George was amazing and was able to come to our house same morning. He was very knowledgeable and took care of our needs right away . We are glad to find someone who puts customers first and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend him and will definitely use him for all our HVAC needs.
I used Eagles HVAC through my home warranty company. George was quick to respond and was more than willing to work around my crazy Saturday schedule. He was polite and respectful. 5 star company for sure. Quick fix and the A/C was back up and running.
I highly recommend George Faltaos and Eagles HVAC. They were the 2nd HVAC company assigned by AHS (I requested and paid for a 2nd opinion from initial HVAC analysis after reading their yelp reviews) and I couldn't be more pleased. Great communication, arrived on time and found a fault that was correctable in 1 visit.
P A.We were assigned Eagles HVAC thru 2-10
George called up n scheduled the appointment and arrived early. He quickly diagnosed the issue and arranged for the replacement part thru 2-10.
The actual installation took a while as the part had be procured, but George called and scheduled it as soon as the part was available.
Quick and efficient service!
Adugna G.Stay away from this company. They are over priced and all they care about is getting the most money out of their customers rather than provide good service and be honest!
Danny O.George is pleasant, respectful, and knows his stuff! He has apparently been doing this a long time. Our furnace would not ignite. George came in (w/ booties!) got right to work and within 30 minutes, had a new heating element starter installed, cleaned a little bit of our old, dirty furnace, shook our hands and was gone!
(I CANNOT however, recommend AHS. AHS was going to send a VERY poorly Yelp rated service company until we complained and have been difficult to work with for years...)
Scott P.I was very pleased with Eagles HVAC Services. I was synced with them through my 2-10 Home Warranty. They were extremely friendly and came better than on time, they came early! George was able to provide maintenance of the HVAC unit quickly and kept me up to date on the diagnosis. I would highly recommend.
As a result of my 2-10 Home Warranty service call, George of Eagles HVAC Services came to repair my heater unit.
I was impresses with Eagles Services, George was punctual and also kept good communication before the service. George came, diagnosed the issue and replaced the heater control board. George is a real professional. Thank you George.
George was referred to me as a husband of my wife's co-worker. So I thought he must be ok as someone we know of. So I decided to give him a try. I signed an annual contract to maintain our 2 average size units. After he came out and serviced our systems, it ended up to be $1,000. The services were for the annual contract, basic cleaning, dusting, and draining the pipes. At the time, I thought maybe our systems are a few years old. So maybe the price is normal. I sucked it up and think he's ok.
Then 2 months later, one of units stopped working. I called him for a service. He came out and diagnosed the unit. Within a few minutes, he told me the problem was due a blown fuse. He then spent another 1/2 hour to an hour to run back and forth between the attic (upstair unit) and the outside unit, cleaned the battery, did some unnecessary work, and even showed me a piece of exposed wire he picked up somewhere. He even untied the wires (which are working fine) and tied them back and pretended he performed some major work. The whole time I was there with him, I knew he was BSing me. I felt really ripped off. Here are how much he charged me for a blown fuse:
Diagnosis: $150
Fuse: $25
Minor Electrical repair: $95 (really?)
Additional 30mins charge: $60
Total: $330
Do you know how much it costs for me to buy a fuse at home depot? $10
You can draw a conclusion yourself from the above and see if he's justified. He treats me like I am an idiot who does not know anything. He's BSing me and charging me for unnecessary work. Or he treats me like I am an old grandma (which I am not), who does not know anything, and I am just there to sign a check.
Not an honest person. Totally not recommended.
Scott P.TLDR: Fast but expensive. My total bill was ~$565, for an hour and a half of labor, 2 lbs of r22 freon, and a small amount of sealant. I found his exact canister of r22 freon online costing $425 for 30 lbs (~$14 / lb). That means I was charged $500+ in labor for what took an hour and a half. That's quite a lot.
I called, and George was near my location doing an install, and he was at my house a few hours later.
He charged me an initial fee of $99 to diagnose the issue, and it took him ~20 minutes to diagnose that I was low on freon.
He spent ~30 minutes walking me through the different options, which I appreciated. This was different from someone who I had come out a year ago, who only gave me the option of replacing the entire system:
1. Try to find the leak - quoted me a price ~$350+ with no guarantee he would actually find the leak. This would not include the cost of actually fixing the leak.
2. Refill the AC with Freon. Quoted me a price of ~$135 / per lb of freon needed, and he couldn't tell me how much freon I needed. He'd just have to start adding it until it was full. Optionally I could also have him add a sealant, that might stop the leak for $200.
3. Replace my entire system except my furnace. He quoted me something ~$5000. My system is an older R22 freon system, which parts won't be available
I ultimately chose option 2 with the sealant. While he was doing the refill, I looked up the cost, and it became very apparent just how much I was paying for his time. Part of the problem is, there is no regulation at all around the pricing. None of the HVAC repair companies have prices listed online for common things. I another hvac repair company and got a quote, and they would have charged me even more. I have no idea if his pricing was competitive, or a rip off. All I know is that it was expensive.
