I've gotten good service from Scheblein, but their prices have skyrocketed, so I can't use them anymore. I was charged $435 for a 45-minute call to attach a regulator to a generator. Service only, no parts. Let's put that in perspective. My daughter, who has a Master's Degree gets $125/hour for tutoring. Good attorneys get $450/hour. Psychologists with PhDs get $150-250/hour. And Scheblein gets $435/hour?

Used them in 2018 and they did a good job. Called last week because we had a small leak. Was told they ""might"" come the next day after 3. Never came. Called and was told possibly the next day but couldn't guarantee. I told them I wanted a firm appointment. Was told Saturday between 10-12. No show. I called the emergency number at 12:30 and was told someone would call me back. Never heard back from anyone.

I wrote an earlier review over a year ago but didn't even know the problem he did not address when he was doing work here could have been solved. My washer would back up into the laundry sink and they never checked to see why, never snaked out the line, simply told me there was no vent. I lived with it for the past three years because I trusted what I was told. He never fixed the problem in 2017. He said the washer was not vented and he installed something on the drain pipe of the sink too try to help but I lived for three years with water backing up at least four or five inches into the sink whenever I did laundry. I don't consider that success. Now, after three years, having wound up with water backing up further and actually overflowing from the sink onto the counters and floor, I called in another plumber since I had long ago given up on trying to get Eric here- I never got a response when I called for a job I needed looked at - who said there was definitely a clogged line and probably there always had been. He opened up the wall and cleaned everything out, and guess what? I DO have a vent, and also had a major blockage. He actually diagnosed the problem almost the minute he walked in here. Eric and his guys never solved the problem or even looked for it by snaking out the line and looking to see why the water was backing up. I could have had this problem solved three years ago if his guys knew what they were doing. Very disappointing. I have not used Eric for a couple of years because he became unreliable, but now I am grateful I couldn't get him here. I no longer have even a few drops of water backing up into the sink and this should have been the case years ago. I should never have trusted him and called someone else in three years ago. This new plumber said there was never any excuse for water backing up into the sink, that it never should have happened. It happened because Scheblein didn't have a clue on solving this plumbing problem.

Eric converted our oil heat to gas at least 10 years ago. He and his crew were efficient, on time and super neat and clean. Now and then we've had a couple of times when the burner wouldn't kick on and Scheblein Plumbing showed up on time and fixed the problem in a jiffy for a reasonable cost. Last night, we tried to put on the heat for the first time this Fall and nothing. I called Eric on his emergency number, said it could wait until morning, as it wasn't all that cold. He showed up at 8:00 AM on the dot and fixed the problem in 15 minutes. It's wonderful to have such a reliable plumber right in town who I can always count on.

I have to give Eric and his team a lot of credit. Our 3-month-old house had a major sewer issue, Scheblein courteously addressed the situation and hired a top-notch crew to remediate the problem. Eric is a master plumber, among other things, he will do whatever it takes to ensure the job is done right. We witnessed an exceptional level of care and detail in every aspect of our job. From shoveling a trench to advising the crew on how best to pour filler material into the hole our sewer problem created -- Eric had a hand in everything and we are beyond thankful for his skill and attention to his craft. Eric is the guy who does the work, makes it brilliant, and finishes the job the right way. His team back at the office gives you peace of mind and a family oriented level of customer service. Oil to gas conversion
The team is excellent. That includes Megan in the office to Ian and the guys who do the work. Eric has established high standards for his team. They are neat, respectful and professional. I would highly recommend them for any job within their scope of work.

Used this plumber for a oil to gas conversion. They were excellent! Eric came to give us a price and answered all of our questions. Once we were ready to move forward, we gave the office a call and didn't have to do much after that! They filed all of the necessary paperwork with the town and with National grid. The office was always on top of things, emailing us updates as to when National Grid would possibly be in the area to run the gas line from the street to the house. Once that was done, Scheblein was here within a week. The day of the conversion, they were here nice and early and did a fantastic job. They were neat and clean, took out the old oil tank from the basement without so much as a drop of oil spilled on the ground. Made sure to cover any floors with a cloth, etc. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a conversion or just general plumbing work. They can do it all. So glad that we found a decent, honest, plumber that works with the customer!
