BEWARE - Deceptive communication practices in several things, only one of which I will describe here.
The phone scheduler tells you estimates are free. I informed her (twice) that we have a pier and beam bungalow, so plumber will have to go under the house to see pipes. estimates are free, she insisted.
When the plumber gets there he charges $200.00 to give me an estimate.
I called again today, sure enough the phone person told me the same thing -- "estimates are free." When I asked why I got charged $200 and pressed her, she reluctantly added, "estimates are free ....unless you have work done, or the plumber has to go under the house, or dig."
So if you live in a pier and beam house and need pipes looked at under there, you should know you will be charged $200.00 for the estimate... maybe more. Good luck with a company that does business this way.
Followup note: the manager returned my call and explained it this way: "THE PLUMBER GAVE YOU A FREE ESTIMATE FOR WHAT IT WOULD COST TO GO UNDER THE HOUSE." Unfortunately, we weren't asking for an estimate for someone to go under the house; we asked for an estimate for repair work, and they charged $200 to give that. Hardly "free." If you enjoy deceptive communication, give them a call.
$200 to go under bungalow pier and beam to look at pipes, in order to give estimate on changing them out.
I also have receive multiple requests to write a review, so here it is.

Came same day, super fast and efficient. Very nice workers. Did not overcharge at all. In fact, you could say they undercharged.... basically we were too scared to pull out our gas stove from the wall. The guys came out and helped us. They were great!

I had a great experience with Economy Plumbing. They were able to come out same day, arrived almost 3 hours earlier than quoted so I didn't have to sit around all day waiting, and solved the problem plus gave me some solutions so it wouldn't continue. Talmage was extremely friendly and helpful! Everything went so smoothly and efficiently; I would definitely recommend!

It was easy to schedule an appointment with Economy Plumbing to replace my kitchen faucet. They called to let me know that they could get my service done earlier in the day. Everything looks good and the technician was professional

I called this plumbing service because my water was coming out of the faucet in the bathtub slow. When I called, I was told that it would be a $60 charge. He came out, looked at it, told me it was my water heater, and charged me $150. I was not told about any "inspection" fee. I paid almost triple--I had another plumber come out and fix the faucet. My water heater was fine--It was the faucet itself. Horrible service and hidden charges....Don't use!

Be prepared for add-on fees and work that isn't guaranteed or warrantied.
I called Economy plumbing to clear the main sewer line on my rental duplex. The plumber arrived at the appointed time, and proceeded to snake the line under the toilet. The snake he used had no cutting attachment, but ended in just a (perhaps) 1/2 inch diameter smooth nub, that would only be able to punch holes in the blockage at best. After snaking the line once, the blockage was not entirely removed, although the drain line cleared temporarily, but filled up again when we ran the water. He snaked the drain a second time, after which the line appeared to be unclogged. This occurred on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, and when we used the shower on Saturday morning, the blockage had returned. I called and left my number on the emergency line; however, I received no response until Monday--which means that on holiday weekends, these folks do not check their emergency lines.
Even if my problem was not technically an emergency (I'm not sure whether it qualifies), I'd think a courtesy call to say "we can't come out until ....." would certainly be warranted for an issue they were supposed to have repaired. The initial service visit cost about $300 for about an hour's-worth of service. When I got back in touch with them to find out if the failure to repair the drain would at least entail another complimentary drain snaking, I was told the repair was not warrantied, but they'd come take another look for free and provide an estimate. I scheduled that second look, and a few minutes later the plumber called me to tell me that the next step, since the snaking failed, was "camera and jetter," and he'd send an estimate over--it was pointless to come out because he didn't have the equipment in his vehicle. The quote arrived--and it was another $1000, most of which was just going to be the use of a "jetter," a high-pressure water treatment designed to remove blockages. My landlord, who paid for the initial plumbing visit, had wanted to do that himself anyway.
Is this how plumbing services work? Do they do a basic, non-warrantied repair (which the plumber FAILED to mention was not warrantied at the time) that is destined to be a temporary fix, so that they can then snag the second visit? I have no love for this company, which doesn't even monitor the emergency phone line they provide, doesn't provide a courtesy call even just to say that they can't come, and does work that is not warrantied without telling the customer it isn't warrantied.
"Economy Plumbing Services." Worst name ever.

Economy was very prompt and even came out on a Sunday afternoon when we had a hole in the water heater. We have used them a couple of times and have had a good experience both times. Because of exceedingly hard water, we have had to have our water heaters replaced a couple of times. Other companies have been more expensive and we have to wait much longer for them to come out. Economy fixed some of the problems these other companies created when they improperly installed a water heater.

This place is a bloody scam - called them to snake the sink in my sons soon that was clogged - charges me $218 which includes a $60 invoicing fee . I got taken and completely cheated ! Jeez - $218 for that ???. Then learnt a lesson and in future go to Home Depot and buy the snaking kit for $25 and job is done ! Take it from a guy who was fooled ! Never again

Economy Plumbing is a huge joke! They will probably block this review. I had a guy from the Marble Falls location come out, and he loosened all three of my toilets and tried to charge me to replace them. The repair he did on ONE toilet cost me close to $400.00. When I complained to the manager, he acted like he really didn't care. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

Had these guys out because my son ran over a fitting with the lawn mower. This was the pipe connecting down to the sewer from the house. We dug down 90% of the way needed to expose enough of the pipe to determine we needed someone more experienced than us to take care of it.
They came out and gave us an estimate of $1,000 to take care of it. When I balked and told them I'd do something else, they bumped it down to $800 IIRC. $800 for 30 minutes of work because we had pre-dug the hole for them was highway robbery, especially since their name is "Economy Plumbing".
BTW, this was at least a year ago. The only reason I'm writing this now is because they've been pestering my inbox to write them a review. Be careful what you ask for.
