They did a great job on the brickwork, but I never got my second bid and my tree died. When I called to have them out again the owner said they have a very high minimum in landscaping jobs and won't remulch.

My experience with Earth Ideas was that they have very poor follow up once they have completed the job. Their failure to communicate creates frustration and a feeling of having bad business practices. The good work they initially did in landscaping my yard was lost in the way they handled follow up issues. They have a serious lack of communication. I cannot recommend this company .

If you choose them to do work for you, don't expect them to come on time. I unfortunately hired them, they showed up 4 hours later.

I had a great experience with Earth Ideas until the end. They came to my property to install gutters, new drain around the house, regrade the yard, and lay new sod down. All the major issues look good but they didn't bring enough sod to complete the job. They left a patch on the side of my property with out sod. They also were suppose to sod the entire backyard but failed to do so. For the backyard part of it they dug up the current grass(full of weeds) took some dirt out to regrade and put the old grass on top and didn't not sod one section. Spoke with Mike the salesman said he would be back out later that week to put more sod down but never showed. Contacted Jennifer the office manager though email about the problem and no response. My advice for anyone going to use these guys is to make sure the job is done before you pay them because they will not come back out to finish what we agreed they would do.

I did my due diligence in receiving three estimates for my project to remove a rotted wood patio, replace it with a stamped and stained concrete patio, as well as re-grade my back and side yards for natural water draining and adding sod to the mud pit.

Why I chose Earth Ideas: Comfort and Communication. This was the only quote I wasnt able to be home to show around, but my wife was. She HATES being at home with contractors. Earth Ideas Rep, Mike, was phenominal and made my wife feel comfortable and explained clearly to her everything they would do. In contrast, every other contractor I met with had a lack of communication or provided an unclear quote. Mikes quote was detailed and well itemized so I knew exactly what I was getting for my money.

The process was pretty effortless. After a standard contract, they communicated timelines well, even through rain delays. The workers were clean and tidy throughout the project. In the end I got exactly what I expected for a reasonable price.

Earth Ideas will be my one stop shop for landscaping needs.

Highly recommend. They installed a drainage system on the side of our home that had standing water always when it rained hard. The install team lead by Mike was professional, finished in one day, and cleaned up everything. Will use again.

I was looking for a drainage system for the front and back yard. Over the years the drainage had become poor due to landscape changes, large roots and the recent year of high water and rain. The wood floors were damaged due to the collection of water that traveled under the house/ wood floors due to the collection around the yards. I contacted a few contractors/ landscaping businesses and decided on Earth Ideas due to their professionalism, affordable pricing and knowledge about the type of drainage needed, as well as removal of necessary large rooted plants and trees.
I was extremely happy from first conversation to last. Earth Ideas was very prompt in getting back to me whenever I called or needed to discuss any part of the project. Even at last minute request by me, they fulfilled HOA standards and replaced plants and foliage per strict standards. I cannot thank Mike, Jennifer and their crew enough for all of their hard work, high quality customer service, their excellence and professionalism. They also called back to make sure we were satisfied with the job. I will DEFINITELY use them again.

To be fair I have used Earth Ideas over the past couple of years and they have always done good work.

My opinion of this company has been greatly transformed however by the way I was treated primarily by Brian who I would expect more from. I scheduled an appointment for 1:00. When the clock said 1:45 I called to inquire about where they were and I was told I misunderstood their time windows and they could show up any time between 1 - 2.

Brian called me at 1:58pm to say he was 8 minutes out. When i communicated that I was frustrated because I had to be somewhere at 2:30 he proceed to shout at me and tell me how I misunderstood and was wrong for having an expectation of them being here at 1:00 (even though thats when I made my appointment for). I get that they may be here after 1:00 but for it to be 2:00 and not on-site made me feel like they had zero respect for my time.

I have spent many dollars with Earth Ideas but never again. The lack of respect and being yelled at by an employee does not lend itself well to future business.

I hope Earth Ideas was just having an off day and the manner in which I was treated today does not reflect what they have become.

It only takes once and based on that I have to give them a thumbs down based on customer service.

I chose this company to install a drainage system. Although this company was considerably more expensive than the other two quotes I received, I chose them because of their Warranty.

On the day that work was to commence, we received a call stating that they couldn't make it that day. They started the following day. I came home from work on my lunch break to check on the progress, and unfortunately noticed that the layout of the system did not match the quote or the discussion I'd had with the owner. Areas that inches of water would collect, were not addressed by the layout. I discussed my concerns with the foreman; but he informed me that he was not allowed to alter the plans. He told me that I had to talk to the owner, Brian Blalock.

I did call Brian, but as I described the concerns I had - he became exceptionally angry and began to yell at me. This issue was a simple fix, in configuring a single drain to address water issues in an area that I personally discussed with Brian. His screaming tirade lasted several minutes. After not being able to communicate with him by phone, I asked him to come in person to see my concerns - hoping that he would not be so abusive in person. I also had to call my husband to come home from work, so that perhaps he would be able to communicate with Brian.

We finally came to an agreement, after almost two hours of discussion with Brian, calming him from several angry rages, that he would install a drain to address the water issue. They had severed our marked telephone and marked internet lines - and as concession agreed to install the drain for no additional charge. As a consequence, I missed more than half a day of work.

The following day, the system was to be completed. When I checked the work against the quote, there were connections for gutters to the system that not been installed on the south side of the house. The foreman that had worked the job had quit - and no one else spoke English, so I had to call Brian. I was screamed, cursed at, and he threatened legal action against me within a minute. I had to disconnect the call because of his unprofessional behavior and stream of foul language spouting from his mouth. I told the crew - No Check - and asked them to leave as they'd been instructed not to leave without the remainder of the payment.

In the end the General Manager came very late in the evening to install the missing connections and lines. He apologized profusely for his boss' behavior, over and over again.

In the end we have a system that addresses about 90% of the problem, and a worthless warranty - but I am too scared to call again. There are 3 drains that were placed in positions that were unnecessary. There are still areas that could be better addressed. But I'd rather have some issues, than to have to be cursed out and threatened again.

If there is any possibility that some - even minor - issue could arise, please don't chose this company. I did not see the bad reviews that this company had received previously, so I didn't know better.

My husband and I needed a large dead tree removed from our backyard. I had called around with several different tree companies, and Earth Ideas was the fastest in getting us our estimate. When we called them to schedule a time for the work to be done, originally they said that they wouldn't be able to get it scheduled until a couple of weeks out, but they called us back thirty minutes later and said they would contact us about a faster time...Which was pretty random, but we wanted the tree removed, so we said fine. Fast forward to the next morning, Saturday morning at 8 am, when we received a phone call from Earth Ideas, saying their tree removal service would be at our house in forty minutes to remove the tree. They got it done quickly, efficiently, and removed all the debris and wood chunks.

This may seem like a scattered review of service, and admittedly the scheduling process left something to be desired. However, for the price and the professional way that they got the work done, Earth Ideas did a great job. We will be getting in touch with them for any future yard/tree work that we need done.
