My plumber was booked solid so referred me to Todd at Earl Fite plumbing for an emergency water leak. I was extremely impressed with Todd and Mike at Earl Fite. Not only did they move their schedule to help me out with my emergency, they were extremely honest and professional and did great work. I will definitely be using Earl Fite plumbing again in the future and will be referring them to all my family and friends.

3 years after my first review of Earl W Fite & Sons, and about 30 years of being faithful to them, and I'm still standing 100% behind these guys. They are cheerful, prompt, and on top of taking care of your emergency and non-emergency plumbing needs. We've had to call them out 3 times for separate issues in the 4 years we've owned our current home and they're literally so fast WE ask THEM to give us more time to get home to make an on the spot appointment.

High quality work and high quality customer service. Can't beat them.

Try someone else! If you are a landlord needing a plumber for a tenant, or a tenant needing a plumber, this is NOT who you want to call. I was scammed. My tenant complained of a slow drain, and after researching online, I had thought I had made a good choice in referring my tenant to this company. When Earl Fite plumbing was done visiting my condominium, they left my tenant with a bill for $270.00, having accomplished nothing. The clog remained. The plumber was described as elderly, overweight, and incredibly slow when making trips to and from his vehicle. He began with a manual plumber's snake, then went back to his vehicle to retrieve a motorized snake, all the while moving as slowly as a tortoise. More time was spent moving to and from his vehicle and residence than was spent working on the actual problem. And he didn't accomplish a thing. He did not clear the clogged drain.

I was baffled that my tenant accepted a bill for $270.00 with nothing accomplished. I called Fite Plumbing and spoke with Todd, twice. After Todd had checked with the ""experienced professional"" who had made the visit, he claimed they were not able to snake the line because the snake was prevented from moving downward because of an incorrectly installed ""San-Tee"" pipe (Sanitary pipe). He claimed this pipe (inside the wall) had been installed upside down. During our conversation, Todd made a point of saying he would not try to ""up-sell"" a job. I found it odd that he would use that term, ""up-sell."" I had never heard a plumber say that. It occurred to me that he wouldn't loosely utter such a term unless it was a part of his everyday business culture. I asked Todd how an experienced professional could charge two hours' worth of labor to figure out his plumber's snake wasn't going anywhere. He changed the subject. Todd suggested I have my Homeowners Association take responsibility for correcting the problem. He said they could run a camera into the plumbing to identify the bad pipe. He also said they would need to go into the walls from the outside to access the supposedly incorrectly installed pipe in order to replace it (which would cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars). He worked very hard at sounding professional and convincing me to contact my Homeowners Association, or instead pay him another $400 to $500 to try to access the clogged pipe from the roof of my three-story condominium complex. I felt I had no choice but to consult my condo association.

Anyone who has ever dealt with a Homeowner's Association fixing a problem knows it can be a nightmare. However, being as I am miles and miles away from my property and unable to do anything myself, I had no other choice but to put this in the Association's lap. I was concerned for my tenant having to deal with the clogged drain. Then after weeks of coaxing, my Homeowner's Association had their plumber take a look. It turns out that Fite Plumbing's story of a bad pipe was a complete fabrication.

My Homeowners Association plumber visited my condo and was able to clear the clogged drain in less than 30 minutes. Furthermore, he found no anomalies in the piping. There was nothing wrong with the pipes as Fite Plumbing had tried to convince me. The Association plumber had no problem whatsoever in running a snake down the line to clear it. Yes, Earl Fite & Sons Plumbing is guilty of the ""up-sell."" It's amazing, the wanton audacity to make such blatant false claims in order to collect $270.00 for doing nothing, with further hopes of procuring a bigger ticket ""job"" of replacing a fictitious problematic pipe that doesn't exist.

I will never do business with this company again. Be warned. All my time and effort with Fite & Son's Plumbing only led to another honest plumber doing the job in less than half the time. It turns out the clog was in a common line at the condo complex, easily reachable by a competent plumber. I strongly recommend against doing business with Earl Fite & Son's Plumbing.

