We were having drainage issues in our yard. Earth Ideas (Mike) came and and assessed the issue and gave us a couple recommendations. We worked through them together and came up with a great plan. Happy to say, they completed the project today and it looks amazing. You wouldn't know they were there. Extremely reasonably priced and willing to work with you. Most of all, they show up when they say they will, early actually. I would definitely recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience with Earth Ideas. Recently used them on a huge project to overhaul our front and backyards after Hurricane Harvey. The project involved new drainage, sprinkler system, gutters, a patio, all new grass and landscaping. Mike was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the project and he executed the project extremely efficiently. We were impressed at every turn and very happy with the results. Would recommend Mike for any project!

Our backyard turned into a swamp whenever it rained and water sat against the foundation of our house. I wanted to fix the drainage issues and extend our small patio out further. I had several companies give me estimates and I ended up choosing Earth Ideas for the job. From the beginning, the owner Brian and landscape architect Mike made me feel comfortable. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. I can't say enough good things about Mike especially. He oversaw the project and we spoke often throughout. I tend to be a pretty high maintenance customer, asking tons of questions and double checking everything. My fiance will be the first to tell you that. But, Mike was there every step of the way. He made me feel like I was his only customer and was treating my patio like his own. The crew chief Bernardo and his guys were clean, fast and meticulous in the installation. Unsurprisingly, the paver patio turned out beautiful. I couldn't be more happy. I would highly recommend Earth Ideas if you are looking to improve your outdoor living space or fix drainage issues.

Least professional contractor I have ever worked with. Hands down, Bar None.

I have waited to write this review for more than a year. I wanted to give it time, in hopes that my opinion would fade. Unfortunately as time passes, I continue to get angry each time I go into my back yard.

I hired Earth Ideas to install a fence for me. Their foreman even lives in my neighborhood. I thought, GREAT - someone who will take pride in their work as they will see it often and it will make a direct impact on their home values as well.

I ordered a 7' fence, 1' rot board on the bottom, cedar planks with a cap top and a single gate. Very simple for a contractor who does this type of thing regularly.

It took a total of 4 days for my fence to be completed. The second day, none of their staff showed up to work on my fence. After several calls, their foreman came to my house and explained he would work on the fence himself and that they were having challenges with staffing.

They took every shortcut imaginable to complete the gate and fence. My captop is not actually Cedar, rather treated pine and is already cupping, curling and warping. My gate will not shut, as it has already begun sagging. It was never pretty to begin with, as it was poorly and hastily constructed. I never got the latch I requested, where I could open the gate from the inside, in case of emergency or merely for convenience.

I have already had them out to re-set posts. Within a week of the installation, my fence had more waves in it than Galveston Beach. Which, to their credit, they did repair. Unfortunately, it appears that the posts need to be re-set again. Surely a fence that cost this much should last more than a year!

In all, I am very displeased with the company, their service and their work. I would not recommend them to any of my personal friends, family or clients.

I need a new fence on the other side of my yard soon and will not consider earth ideas. In fact, I may get a quote to replace my 1 year old fence as well.

We used Earth Ideas for a pretty major landscaping overhaul of our place in the Heights. Grading, soil replacement, new sod, adding gravel, sprinkler installation, new gate in fence, etc. Their sales rep Mike was very knowledgeable and gave us an itemized written estimate, which we appreciated. Mike showed up every day while his crew was working to check on things, and I even saw him grab a shovel and jump into our muddy ditch to do some of the work himself. We were so happy with the work for the price that we used them again for our next project without getting any other bids. Mike is a nice guy who knows what he is doing, and his guys are conscientious hard workers who clean up after themselves.

Heads up that this company does not service the areas reflected in the map. I called the company to set up an appointment to assess and bid on drainage work. They were given my address, and set up an appointment a couple weeks out. On the day of the appointment, they called to cancel on the ground that they do not service my area. I live inside the loop, just a couple miles southeast from downtown. As this company is also inside the loop, I find it a little hard to believe (though they were nice enough when telling me).

All this to say, don't count on this company. If you need some work done and reach out to this company, make sure you call other companies and get other appointments set up. Otherwise, you may wait weeks only to be stood up with nothing to show for it.

Mike and his team transformed my backyard. No one used the yard other than the dog a few times a day as it was ugly and covered in dead grass and leaves. I was initially looking to improve drainage and replace the grass with gravel after lots of heavy rain and to keep things low maintenance. Mike gave us lots of ideas on how to make the space usable, aesthetic, and kept our dog in mind.

We had a few follow-up meetings/calls with Mike, and throughout the process he was very responsive and receptive to our thoughts. After deciding on the final look, Mike's team came out and completed the project quickly and was sure to keep things clean at the end of both days (despite it being muddy).

My yard now looks fantastic and is a cozy place to enjoy with friends and family. The pup loves it too. We're so pleased with the final results and are happy to recommend them to anyone who needs drainage or landscaping. Compliments to Mike for his outstanding service, too!

Earth Ideas Landscaping is very helpful and knowledgeable about whatever you might need. I had 2 giant oak trees and one creaked concrete driveway needed to be taken care of. The work crew showed up promptly. They were polite, and always greet me with a smile. I had them removed the cracked concrete slabs from the driveway and filled with gravel instead. They cut my trees branches down, cleaned up all the cut branches, and completed the work efficiently. They made my trees and the driveway look great in just 3 days. The owner of the company and his employees Mike and Daisy were so nice and so easy to communicate with.
Over all, this company went above my expectations. They gave a good quote and finished ahead of schedule which is what I needed. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs landscaping service.

They are so great! Talk to Mike first then Brian, them both and the team are so friendly and pro and willing to work with client. Finished the drainage project in 2 days. Wish they would grade my high side back yard a little , but it still look great & it should work well. Now waiting it to rain and see if it's will work, which I think it will. Both my next door neighbor was impress and asked for the #. Highly recommended.

They did a great job on the brickwork, but I never got my second bid and my tree died. When I called to have them out again the owner said they have a very high minimum in landscaping jobs and won't remulch.
