Earth Ideas installed a new paver patio in our backyard and did a great job. The price was fair, the workmanship was high quality, and the project only took a few hours. I'd highly recommend them.

We had Earth ideas handle our drainage issue plus landscape back and front. Mike listened to our wants/needs and worked to meet our requests. We had them come back a year later to do more and there were major delays due to Covid and employees being out of work plus weather. We were pleased with the final project--Mike went over and beyond what we anticipated. Michelle was always nice when I called in. The employees were very nice and worked hard to get the job done and clean up afterwards.

I made an appointment 4 weeks ago for today, and nobody showed up. I called after waiting for half an hour for someone to let me know why they are running late, and the rude woman who answered the phone told me that I wasn't on the schedule for having an appointment. DON'T HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR. Beware of people who are not even organized enough to write down their appointments. I wasted 4 weeks of waiting for them to have an availability. I would prefer to give this company no stars.

DON'T EVEN BOTHER, RUDE STAFF...I'd give NO STARS if I Could

I had submitted a request for a quote via their website. They did respond back but unfortunately, I was delayed in getting back to them as I had work obligations that superseded my home maintenance. Nevertheless, when I did call back the person answering the phone, Michelle, was very RUDE and condescending. I have many items to address with the most important one being the lack of drainage in my backyard. As I was explaining the situation, she very rudely cut me off and asked what did I want done. I told her I was trying to explain to her what it was was. She condescending asked did I want to have my yard re-graded or drainage install. I told her I didn't know...hence I was contacting the experts to get their advice for the best solution. I didn't mind the 3-week wait for the appointment. We set the appointment, and before I could even provide her with details of the other items I wanted addressed, she HUNG UP ON ME. No, "Thank you for calling, We'll contact you before we come out." Or, Is there anything else we can help you with". NOTHING, JUST CLICK AND HUNG UP.

If this is the service from the get go... thanks I think I'll pass.

We were very concerned about our home slab, this is Houston after all. I called Earth Ideas. Their engineer, Mark Haas, used a sophisticated laser to measures our home foundation. I was glad to learn our foundation was fine, but tree we tree planted in 2003 was pulling the moisture from under our garage; however, Earth Ideas had a solution.

They suggested a root barrier system, which I researched to my satisfaction. Shortly thereafter, we hired them to install an affordable root barrier system, and commissioned them to install a French drain, and level our flagstone walkway. I'm thrilled to report the entire one day installation process was exceptional. They hand trenched all the necessary areas, and that was hard work! They went above and beyond to accomplish the task, which included work outside of the scope, and cleaned the entire worksite. When they left you would have never known they were there. Amazing!!!

We started this job back in March. First what they did do. The over charged me $400 more than the price we agreed on. They installed six of the seven drains, but they did so incorrectly so there is almost always standing water in the drains. My entire outdoor space is overrun with mosquitoes as a result. They installed my flagstone patio, however it's more gravel than flagstone, so much so it's hard to walk on barefoot. What they didn't do they were supposed to prepare my existing flower beds to get the ready for planting. They removed the existing weeds and plants, but nothing more. No additional soil or prep. They were supposed to create beds in my back along my fence including a plastic sheet between the beds and fence, they didn't. They were supposed to level out my yard and lay sod. They didn't level it at all as there are lots of dips and hills. There idea if the flower bed was to just not lay the sod in the area. I spent over $13k and feel like they didn't do at least 5k of the work unfortunately

Earth Ideas came out drained all of our drains on the weekend all the little places where we would never get to and everything is flowing and draining to the ground within a needle you guys did a superb job.

Earth Ideas FAR exceeded my expectations! Mike came out to my house 50 miles away to see what I needed done just a couple of days after I called, and he talked through the drainage dilemma I was facing along with landscaping/patio ideas. From start to finish the entire project took four days! We even met at the paver place for paver selection, another spot to select a fountain, and finally at the nursery to show me the plants he felt would work best. The large team of hard workers removed the old asphalt in the area, installed a sump pump and two drains with a line running underground the length of the driveway to the street. Then they beautifully installed a large paved patio, fountain, and gorgeous landscaping (incorporating a family heirloom gate) with new sprinkler system lines to the area--all completed in 4 days! It all turned out beautifully with a very competitive price tag! Mike supervised it all from start to finish. I was absolutely amazed at the work ethic, speed, and attention to detail the entire crew showed. I will definitely be calling Earth Ideas again for future projects and recommend them to all of my friends!

A negative 4 is my actual rating! Earth Ideas was hired to put in a drainage system. They managed to cut the cable line, the electric line that runs the sprinkler system, the sprinkler plumbing lines in multiple places, the landscape lighting line, and crack the pool skimmer line. As they did the repairs for the problems THEY created, the owner had the nerve to complain about how we did not catch the issues prior to them leaving the job! Earth Ideas didn't even run the sprinklers before leaving the job. As for the pool line, we decided to bring in someone more knowledgeable to finish the repair as Earth Ideas workers didn't seem to understand how to identify the problem. Our pool line repair cost $1050! The crack was in an area where they were digging and too deep to be created by freeze. When I called Earth Ideas to have them put the yard back together following the repair, the owner complained once again. Ridiculous! Is the drainage system working? Not very well. We haven't had much rain lately, but a small rain still produces soggy areas in the yard that were specifically identified to be addressed. Run away! Call another company! Never use Earth Ideas for anything! Worst experience ever!

Brian and his supervisor Bernardino did an excellent job installing 2 sump pumps on both sides of the yards due to poor drainage issues and a flat slope. All the work was completed as discussed in one day with 12 crew members working on the job.

They had an excellent crew that tied in the rain gutters to the drains and left the yard like nothing had been dug. Did an excellent job cleaning up and making the yard look like nothing happened.

Also, checked all the sprinklers to make sure all were in working order. Tested both pumps and all was in working order. Brian did a call back a day later to check to see if everything was good and I told him yes.

Would highly recommend Earth Ideas for future drainage work!