I was very impressed with this company! My husband was laid up from major surgery and we had a clogged drain. We called our insurance company and they sent out a plumber that said the clog could not be cleared except by hydro jetting and that they could not come back for 2 days. So I thumbed through the yellow pages (yes, I still use them) and called Earl W. Fite and sons plumbing. I spoke with Todd and he suggested that they come out and check it out before they try hydro jetting.
Not only were they able to come out the same day I called, but Todd and Edgar were able to clear the black sludge clog in about 30 minutes. From start to finish the team was here for approximately 45 minutes and left my home just the way the found it (except for the fixed drain of course).
I also found their price to be very fair and comparable to the company I had the day before.
I am very happy with the job and professionalism this family owned company performed at our home. I would highly recommend this company and will be using this company again!

We had a major problem at our apartment building with the above ground sump pump that eliminates the laundry water from the building. Water had leaked all other the basement room. Mike showed up within 3 hours of me calling them. He saw that the sump pump handle was in the wrong position. He corrected it, and the sump pump began working. We had no idea what was wrong. He could have come in and sold us a new sump pump costing over $1000 with installation. Instead he just charged me $125 service call. Grateful for his honesty.

I called Earl Fite today about noon for help with a backed up toilet at an ill family member's home. It wasn't just backed up, I explained, but it was the most vomitous bug-infested fecal-filled neglected loo I'd ever seen. It really was that bad, and I was shocked when I discovered it, and I was embarrassed to call. No problem, the dispatcher on the line said. An hour and fifteen minutes later, a friendly-faced and experienced plumber met me at my family member's home, and he got to work. That saint of a man calmly and kindly unclogged the toilet and even went beyond the normal scope of work to remove the majority of the grossness that fouled up the bathroom. I was so grateful that I really would have paid about anything for his above-and-beyond service. Instead, I was charged a very reasonable fee, and I and my family member were treated with dignity and respect despite the distressing situation. I do not anticipate needing to call a plumber again about such an horribly poopy situation, but they will definitely be who I call for my own home plumbing needs.

Well after seeing all of the 5 stars I wonder. I called and explained my problem to the office(owner I think) and he told me they couldn't get to it for a while. He said he would call back the following Tuesday. Tuesday came no call so I called and they didn't seem to know about my previous call but said they could come out the following day. I was told there was a trip charge but didn't know what that amount was until I was billed. I agree with other posters that to charge a customer the top going rate while traveling to the job is not acceptable in todays environment The tech arrived and I went to the shower control value and explained my problem. He started the service call by saying he hadn't worked on these before but he would see what was going on. Very reassuring. The first step was to remove the operating handle which requires unscrewing a small allen screw, he told me he didn't have a tool to do that. Very reassuring again. I got him a tool and he proceeded only to tell me again he had never seen this set up. Very reassuring. Possibly requiring a large screwdriver to tighten a stop screw he again told me he didn't have that large screwdriver. I went and got one. Needing the water shut off he asked me to go shut off the water, who is the tech and who is the customer ? He removed the problematic control valve clean it and replaced it with NO DIFFERENCE than when he started. He had previously taken three or four photos that he said the owner would look at and define what type of valve it was. He told me they would send those photos to me and took my cell number. I called the shop and spoke with the owner who stated he would send the photos. That was four working days ago. Not having any reference for replacement I took the valve out and took photos and ordered the valve on line. This was a very, very expensive service call with no results, customer equipment and involvement from the beginning and no follow up by the office after the service call. I grew up in this town and knew the company from their reputation, I guess I was wrong. I feel the company should have worked with me and at least given me some restitution for the way the service call went. Ownership and employee both failed the customer with this service call.

Our laundry and kitchen sink backed up. Couldn't do dishes or laundry. Mike from Earl Fite was prompt, knowledgeable, courteous and quick. Within 30 minutes I'm doing laundry and dishes again and also received an explanation of what/how the backup occurs and how to prevent future backups. Thank you for being a solid, trustworthy, knowledgeable company I can trust. I highly recommend Earl Fite Plumbing.

Todd, Mike, and Eddie are the best plumbers in town! I had multiple major plumbing issues at my house and each time Todd sent someone out immediately to fix. I had a slab leak under my driveway, which required jack-hammering up the concrete. My water heater started leaking, Todd had it replaced the same day. The kitchen drain pipe was leaking in my garage wall, Todd came out and fixed it right away. I also had them replace 4 sinks throughout my house, great prices and profession installation. Would highly recommend for any plumbing job!
