Company Overview

All-inclusive plumbing services for residential and commercial needs. We provide complimentary estimates & 24/7 emergency plumbing support.

Earl's Performance Plumbing offers professional plumbing solutions, plumbers, backflow testing and repair, hot water system repairs, and emergency plumbing.

Our journey began in the fall of 1998 with a computer, a trusty 1974 Chevy van, and the goal of providing exceptional service. Nicole oversaw the office, and I focused on field operations. We knew that by considering our customers' viewpoints, we could elevate our service quality. You desire a tidy, prompt solution at a fair price. This is the standard we all look for when hiring a professional. Thus, we answer calls 24/7, we put on booties to protect your property, the majority of our customers receive service on the same day, we give clear estimates to prevent unexpected costs; and if you encounter an issue with our service, we dispatch a technician without hesitation.

Dan W. has been part of the Earl's Plumbing team since 2013.

For the past couple of years I have been dealing with the prospect of getting my leach lines repaired and was saving up money in case I needed a new leach field. After asking around and getting no real recommendations I hired Earls Plumbing based on their Yelp reviews. So James told me it would be ""No more than 300.00"" To dig up the septic tanks and use a camera to find what was wrong in the field and this included jackhammering up the sidewalk. After they destroyed my back yard with the concrete they said I had NO leach field and they would need to install one so they hired a septic pumper, a backhoe to dig up my back yard for the county to inspect and wanted to put a leach field in. I hired a friend to keep digging and in FIFTEEN minutes he found the leach field that took Earls TWO days to not find. It dawned on me after they had done all this ""how could I NOT have a leach field for all these years of having a septic tank?""
In the end Earls wanted to charge me 1387.00 for something they said would cost more than 300.00. I am pretty sure that James took the pipe leading from the tank to the leach lines when he dug up my ground so I would believe him that there was no leach field.
I had a real plumber who Is Randy from Precision (awesome guy) to connect the septic to the leach field and it was less than 200.00
Earls was trying to get me to put in a new leach field when I had a perfectly operating one and charge me over 7000 more than originally quoted.. EARLS PLUMBING sucks

Terrible, the work they did is a nightmare, after I showed Donnie the manager where the pipe gets connected to my septic tank , he busted it, covered it with dirt and connected to a pipe that doesn't go any where and I have been requesting them to fix it since the work was done and they refuse. The sink they installed leaks they've come out and tried to fix it and three years later it still leaks and has created mold on the new cabinet I purchased from them which they over charged me several hundred dollars, and broke as it was installed.

This is my second review. Part of business is knowing that you did something wrong. After receiving their bill and leaving a message, I did receive a call from someone higher up. They understood my concerns, waived the bill, and, the part that says this company is a responsible one, they paid for my pump I had picked up. It had been wired which meant I couldn't return it. So, not only did I not get a bill, they reimbursed me for the pump I bought. So, my review went from a 1 to a 4 star.

I guess I'm feeling sorry for the employee that was sent to my house for pump work. Mostly because he was the wrong guy to send. For starters, if you're going to do a job, its best to review what you're doing first. By not doing that, you create an even larger problem. By not knowing what was truly needed, it left me without water for 4 days and having you're employee tell the customer, me, ""don't worry"", we'll be out here Monday (another 3 days without water) to finally fix it right. If you want to add even more insult, the ""fixed right, right now"" motto needs to be changed to add ""fixed right after days of starting with $400 repairs to even quoting a $2600 solution. Bottom line, I called them Friday and let them know I'd fix it. I went to Grainger in Sacramento, picked up the right parts and repaired it in 3 hours. Its never worked better. So, in lieu of a $2600 pricing that ""included everything"", whatever that meant, I spent $724 at Grainger and $20 in plumbing parts (pipe/fittings) and did it myself. Again, I feel bad for the employee that was relying on the office for the ""right information"" to fix it ""right now"". Horrible company to deal with. Don't waste your time. I hired Peters Well Drilling to work on my pump systems for my wells (another issue) that following Monday. None of the baloney stories. They billed by the hour and got it done. Stay away from this company.

BEWARE! Scare tactics and they do not fix the problem. Loss of water pressure. Tech said it was due to galvanized pipes. 4k and then some to replace pipes. 1k to just do the main line to kitchen. Called another plumber, the filter was clogged in the faucet. Scam artists.

With all the great reviews I called Earl's. The fellows that came out were wonderful and sounded very knowledgable. Rather than simply putting in my new fixtures (replacing old ones) they told me the kit did not come with everything. Having just spent almost $1,000 on a bath tub and bathroom sink fixture this seemed odd that everything would not be there. That after noon I received my estimate to replace the old with the new...$675. I called another equally known service in Chico and they also serviced my area. They came out spent less than an hour; found all the pieces and charged me $175!! I do think Ryan's estimate for Earl's was CRAZY. This is not acceptable.

Tech came to snake out toilet. Sold us on new high rise toilet. Overpriced but he was already there so we decided to go for it anyway. Capable young man did a fine job of installation. However, the water was turned off and the pipes drained by mean of an outside garden faucet during changing of the toilet shut off valve. The water was later turned back on but the tech forgot to shut off the garden faucet. An hour or so after the tech left we thought we heard running water. Inspection all around the house found the garden faucet at the back of the house had been running FULL OPEN. Full open for at least a half hour while the tech was still here and the hour or so after he left. Not so good during our drought situation. When Earl's was notified the manager offered an apology two days later even though the tech was supposed to call us personally. No offer was made to reimburse any expense incurred by the wasted water. Our water bill was just received and indicates 102 cubic feet were used over our month's allotment and therefore incurred a surcharge. Retail price of the toilet (not shown on invoice) is approximately $250.00. Our bill was $600.00.

Consider Earl's Plumbing for lawn sprinkler problems because they take care of landscape plumbing issues also. I had a broken PVC pipe in my lawn; after two wasted weeks calling the so-called landscape sprinkler businesses around Chico (who either never returned my calls or just stalled), I contacted Earl's. To my gratified amazement, they sent a technician out the very next day. I was quite impressed with Ryan's professionalism, know-how, and industry. He went right to work, digging a big hole in concrete-like soil on a 100 degree day, and repairing the busted pipe in no time flat. He even replaced a faulty valve on another circuit while he was here. Can't say enough good things about this outfit. If you need lawn sprinkler repair, don't even bother with the landscape/sprinkler repair guys in the Yellow Pages. Call Earl's first!

Our plumbing issue came at the most inconvenient time, Sunday/Mother's day. We called many companies in Chico but Earl's was the most responsive and reasonably priced. The service call for the estimate was not only free of charge but also timely (2 hrs after the initial call was made). Our technician, Ryan W., was fast, thorough, polite, and wonderful to work with. Highly recommended.

Although friendly and knowledgeable, for a $115 part and 20 minutes of installation time on my water heater, it cost me $270! Think about it, that's $155 labor cost, $465 per hour is what they charge! Are you joking? I will not be calling Earl's again.
