to come out. We have rental properties and knew that was absurd. We declined the quote but still had to pay the $85 service fee. The serviceman seemed embarrassed by the quote and admitted that was really high and that this happens quite often. I immediately called Mr. Rooter and 30 minutes later a serviceman was out and it took them 20 minutes to unclogged the drain. They charged $129.50. Their profile on the Better Business Bureau has several complaints of price gouging. Their business model seems to be to come out give an absurd quote and get $85 for doing nothing or do the job for several times what any legitimate business would charge

Called them out do fix a few problems. A leaky pipe in the front of the house. They replaced it and it still leaked. They came out again and fixed it. I was going to have them also install a new faucet in this kitchen, but they wanted to charge me $485 when I already bought the faucet. I called Plumb Crazy. They did it for about 1/4 of the price.

Update! My new plumber reddy rooter came out and fixed if for $120! They found the ground take out in about 30 seconds and there was the problem. EDCO wanted to dig up my pipes and replace for $3000. I haven't had any issues since reddy rooter came out about 3 months ago.

I can't say as to how they work because I wound up hiring someone else to fix a water leak by my meter. EdCo quoted me $1800 to fix the leak while Will Rogers Plumbing charged me $345. Needless to say they won't be on my list the next time I need work done.

On June 7th, 2015, my air stopped cooling. It was on a Sunday evening, so I had to wait until Monday morning to call someone to come out. I called Edco Plumbing, Heating and Air (the Southwest Office) (I'd used them before for plumbing issues) and was told someone would be out later that day. Gary from Edco came out and took at look at my air conditioner. He said the compressor was locked up and that the entire unit would need to be replaced. He gave me two different options-one for $5000 and one for $6000. He said to replace both the heat AND air would run about $11,000. We talked about the coolant and the prices of that. He said right now, the R22 coolant is running around $700. I decided on the $5000 option. He left to go pick up the unit, and I got some advice from others that this seemed to expensive. I called Gary and let him know I was going to check around first.
I then contacted Sunrise Heat and Air. Because of the time of year, they couldn't make it out until Wednesday, June 10th. The repairman came in, walked outside to the unit, back to his truck and then back inside my house. He said 'well, your air is back on!"". Imagine my surprise-I'd been told I had to have a new unit. It was the CAPACITOR, and was fixed for under $300. I mentioned what I'd been told about the price of coolant, and was told it's not even half that price. Sunrise also said to replace my entire heat and air system would cost $6500.
I don't know how a company can make that kind of mistake. So, my thoughts are that it wasn't a MISTAKE. It was blatant dishonesty to hopefully talk a customer into paying for something that isn't even needed.
I'm so frustrated that Edco tried to do this. $5000 is a lot of money. I'm so glad I took the time to get a second opinion. One would think that an air company would check the capacitor FIRST, since this seems to be the cause of most air issues in the summer.
I would discourage anyone from ever utilizing EDCO.

I recently purchased a house built in 1928 that was renovated 5 years ago. A tankless water heater was installed at that time. Over the past several days, the tankless was not turning on, we had REALLY cold showers...it's not fun! Fortunately the previous owner left the instruction guide with Edco Plumbing and their phone number hand written on the cover. I called.
Jerry came out to take a look at the water heater - which he had serviced in the past. He is the most informative plumber I know! I now know what I need to do to keep the tankless running. If I have any plumbing problems in the future, I'll give Edco a call!

This company was recommended to me by a neighbor for a new furnace/heat unit. I had originally called Air Comfort Solutions and got a quote that seemed high. Turns out, the owner of EdCo is the brother of the owner of Air Comfort Solutions.(something I found out in a round about way, but they don't tell you this). Since having the unit installed 16 months ago, I have had no real issues, but have used EdCo 3-4 times since to come out for routine service/check-up on air conditioner/heater. 2 days ago, the 16 month old new heater stopped working (in this week-long below freezing cold snap). Call was made and tech came out. I don't have an issue with the tech. He's the one that has always came out. (I did research/troubleshoot myself before calling, and there were a few probable causes for my issue (new roof, vent cap may have slipped into improper position, and frozen fog/moisture could have caused my issue, both which were real possibilities). Tech eliminated each of those and other minor things and after roughly 30 minutes, finally determined that the unit's motherboard was ""shot"". Tech put in a temp. replacement to get my heat going again, while he went to fetch a new motherboard, which was still covered under warranty. He returned roughly 30 minutes later, installed the new motherboard and all was fine again. Owner of company apparently ""trails"" his techs, cause tech received phone call while here and had to ""step out"" (twice) to go talk with said owner, who was parked in front of my house. This has happened on several (if not all) of each service call to my house. Said owner never came in on any of those occasions, just sat outside my house. (creepy, if you ask me, but maybe that is a standard practice?). I was then charged a really exorbitant ($400+) ""labor charge"" for the roughly one hour of service, on top of their standard ""service fee"". Owner wanted to charge me an additional 5% for paying with credit card, but the tech finally convinced him that with me being a repeat customer (several times over), to drop that charge. When I confronted the owner via telephone about the exorbitant labor charges , he tells me that that is ""standard"" labor charges. (yeah...whatever). I also reminded him that he was recommended by word of mouth, and that same ""advertising tool"" can be used positively and negatively....to which he gave no concern. So, I'm going to publicly spread, via word of mouth (and whatever other means I can find) to warn people to be extra cautious when dealing with this company's owner. Again, I don't have issue with the service tech(s).
