Here is my experience with these idiots:

- my contractor hired them to do the plumbing for the complete renovation of my Victorian building. I was working primarily with the owners of this company, who in hindsight were dishonest and not very nice

- it was a significant effort to actually get them on site to do the work. not only that, but the guys were CLEARLY on serious DRUGS (my guess is meth), nevertheless I dealt with it.

- When they removed a toilet that was being replaced, refuse was left all over the basement walls and they did nothing to keep the job ""clean"" and did not even clean it up. When installing my kitchen they constantly complained that this was a ""hard job"" and often requested I put my personal preferences for how the kitchen was setup aside so that they could take the easy way out.... I can go on, but you get the point

- after about a year after the completion of the job I get a call from their lawyer explaining there is an outstanding balance. I explained this is not my problem as ALL the billing was done through my contractor and they should talk the him

- yesterday the sprinkler system they installed in my building start to dump water from the ceiling. I was told they would only come fix it if I paid the outstanding balance, which I did because they were the only certified repair folks in the area and no one else was legally allowed to touch the sprinkler system

- well, after waiting and waiting, they called me back explaining they will NOT come to fix the leak... which was a real problem for obvious reasons, but namely because it was close to 5pm and next to impossible to find another plumber

- after many calls with the sprinkler system manufacturer, I FINALLY found someone else who would do the work... I was very lucky. Otherwise, I would have had to shut down the water to my whole house, with record breaking low temperatures, which would have been a complete disaster

- the new plumber walked me through all the deficiencies in ALL of the plumbing these guys did on my building... not only did they fail to install the sprinkler heads correctly, but they took numerous liberties in doing EXTRA work that I did not need (such as installing a huge water tank in the basement for the sprinkler, when they could have just installed a pump to increase the water presser.

IN SHORT, THE PLUMBERS WHERE HIGH ON METH, OVERCHARGED, DID MORE WORK THAN WAS NEEDED, AND COMPLETELY LEFT ME HANGING WITH A SERIOUS WATER LEAK WHEN IT WAS CLOSE TO -10 DEGREES OUTSIDE. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU FIND A DIFFERENT PLUMBER. THESE GUYS SHOULD BE LOCKED UP, NOT JUST FOR THE DEFICIENCIES IN THEIR WORK BUT FOR BEING COMPLETE JERKS. I AM JUST THANKFUL THAT I HAVE THE ABILITY TO GET MY LAWYERS ALL OVER THEM IF ANYTHING FAILS IN THE FUTURE.

(Let me add, that the woman who answers the phone is incredibly kind and top-notch. I just hope they treat her better than their customers. If you are looking for a receptionist / dispatcher, you should hire her. her name is Robin)

Very disappointed with them. Would not take any new customers even though they are located in the same town within 2 minutes of my house and advertise that they service natural gas boilers just like the one I have.

One of your service employees was at my house for the second time 6/9/2015. He was clearly doing subbed out work for pine state services. He charged 385 dollars just to change out TWO yes TWO stainless steel hose to stop a leak he should of stopped when he was here on 6/8/15. Then he clearly lied to state pine services saying all the stuff he had to do which is why he had to charge that much. I watched him the whole time, he didn't do anything to warrant that kind of bill. Needless to say I will never ever call your company or pine state services ever for any kind of plumbing work, I will tell everyone I know what a scam your business is. And by the way the technicians name was Owen.

I called Caron and Waltz a few months ago, because I was having issues with my Rinnai heater. It was throwing an error code and wasn't working. The previous owners of the house had used C&W for the same code and left the invoice behind, so I decided to call and have them fix it again.

I was informed that there was a $84.00\hr minimum 1 hr charge for the visit and was okay with that. I was at work, and they agreed to call me when they were at the house, and said that they intended to get there around noon. I freed up my schedule and stood by my phone, and did not receive a call from them well past noon.

1st issue- Lack of communication- I understand that jobs run over, such is life. Keeping open lines with your customers in these situations is key to good business. Customers hate taking time off for late service--but we get it. You just need to let us know that you'll be late.

