We started this job back in March. First what they did do. The over charged me $400 more than the price we agreed on. They installed six of the seven drains, but they did so incorrectly so there is almost always standing water in the drains. My entire outdoor space is overrun with mosquitoes as a result. They installed my flagstone patio, however it's more gravel than flagstone, so much so it's hard to walk on barefoot. What they didn't do they were supposed to prepare my existing flower beds to get the ready for planting. They removed the existing weeds and plants, but nothing more. No additional soil or prep. They were supposed to create beds in my back along my fence including a plastic sheet between the beds and fence, they didn't. They were supposed to level out my yard and lay sod. They didn't level it at all as there are lots of dips and hills. There idea if the flower bed was to just not lay the sod in the area. I spent over $13k and feel like they didn't do at least 5k of the work unfortunately

Earth Ideas came out drained all of our drains on the weekend all the little places where we would never get to and everything is flowing and draining to the ground within a needle you guys did a superb job.

Earth Ideas FAR exceeded my expectations! Mike came out to my house 50 miles away to see what I needed done just a couple of days after I called, and he talked through the drainage dilemma I was facing along with landscaping/patio ideas. From start to finish the entire project took four days! We even met at the paver place for paver selection, another spot to select a fountain, and finally at the nursery to show me the plants he felt would work best. The large team of hard workers removed the old asphalt in the area, installed a sump pump and two drains with a line running underground the length of the driveway to the street. Then they beautifully installed a large paved patio, fountain, and gorgeous landscaping (incorporating a family heirloom gate) with new sprinkler system lines to the area--all completed in 4 days! It all turned out beautifully with a very competitive price tag! Mike supervised it all from start to finish. I was absolutely amazed at the work ethic, speed, and attention to detail the entire crew showed. I will definitely be calling Earth Ideas again for future projects and recommend them to all of my friends!

A negative 4 is my actual rating! Earth Ideas was hired to put in a drainage system. They managed to cut the cable line, the electric line that runs the sprinkler system, the sprinkler plumbing lines in multiple places, the landscape lighting line, and crack the pool skimmer line. As they did the repairs for the problems THEY created, the owner had the nerve to complain about how we did not catch the issues prior to them leaving the job! Earth Ideas didn't even run the sprinklers before leaving the job. As for the pool line, we decided to bring in someone more knowledgeable to finish the repair as Earth Ideas workers didn't seem to understand how to identify the problem. Our pool line repair cost $1050! The crack was in an area where they were digging and too deep to be created by freeze. When I called Earth Ideas to have them put the yard back together following the repair, the owner complained once again. Ridiculous! Is the drainage system working? Not very well. We haven't had much rain lately, but a small rain still produces soggy areas in the yard that were specifically identified to be addressed. Run away! Call another company! Never use Earth Ideas for anything! Worst experience ever!

Brian and his supervisor Bernardino did an excellent job installing 2 sump pumps on both sides of the yards due to poor drainage issues and a flat slope. All the work was completed as discussed in one day with 12 crew members working on the job.

They had an excellent crew that tied in the rain gutters to the drains and left the yard like nothing had been dug. Did an excellent job cleaning up and making the yard look like nothing happened.

Also, checked all the sprinklers to make sure all were in working order. Tested both pumps and all was in working order. Brian did a call back a day later to check to see if everything was good and I told him yes.

Would highly recommend Earth Ideas for future drainage work!

Do not use this company. Poor excuse for a veteran owned business. They give proposals, you agree to the work, sign customer agreement and then the owner Brian comes out (Nov-march) to look at the job his folks bid out and agreed to do and tells you I wont do it. They are a waste of time I suggest you pick a better company that actually knows how to do the job they say they can do because Earth Ideas Landscaping does not know what they are doing.

We were having drainage issues in our yard. Earth Ideas (Mike) came and and assessed the issue and gave us a couple recommendations. We worked through them together and came up with a great plan. Happy to say, they completed the project today and it looks amazing. You wouldn't know they were there. Extremely reasonably priced and willing to work with you. Most of all, they show up when they say they will, early actually. I would definitely recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience with Earth Ideas. Recently used them on a huge project to overhaul our front and backyards after Hurricane Harvey. The project involved new drainage, sprinkler system, gutters, a patio, all new grass and landscaping. Mike was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the project and he executed the project extremely efficiently. We were impressed at every turn and very happy with the results. Would recommend Mike for any project!

Our backyard turned into a swamp whenever it rained and water sat against the foundation of our house. I wanted to fix the drainage issues and extend our small patio out further. I had several companies give me estimates and I ended up choosing Earth Ideas for the job. From the beginning, the owner Brian and landscape architect Mike made me feel comfortable. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. I can't say enough good things about Mike especially. He oversaw the project and we spoke often throughout. I tend to be a pretty high maintenance customer, asking tons of questions and double checking everything. My fiance will be the first to tell you that. But, Mike was there every step of the way. He made me feel like I was his only customer and was treating my patio like his own. The crew chief Bernardo and his guys were clean, fast and meticulous in the installation. Unsurprisingly, the paver patio turned out beautiful. I couldn't be more happy. I would highly recommend Earth Ideas if you are looking to improve your outdoor living space or fix drainage issues.

Least professional contractor I have ever worked with. Hands down, Bar None.

I have waited to write this review for more than a year. I wanted to give it time, in hopes that my opinion would fade. Unfortunately as time passes, I continue to get angry each time I go into my back yard.

I hired Earth Ideas to install a fence for me. Their foreman even lives in my neighborhood. I thought, GREAT - someone who will take pride in their work as they will see it often and it will make a direct impact on their home values as well.

I ordered a 7' fence, 1' rot board on the bottom, cedar planks with a cap top and a single gate. Very simple for a contractor who does this type of thing regularly.

It took a total of 4 days for my fence to be completed. The second day, none of their staff showed up to work on my fence. After several calls, their foreman came to my house and explained he would work on the fence himself and that they were having challenges with staffing.

They took every shortcut imaginable to complete the gate and fence. My captop is not actually Cedar, rather treated pine and is already cupping, curling and warping. My gate will not shut, as it has already begun sagging. It was never pretty to begin with, as it was poorly and hastily constructed. I never got the latch I requested, where I could open the gate from the inside, in case of emergency or merely for convenience.

I have already had them out to re-set posts. Within a week of the installation, my fence had more waves in it than Galveston Beach. Which, to their credit, they did repair. Unfortunately, it appears that the posts need to be re-set again. Surely a fence that cost this much should last more than a year!

In all, I am very displeased with the company, their service and their work. I would not recommend them to any of my personal friends, family or clients.

I need a new fence on the other side of my yard soon and will not consider earth ideas. In fact, I may get a quote to replace my 1 year old fence as well.
