I got a deal on Yelp and they came in to check on a clogged drain in my rental property. The job took 20' at the most and instead of saying this was super easy and charge me an adjusted rate, they actually charged standard rate for a much bigger job. They unclogged the drain, but there is no warranty since they didn't do the plumbing... I wouldn't use them again, but I was in a rush and they were the only plumbing company available at the time.
Got a discount to clear a drain for 160 dollars. When Sean came out he quoted over 800. Stayed for five minutes, laughed at my wife because "she didn't understand" why we needed the extra expenses, and left. It was extremely obvious that he never wanted to be here. Obvious bait and switch.
Oh yea he was an hour and a half late too. If you get Sean it's best to not expect much.
I have finally found my plumber. After bouncing around for a while, Economy will be my plumbing go to from now on. These guys hit it on customer service, professionalism, price, quickness to get here and quickness of completing the job. Jered, my technician today, was great.Great guy and did great work.
I love that you can set up an appt through Yelp, Economy sends great email reminders and text reminders and they call before coming (these guys are using technology the right way to delight customers (from appt reminders to checkout). Jered called 30 minutes before the appt time to say he would be there in 30 minutes. Showed up right on time and knocked it out. Even gave me advice on what dirt to backfill our hole with. I will definitely be using Economy for all future needs.
PS: A huge plus, they happily and willingly accept the Yelp Deal they advertise. This seems to be an issue with some companies. They offer it and then make you feel bad for using it. Not Economy. And that is a huge reason I will go with them for all jobs from now on. I love the Yelp Deal and I love that they know offering and happily accepting it will get them repeat business. I have no reason to look around ever again.
Clay O.From start to finish, this was as great an experience as plumbing repair can be. Making an appointment was easy. Jared and his helper showed up on time twice: once for the estimate and once for the repair (faucet needed to be replaced, which I needed to provide). For both visits, they sent a reminder email, and the plumber called when he was 1/2 hour away. The repair itself was for exactly the amount of the estimate. I had bought the wrong kind of faucet, but Jared thought of a work around on the spot and the job went off without a hitch.
Everybody I dealt with was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Amy W.The first plumber who came out to our place failed to fix either of our two plumbing issues. In fact, for the leak in our kitchen sink--the simpler of the two problems it seems--he informed my husband that we would have to schedule that for another date (even though it was listed in our first request). For the pipe clog, he assured us the issues was fixed. When I started the dishwasher 5 minutes after he left, it was still backed up.
When I called to let Economy know that afternoon, they told me someone would call me back right away. After 3.5 hours, I called again and was told someone would call me the next day. The next day, my husband had to call because no one called him.
A second plumber came out the following afternoon. Despite my husband's clarification, he insisted that we had a septic system and that the repair cost would be $10,000-$11,000 for the clog. Like the other guy, he also did not deal with the basket leak in the sink.
Then, we had another plumber come in (not from Economy). He fixed both issues quickly and charged us a few hundred dollars.
I cannot believe we paid anything for the terrible service provided us by Economy Plumbing. My husband had to take work time off on top of it. We are very disappointed.
Michael S.Ugly. Two plumbers came out last week. Plumber #1 snaked and said we were all clear. We weren't. We called back and they returned the next night(different guy) and tried to convince me I was on septic, had a leeching field or was discharging into the creek. All wrong. He ran a camera which was 100% useless. He refused to snake the drain because the guy the night before broke his machine on my pipe. Plumber #2 said he'd "talk to his boss" and might run the "jetter" for 400 bucks. Keep your jetter, I'll keep my 400 bucks. Wasted money and time. Plumber #2 also recommended two lift stations that are not necessary and would run 10-12 k. So glad I kissed my 130$ goodbye and went with a different plumber.
Ed C.Having a failed water heater, i got quotes from the big companies and was shocked at at the outrageous prices. One company claimed I was getting a good deal for $1800, after he discounted it from $2100.
I called economy plumbing services and was quoted a very reasonable price. Roger and his assistant Cody came by on time and installed the hot water heater quickly with no added costs beyond the initial quote.
Great service, great price...highly recommended!
Donna W.Labor Day...and I all of the sudden have a steady flow of water dripping out of a light bulb in the ceiling of my garage. Electricity and water don't mix, so I desperately started calling plumbers. I called about 25 plumbers...most didn't answer their phones...and of the ones who did, nobody could come out for days. The one I found who would come out same day was charging an extra $200 surcharge because it was a holiday. Economy Plumbing not only didn't charge extra because it was a holiday, they were going to have someone at my house within an hour. Holy cow! I felt like I could breathe again! Before they ended up coming out, I found out that the leak was due to an air conditioner and not a plumbing issue, but I was so impressed with the fact that they were willing to come to my rescue almost immediately, on a holiday, with no surcharge, that I had to stop and give a 5 star review. Now THAT'S service!
Richard K.This company is very organized and fantastic at communicating. The journeyman and apprentice who came to fix a leak in my yard were very slow, but they got the job done. Eventually. They were slightly more expensive than other companies, but the Yelp coupon I purchased was nice.
It was an after hours call. They weren't sure they could send any one. Roger, the plumber, who has been out before was graciuos enough to come. He took care of it in no time at all! Roger knows what he doing & explains what the problem is & the potential damage will happen when it is not handled properly. Also, they are truly concerned about you being satisfied with the work. Amy
