Spencer arrived within an hour of my phone call (regarding raw sewage coming up from a drain). He used a lighted camera on a snake to help diagnosis the problem and had me take a look. He was courteous, and his service was excellent. Note: To do the work, a water hose and hydro-jet were connected to the main sewer line near the curb on a busy street - It was a good idea to do the work at night because there is little foot traffic on the sidewalk;
C. R.I had a front yard water valve for the garden hose replaced as it was leaking water big time flooding our lawn water running down the street. After calling the guy claims he saw the problem that he would have to replace the valve.. He mentions about the galvanize pipe needing replacement. I know my roommate just wanted the water to stop leaking on a Sunday Night, The service/driver was Spencer who was punctual & polite.No Senior discount was the only minor thing for my roommate being over 60 years old yet otherwise everything went fine, problem promptly resolved. No more water running down the street..
THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF! I called this company for a plumbing problem and John came out and told me it would cost $3,100. Because it was an emergency, he did a temporary fix for me assuming they would finish the job. The temporary fix was included in the job cost. I was thinking that the total price was quite high, so I told him I wanted to shop around. I googled and learned that big city plumbers charge $75-140/hr, so I was floored when he charged me $550 for the half an hour job to cut the copper pipe and solder with a cap. I found out later from another plumber the total job should have been $1900 and the temporary fix should have been less than $250! (the parts were minimal) I complained to his supervisor, and the supervisor never called me back. I guess this is their company culture to overcharge people. I agree many of the bad reviews that was written about them! NOT ECONOMY AT ALL!
Andy C.I would never use this company. I called when my water heater won't working, a lady told me send a technician to estimate without charge. End up I have to paid $275 for an estimate and $750 for order a part and installation later. I find out the part order from manufacture only cost $49 plus shipping. What the fxck!
Had a water line break and the management company for my property had these guys over to fix it within two hours. And on a Sunday afternoon, no less. Kudos to Spencer and Albert.
Leah N.I do not think I will be using this company again. Although they did a fast job fixing unclogging a drain, the price was too high and according to the technician the specials announced on their website were all expired. If they are expired they should not be on the website. The person who showed up at my house was very helpful and he had good intentions, but there is not much he can do when he has to deal with situations like these ones. The person who runs the company should keep an eye on these little things to avoid annoying the company's clients.
J P.Don't ever use this service unless you want to be ripped off by guys who want to cheat you. They show on line a special price to unclog drains, shear lie and rip off. The guys shows up doesn't listen to what I have to tell him about a clogged toliet, floods the bathroom and tells me it will be $850 - I told him that I didn't think so and so he cuts the price to $400- and then has the nerve to ask what I could pay. In the meantime, my floor is flooded due to this hooligans carelessness. These guys are rip offs stay away...
I felt completely taken advantage of and scammed by this company. It's one thing to offer a good price to get new customers but it's another to make me feel completely baited and switched with a teaser price.
I called the Dispatch number to get an appointment. I mentioned their prominently advertised $48.88 dollar special to the scheduler and she said that would cover a service with an auger or plunger. I clearly told her this was a basement drain backing up and draining slowly and she said they would try those options first. When the two guys arrived, they took two seconds to look at it, took zero tools with them to the site of the drain except for a flashlight and said ""That's going to be $225, the special rate is for an outside line."" And he pointed towards the street. What does that even mean?? When I called dispatch back the lady said that basically their teaser rate covers them plunging a toilet. Are you serious???? I could go to Ace Hardware and get a plunger myself for less than $48. Honesty and being up front is so important when dealing with trades like plumbers and this company gives plumbers a very bad name. I hated the way I was treated and hope no one has to go through this. Shame on you for dealing with people this way. I would recommend no one uses this company. If their prices jump by 400% once they get to the job site, call a highly rated company right off the bat, you'll end up paying the same but getting honest people who do good work.
These guys really do deliver. I called Friday evening and made appointment for 10 AM. The guys was reasonably punctual - no complaint there. Gave a look at the situation, gave me a quote, not cheap but not unreasonable. He (Henry) went about his business quickly and professionally. Within a half an hour, he was finished, cleaned up, gave us a little ""drain"" advice, and off he went. This was a very good experience. This is the third time we've used Economy Plumbing - don't need to look elsewhere.
The service person charged my wife $325 for a service call where he relighted the water heater and vacuumed the pan. It took him 5 minutes. He offered to replace our furnace for $2700. I have received 2 other estimates (free) and the highest is $1200 to replace the water heater with the exact same service. He tried to take advantage of my wife.
