Coggin does business in a way that I'm completely unfamiliar with though the two times a plumber's been here the work has been just fine. First time the cost was reasonable and I paid happily. The second time, yesterday, the same plumber quoted a really high price (based upon my research). I figured it was because he anticipated complications. I gave the OK. There were no complications and he even said the cast iron I have is better than the new stuff and that the floor was even (I had a new toilet installed) so no problem there. I asked him for an itemized invoice. They don't do that. I spoke to a manager in the office asking for more information about why the price was surprisingly high and the best I could get was """"you agreed to it"""". She did offer to give me $50 back and I accepted but what a nice surprise it would have been if the plumber had said upon finishing, """"easier than I anticipated; let's knock a few bucks off of that initial estimate"""". Coggin gets stellar reviews so not sure mine counts for much but now that I've experienced this new-to-me business strategy I'll be much more careful in the future.

I was extremely disappointed in the estimate I received, for one, I was not given the estimate at my residence, it was recommended by the technician to use Eric the Gas Man as well, which I thought was odd, as he told me they were expensive. I already had an estimate from ETGM, so I knew what i was up against. I was told it would be submitted to the owner and then would be sent to me via email. That didn't happen, so I contacted the company, and after a few hours, I received an estimate to install less than 50' of gas line for $4200.00. Quite the upset as ETGM's estimate was a quarter of that. It basically told me they didn't want the work. Eric the Gas Man was very professional and did an excellent job.

This is a """"shout out"""" to Jack and the """"Tattoo Crew"""" at E K Coggin. My water heater failed last Sunday morning. I left a message with E K Coggin and a technician returned my call within minutes. I explained the issue and scheduled the earliest available appointment for Tuesday. The technicians arrived fifteen minutes early wearing masks. They were professional and knowledgeable and completed the installation of the water heaters in a timely and efficient manner. And when we discovered a leak in the area after the work was done; the same team quickly returned and corrected the problem. We are extremely happy with the service, and the product. I highly recommend E K Coggin.

Prompt service and great folks to work with. RJ figured out my problems quickly and he and his helper fixed what problems they had parts on the truck for. Came back the next day with the needed parts. Fixed the remaining problem and it looks and works great! Will use them again when needed.

We had a water heater leak on our newer (2015) home and called the plumbing company that installed it. They said our unit is out of warranty and they only do warranty service and suggested we call another plumbing company. My wife found a company that was highly rated in Google, Yelp, etc., near our home - EK Coggin Plumbing. Roger from the company stopped by the same day my wife called and diagnosed the problem as internal rust and lorn behold the WH fully covered under parts warranty for 2 more weeks (mid January 2023, manufactured date of February 2015)!!! They save us the price of a Rheem 75gallon WH ($2k) and performed the service in an utmost professional manner! We highly recommend EK Coggin Plumbing, especially Roger their field tech! Our water heater went out in the wee hours of the morning on Mother's Day/Monday. I called E. K. Coggin as soon as it was discovered and scheduled an appointment for a replacement. The office staff was very helpful and I received a call back from Curtis (technician) within minutes. Curtis did an amazing job replacing the water heater, the workmanship is second to none. Always friendly, professional, and neat. This is the second time we've had E K Coggin out (the other was for a main water valve) and this is the ONLY plumber we will ever use. I'm going to photo copy their card and hand it out to everyone we work with. Simply the best in Brevard!
