Although I've experienced reasonable service in the past, my last experience with Ed Young's plumbing was terrible. The plumber sent over didn't seem to know what he was doing. We had a poor flow of cold water coming into the bath tub that we wanted corrected. He fiddled around a bit with the pipes, then told us he he was sorry but no cold water at all was coming through. He charged closed to $200 for the visit and left.

I called another plumbing service who corrected the problem in a short time.

Just wanted to thank Andrew for a job well done for a repair on my outdoor water faucet valve. He supplied the correct parts, and reset the valve washer and seat which took some ingenuity! Installed and running great!
Thanks again!

BUSINESS BUILT ON RACISM
They have what I needed but I'm willing to find another place for future purchases, workers are so RUDE and I can clearly see the racism at the checkout from a lady giving me bad looks not responding to me. Handed me my items and receipt without saying a single word. And ended it with another racist look when I said thank you with a smile, tried to prove myself wrong by letting my white wife getting the items we need and they treated her normal.

It is difficult to write a review when I was intending to go for lunch and the hardware store to get everything in one stop. Evidently, the restaurant and the hardware store are still at war over the parking lot. As soon as I mentioned I was going to go to the restaurant I was asked to leave. So, I did leave. The parking issue has always been painful. Now, it is not. I do not believe I will be back.

Excellent customer service! I recently purchased a grill replacement item from Young's via the internet - it wasn't exactly right. I reached out to them about options and they immediately responded with support. Very impressed - keep up the great job.

Shortly after I blurt the words, ""Ahhhhh, crap!! The [WHATEVER] just broke!!"", I always subsequently, A) Consult with my dad on what I need for him to fix said-[WHATEVER], and then B) Head over to Ed Young's to find said-thing. This hardware store is usually reliable in having whatever basic parts or equipment we need. Parking in the lot is typically plentiful, but can be busy when events are happening in the village. Otherwise, it is easy-in-and-out at the light at this plaza.

When I walk in, I immediately look confused and on the verge of panic. But within a few seconds, a friendly store attendant swoops in to lead me to my needed item. If I were more DIY-inclined in general, the store is well organized where any handy-person could find items themselves, if they have any idea what the thing they're looking for actually looks like. But I'm just the go-get-it-person in this enterprise, my dad is always Mr. Fix-It. So the super-helpful staff here is greatly appreciated!!

One day when stopping in for whatever needed said-item, the front-left corner of the store caught my eye. I thought, ""Huh, that's not tools, how odd."", and wandered over. As it turns out, there is an entire gift shop area in the front of the store, with all sorts of giftable goodies. There are candles, greeting cards and notecards, soaps, home décor, Buffalo-themed items, games and toys, socks and slippers, some apparel, and an assortment of other kinds of unique gifts. If you are looking for something more in particular, there is a desk in the gift area with an attendant, ready to help. Never in my life have I moseyed the aisles of a hardware store and actually enjoyed myself, but Ed Young's definitely bucks that trend for me! Now I actually come here specifically for gifts, if I need to grab a little something nice and affordable for someone.

If you need any sort of basic hardware store part or equipment, Ed Young's probably has it at a reasonable local store price, with friendly service to help you find it. Or if you are shopping for a gift, Ed Young's actually has that too. If you're strolling the Williamsville village boutiques, I kid you not, this hardware store is worth the browse for gifts, too!!

The hose in my kitchen sink ruptured and started spraying water. After watching countless YouTube videos I discovered how to remove the hose by disconnecting it from what's called a Collet Connector. Apparently said connector is a rarity and a royal PITA in the plumbing community.
So I went to Home Depot thinking its a guarantee they'll have a replacement hose with the necessary connection. After waiting 15 minutes for the plumping associate to help me, he said I've never heard of that connection and don't have it available. But the best tip he gave me was to call Ed Young's up in Williamsville. I thought to myself there's no chance in hell this mom and pop store is going to have any idea what I'm looking for let alone carry an item that Home Depot and Lowe's do not have.
I gave them a call. They knew exactly what I was looking for and confirmed it was in stock. When I arrived for pickup I noticed the employee to customer ratio was 1:1. Everyone was helpful and welcoming.
When I arrived at the plumping department they had my hose ready to go. I was still hesitant the hose was not a match but the associate compared it to my defective unit thoroughly.
When I went to the checkout I thought this place is too good to be true. Lets throw a curve ball. ""Do you have any dog leashes and poop bags?"". Thinking this would be a let down the girl behind the counter said, ""Oh yes, aisle seven"". I was dumfounded again.
The only crappy thing about this place is everything is about double the price of Amazon. But its 100% well worth it. You get your items instantly and you're supporting small business which is rare in today's world.

Truly ""the neighborhood hardware store"" in an era when the big boxy places that don't care about community continue to somehow attract customers.

All you have to do is pay attention to the number of employees who are ready to help you when you walk in. Notice the smiles and listen as staff members greet various customers by their first names.

They have the name brands you want to find in hardware stores at prices that won't drill a hole in your bank account.

They understand that some people (like me) are clueless when it comes to plumbing or electrical issues and they will patiently provide the solutions.

They offer in home plumbing work that is available on a timely basis and they remember their customers!

They have been in business since I was a little boy and that was a long time ago. It's clear that they're doing something right in the Village of Williamsville. That should give you all the incentive you need to get your hardware needs taken care of here.

Water heater died. Ed Young's had a good price and the installation was smooth work by their guy. Highly recommended.

About two months ago we had Ed Young Plumbing come into our newly purchased home to do some repairs. We have gone to their store in Williamsville and found them reliable, so contracted them for repairs for our basement bathroom. The work done was satisfactory, but when my husband asked for some advice for a leaky washtub faucet, the guy who had just finished the bathroom plumbing repair said he would replace the leaky faucet's washer while he was still there. Sticker shock happened when he presented my husband the bill , the extra charge was $65 for a 65 cent part and two minutes of work. That was $65 over the price of the work already done. My husband refuses to contact the company and complain about what that guy did and charged. My question is, why charge a second service call when he was already there. We have decided not to use Ed Young Plumbing in the future because of their over pricing/charging.
