The year 1957 marked the inception of East End Plumbing & Mechanical with $4,000 in initial funding. This amount was raised by Arthur V. Mascilli Sr. through a veterans life insurance policy. What seemed like a poor decision evolved into a significant triumph. Today, over 50 years later, we enjoy a multi-million dollar backlog annually and a respected clientele throughout the Southwestern Pennsylvania region.

At 15, Arthur started his plumbing apprenticeship in Italy. He moved to America soon after. Upon his arrival, he enrolled in Connelly Technical Institute at 17 to start a five-year training and apprenticeship in plumbing. After completing his apprenticeship, he earned his Journeyman license from the Allegheny County Health Department. Just one week later, he received military draft orders for active duty during the Korean Conflict. He served in both the Construction and Combat Engineering divisions.
