If there are any honest plumbing companies left in Austin, these guys don't make the cut. I needed a water line tapped off the cold water line to the water heater, piping run down the outside of the wall, and connected to a water spigot on the patio. They also started picking out things that were "required" to be fixed or they would be flagged on an inspection. WHAT INSPECTION? They also said the gas shutoff valve feeding the heater had to be replaced. The part was going to be $75. Sorry, HD sells this stuff in their plumbing section.
The water line is an hour job, the perfectly functioning valve, which I'm not going to replace is a 10 minute job. Come on, screwing threaded parts together using thread sealer is not rocket science.
The initial quote was almost $1000. I balked and they knocked off 10%. Wow, could they afford that?
I cancelled the appointment.
Every time I have had to deal with a plumbing company, I walked away feeling like a date rape victim. Not this time. Beware!

From what I gather this is not a plumber, but rather a referral service that acts as a go-between for plumbers who don't want to do their own scheduling.......I asked for the name of the plumber who was to come by and they could only provide a first name and not any information as to their license status. Since you have to be licensed in Texas to do plumbing this is a yellow flag. The first visit was okay, but this was followed by two no-shows and no follow up communication.

Economy Plumbing's estimate is incredibly high compare to other plumber. Sean recommended to replace for two toilets which is leaking between water tank and toilet body. We finally fixed our two toilets under $300 compared Economy Plumbing's estimate is way over $2000. And they also sold us the premium membership for 3 years. We bought this membership which cost is $270 for 3 years, and later recognized we don't need this service for next 3 years. I called for cancellation, but they refused to cancel this membership which is unused. I called several times, but each time they promised to call back, but never called back. But later they issued the refund for 3 years membership.

Anyway, be careful when you get their advice. Please get other professional's second opinion.

Sean has been my saving grace with our hot water heaters. They weren't installed properly by the previous plumber and it's been an adventure. He was out to check something else and I guess intuition kicked in and he checked our water heaters. Lo and behold, they were leaking. Fast forward and we've got new heaters all set and done! Thanks, Sean!

Needed my sink drain snaked out. My snake broke due to a heavy, thick clog caused by excessive misuse from a previous occupant of the house. I had called several plumbers and got quotes for it to be snaked and was shocked at the cost. Some quotes were as high as 250-300 dollars. Well, I called these guys for a quote and it was less than 100$. Their service guy showed up in under an hour and was done in less than 15 minutes. Simple job, but still, great service at a reasonable price.

It's 9:33 PM and Economy Plumbing just now left my house, after arriving at 3:30 today. They were determined to find the problem with my sprinkler system, which only partially worked. My sprinkler guy and the city of Austin couldn't figure out. Both techs worked and sweated in the heat, stayed late, ruled out numerous possible issues, and finally got the problem solved. It's a HUGE relief to have this issue fixed. I cannot recommend Economy Plumbing enough!

I have no reservations recommending Economy Plumbing. I called at 10am on a Monday with a water leak in my garage and they said they can send someone between noon and 2pm the same day (other plumbing companies were telling me to wait 2 days with my garage being flooded). Luke showed up the same day, was absolutely amazing and was determined to do the best job to fix my water leak. The leak was under my house which was very stressful for me but Luke was very re-assuring and told me that it can be fixed. During the whole process of figuring out which line is leaking, disconnecting it and reconnecting it over-ground, Luke was a pleasure to work with: he was very respectful of my house and made to sure to completely clean up. He also went out of his way to make sure that I don't have any other lingering water problems in my house. Luke did not leave my house until he was sure that I was satisfied with all the work that he did. Brendan was very helpful as well, working with Luke to make sure the repairs are done as fast and smooth as possible. The work was very professional and the finished product met my needs exactly.

Overall, a great experience and will definitely contact Economy Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.
