I was very disappointed with East Coast Mechanical (ECM). I had a Groupon for an a/c tune-up. When I called to make the appointment, I was given a window of 1 - 6pm. I asked if the technician could call me prior to his arrival and was told that he would call 1/2 hour before. I did not receive a call until the technician was at my house. I told him that I would be home in 10 to 20 minutes. He said that he didn't think he could wait that long, but then after acknowledging no call was made 30 minutes prior to arrival he decided to stay for the appointment. When the technician was done, I was told that my system could break down at any time and he suggested I have a Lennix system installed before the summer heat for $7000 or get a reme halo installed in the ductwork for about $1000 to prevent more rust from forming and to clean the air. He said that he RAN MY CREDIT and that I qualify for a home equity loan for $63 per month to the new system installed. I WAS NEVER ASKED AND NEVER AUTHORIZED A CREDIT CHECK. I had another a/c company that I previously dealt with come to give me another opinion. He told me that the drain was clogged (I would have expected the ECM tech to drain it as part of a tune-up), the reme halo was a waste of $1000 and I probably have 2-3 years before I have to replace the whole system. He also said that I could get a new system for about $4200. DO NOT USE

ECM replaces 4 out of my 5 AC zones both inside and outside and they did a repair on the 5th zone which needed a new coil. They did a great job! We recommend them for your AC needs.

This company is nothing but a scam. Called them yesterday as my water heater was gushing water. Refused to come for several hours stating the are not emergency services. Called a plumber to come to turn off water as my husband is disabled and I didn't know how. Tremendous amount of damage inside house. ECM technician said I would get a replacement water heater and only had to pay for a permit. Today they called and said we weren't covered as plumber moved the water heater to shut off water. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT with ECM!

Nothing but problems with ECM. I have a 10 year manufacture warranty on parts and a 10 year labor warranty with ECM. They installed my unit 9 years ago and they maintain it every year. I had my usual maintenance done last week. In nine years of service, this is the first time they inspected the coil in the air handler. They said the coil was corroded DUE to lack of maintenance. They told me it was not covered by manufacture. I called the manufacture and they said I was covered. I called back ECM, getting the run around from one department to another, finally getting a manager. The response I received from her """"Even if the part is under Warranty, we are REFUSING to fix it because of the cost factor for labor."""" They pick and choose what to fix and what not to fix? Why have a 10 year Labor warranty if they do NOT honor it? See you Court ECM!!

This is only for new AC and instalation. They were prompt and on time. Cleaned up after job. Price was not the lowest and need to call them about lack of air in one of our rooms. Overall pretty good.

service contract waste of time, did every thing i was told to do end result mold in air handler.object of service call was to sell something.......800 bucks uv light i still dont know if mold is in system looking at my legal options

I've had nothing but great experiences with ECM. Courteous, helpful, professional and best of all affordable!

WOW...I thought Atlas was extremely bad (and they are)...Tried these guys and THEY'RE EVEN WORSE! They exclude almost everything that ever breaks instead of covering it. Techs are rude and seem not to be too bright.....always trying to sell you something not covered.... In my case a new a/c...I called another company and the repair was under $100 to return the unit to """"like new"""" condition. My advice...stay FAR away from ECM and as far from Atlas as possible....they both play DIRTY and are NOT to be trusted at all.

called with an emergency ( no a/c) they ( Barbara & Yodi) were courteous, professional and had someone out to me in two hours, they fixed the problem. The service tech Elvin explained everything, worked cleanly and has great customer service skills. Great Job!

The service tech was fantastic, explained everything in detail and did quality work. We had them come out on a Sunday and paid $120 for the travel. Two weeks later the unit went out again, the repairs were not related but we were promised on the phone they would not charge the $90 travel fee since they had just been out. When the Tech was done he informed me that his boss would not wave the fee because no one would verify the verbal agreement to wave the fee. To make a long story short we paid over $700 in repairs with $210 of that being travel in two weeks. We had planned to sign a service contract but after that experience, I think we will be looking elsewhere.