2nd issue- After contacting C&W in the afternoon, I found that they had already been to the house, without letting me know that they were there. The plan was to call me when they were there, so I could meet with them while the work was done.

I got home and the heater was working fine- no errors. I asked what the issue was and they said that the power might have gone out while the machine was trying to turn on, and that might have caused the issue. They told me that I could kill the power and turn it back on again 2 minutes later if it ran into that error code again. I wished that I hadn't paid for such a simple fix, but know that time is money and understood and paid my bill.

The first time I turned the heater back on after the service visit, it ran an error code 11. I contacted them right away to let them know that the first time I shut it off and turned it back on since they left, the same error was occurring. In discussing another visit, they said that I would have been upset if they had stayed longer waiting for another error the first time, and I had to pay for the first visit and any visit thereafter, even though the first yielded no results. I just wanted to pay for my heater to be fixed, and not for hours and hours of visits with no results. I cancelled the appointment, because I did not find them helpful the first time around, but more importantly, they lacked basic customer service skills--and repair skills! In an email conversation, the employee I was in contact with escalated the matter to the owners\manager--and they did not have any input on the matter.

I would not recommend this company. They charged me for a visit that yielded no results, did not provide an in depth description of the work that was done on that visit, and did not call me (as agreed upon), so that I could be there when the work was done. Their customer service was not sufficient, and their repair skills were lacking\non-existent within my experience.

Ughh, where to start. We hired Caron and Waltz a few years ago to remodel a bathroom. They came out and gave us an estimate for the job. They assured us they do it all the time and have a great crew. We worked out an agreement based on me doing the finish work and them doing the plumbing, electrical, sheet rock and sub floor.

There were many many issues with the job. They never installed the hardy backer subfloor they said they would (it was on the contract, we were billed for it) So the day I took off work to do the tile foor was spent doing sub floor instead. Then I had to take a second day off to do the tile.

They never told us the tub lay over would be 2 sided only. So much to our surprise we came home to a half built wen wall built about 4 feet high. This will was about 1 foot away from the toilet. It looked absolutely absurd. We made them take it down and build on just high enough to cover the unfinished side of the tub.

When I started tiling the shower I realized another issue. They never bothered to shim the sheet rock. So instead of being square from top to bottom there was a slight angle. This is due to them sheetrocking over the lip of the tub. Of course it took a few rows of tile to show up. So at the inner edge of the shower the tiles had to be cut at an angle to compensate. From top to bottom its about 3/4"" ... which just makes my tile work look shotty which is something that bothers me.

The guy who installed the shower controls stripped the set screw, which was evident when I went to replace the valve. He also never bothered to use the supplied silicone to great the valve, which caused it to wear out in less than a year. Luckily MOEN covered the replacement.

The electrician came to do the outlets and they had screwed up where they were supposed to go, he said they would have to come back and re do the sheet rock which they did. When they finally got that right they did a half assed job sanding the joints down. The wall is super wavey now with paint on it and you can even see spots where the dry wall screws are!

The list goes on and on. They did end up taking a substantial amount off the bill when the owner came out and inspected the job. It was one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had.

We have used C&W over the years for all our plumbing needs. Recently, I called for a job that required a plumber over the weekend. I believe I spoke with their receptionist named Linda? and explained that the plumber we normally use would be great, since he is familiar with our bathroom. With that came a rant about how this particular plumber normally has the weekends off because he works 40+ hours a week and how he spends the weekends with his family and how he would have to come in especially for this, and on and on. I stated that it was NOT imperative that he come, but I was simply inquiring if he were available. I continued to hear an earful of how the weekend rate was higher than the normal rate, due to their emergency on call hours, to which I said was fine. I still got nothing but attitude! After all that, she was completely uncooperative and reluctant in setting up the appointment to have the service done- I was shocked!! Isn't this why people call plumbers?! I was so blown away by this ridiculousness that I finally said, ""Nevermind, I'll call someone else to do it"".
