We disconneted the gas services for 3 months because and when we connect gas again, the Water heater that was working perfectly before, didn't light up. We called Frymire, but apparently they went bankrupt now and Earthwise home services bought their name. This was never mentioned to us while we made an appointment. The reason we called them because they already worked on our heater before and we assumed they new what part was replaced.
The technician arrived and after a few minutes of trying to light up the water heater told me that they can replace the parts (he didn't specify what parts are broken, because he didn't really knew what was wrong with the heater), but it will cost about $800 and they cannot guarantee that it will work. Or they can replace the heater. They even give me a "Discount". So called discount meant that they didn't provide the warranty for the labor, only manufacturer warranty for the tank. It still was more expensive than other companies, but they couldn't do it the same day. So we agreed. When they replaced the heater, the new heater wouldn't start up also!!!So they have to blow the gas line that is connected to the heater to make it work! So basically they made me to agree to replace the heater instead of just cleaning the gas supply line!!! After reading some reviews here I understand that it is their normal policy - if the item is old (in their understanding). I called the number that is listed as President Guarantee and talked to President. But it wasn't helpful. Apparently, i am not the only one here with the similar problem. I guess it is time to file a complaint with BBB.

Bobby & Rob were very professional & explained exactly what they were doing to solve our water problem. I trusted their suggestion on fixing the problem & they were exactly right! No more problem after their service & we are very thankful for their courtesy! I would and do call Earthwise because I know our problem will be taken care of! Thank you for always doing a good job!!

STAY AWAY! I originally wrote a 5-star review, and later learned I was ripped off. I learned by contacting them for A/C services, was supposed to be charged $89 and price absorbed if they do the work. Didn't happen last time (way overcharged to connect a gas range) and they now say they did away with the $89 absorbed if they do the work in late June. Won't give info on how they charge for A/C work if repairs are needed, lady on phone just says "she knows how she gets paid, not how the A/C guy get paid or charge". Want you to join their "club" for supposed priority (otherwise they call it an 'on-demand' service call) and NOW I realize I have been taken once for plumbing, but NOT TWICE for their A/C service. No guidelines for repairs, price gouges just like other reviews state. Don't go near this company that tried to improve but has gone back t their old cheating ways.

I had an appointment scheduled months in advance. I talked to two people (one via chat and one via phone) in an attempt to reconfirm the appointment. I was told they would call me beck to reconfirm. Nobody called me back. Nobody showed up for the appointment. When I called about the no-show, they said they were too busy and could not come. Apparently, they couldn't be bothered to call me to tell me they would not be coming. They just didn't show up after I scheduled my life around being home for the appointment.

Beware of this company. First of all, they took over Frymire when they went bankrupt. There was no notice to the customers when this happened. They still still operate under and using the Frymire name but don't honor any previous relationships. Last year, I got a 'membership' with them and then had a problem this year with 2 months left in my membership. For them to come service me, they were going to require me to buy a new membership. This is all after I lost my 10 year service warranty when the company went under. I won't be back! The impression I got was 'too bad so sad. We have you under the gun and will make you do what we want.'

They quoted me ~$700 to replace my garbage disposal. They then lowered the price to $500 if I did the service that day. With some fast googling while the technician was talking to me,I found that most 3/4 horse power insinkerators cost $145. Plus $109 for Home depot to install. So $700 woud've been outrageous. The tech was kind but I wasn't going to be swayed by that. PLEASE do research before signing. I will not be calling this company again. Even though they gave me a "complimentary" service plan even though I had to pay the $89 service fee for them to come out and quote me those prices. CRAZY.

On 3/6/18 Earthwise sent a plumber to repair plumbing issues. The issues were never resolved and the plumber stepped thru the ceiling causing damage. There was a hole in the ceiling and Earthwise stated they would send someone out to repair it. Once the "contractor" named Angel arrived he charged an extra $200 because I requested the ceiling match the area that was being patched. He said this wasn't covered by Earthwise. He only wanted to patch and paint the area where the plumber stepped thru the ceiling. The "contractor" was onsite in my home for 2 days and never completed the repairs to the ceiling. I had to hire someone new to come in and finish the repairs to the ceiling. Once the new company came to inspect the room it was discovered that the area that he was patching was done incorrectly and it had to be redone. Angle had also painted / patched over other areas and they began to bubble and the new company had to completely re-float the ceiling and paint the ceiling. This cost me an additional $850. I attempted to call Earthwise numerous times for resolution and was constantly told that they were investigating the issue. I never received a call back. The receptionist always claims that managers are in meetings or that they are not onsite.

Called Earthwise a few weeks back to schedule a water heater maintenance check.Upon arrival
at my home, Ray and Bobby did a complete inspection of my plumbing fixtures in the kitchen, bathrooms, water heater, and main drains. They flushed my water heater and replace the anode rod, and even inspected my sewer line with camera. These guys were completely professional, courteous, thorough , and knowledgeable. They educated me about my water heater and how to keep it maintained. I WILL DEFINITELY use Earthwise again and I highly recommend their services. Ray and Bobby's customer service scores were off the charts!

$268 to change an anode Rod. That was with $30 off for 5 minutes work. Guess the rods are gold plated.

I recently engaged Earthwise to replace a sewer line and was very pleased with the service provided by Robert, his assistant (Chris) and a company manager, Uriah. Everything associated with the plumbing went exactly as described. Although there was a small issue with the refilling of the trench, Uriah took time out of his Saturday to come to our home, review the issue and arrange for it to be satisfactorily resolved within 48 hours. I found them to be fair and to take professional pride in their work. Thank you, Earthwise!
