I have used his services on three separate occasions for both plumbing and heating. He guarantees his work and he follows up. I have shopped around to get estimates and I seem to always circle back to Ely!

We live in a Coop which was renovated 20+ years ago. During the last several years, we have had multiple plumbing issues: replace leaking faucets, blocked drains, poor workmanship by coop hired plumber. (While replacing drains in the kitchen sink, the coop hired plumber did not tighten the connections)

In all of these occasions, we have called on Ely to fix the issue. He made timely visits and completed the work correctly. When replacing the faucets, he showed us several websites to research to find the style we wanted. Once we received the faucets from the website, Ely was able to come and install the next day.

Eli is a horror story. he gave me a price and then after complaining about the job increased it to $725. he left w/o completing job and refused to return. (i paid in full before he completed job. ) very unprofessional i didn't get a receipt. after several calls from super n me, he returned 5days later. don't use this clown safe yourself stress n money!

0 stars if I could. We agreed on a price. I asked for a contract to be drafted to protect both parties he refused without me first sending a 70% deposit. First of all who requires that high of a deposit and secondly who sends money to a random person with no contract involved. Guy is clearly a thief and I wouldn't trust him. Would not even provide license and insurance to the city which is required for a work permit. Bad business.

E-Jay plumbing was serviced me in a time of need. I was attempting to DIY a tub spout and came across an issue. They responded to my call within in minutes and arrived when they said they would. My issue was fixed and he also checked the whole tub/shower unit to make sure all the components were properly working. Would highly recommend to anybody seeking any plumbing issues.

I wish I could give him a 0 but the site don't let me I gave him 2,000 for a Job and he never started the job try to talk to him like a man and never got back to me . He never answer my calls but I ask my sister to call him for a job and she called and he responded without knowing that it was me I called him 5 minutes later and my calls were not answer. Next step is legal action don't even think about hiring this guy.

On Saturday August 22, 2020, I had a major leak/flood in my co-op apartment which damaged the walls and ceilings of three other units in my direct line. On Monday August 24, 2020, I hired plumber, Ely Alpaca, of E-Jay Plumbing, License #1469, to replace the plastic ""water filter"" pipe underneath my kitchen sink which caused the leak. I also requested that he snake the bathroom tub drain. He charged me $350 for the filter pipe and $175 for snaking the tub for a total of $525.

I thought the tub drain charge was exorbitant. It took his employee all of five minutes to do and I let him know. He said that his policy was to charge two service charges for two jobs even though they were performed during the same visit. I told him that no other plumber I'd used had ever charged me two service charges for one visit. Nevertheless, I immediately paid the bill in cash after the job was completed on Monday August 24, 2020.

Mr. Alpaca agreed to email me a receipt/repair invoice on the same day of service (August 24th, 2020) so that I could supply my insurance company with proof of payment. To this date, he has failed to do so.

On Friday September 11th, I finally asked my superintendent to intercede. Since my super recommended him to me, I thought maybe he might have some influence. The only thing I received from Ely Alpaca, as a result of my superintendent's intercession, was a nasty email requesting that I stop calling my superintendent, that I needed to be patient, that he (Ely) wasn't going anywhere and that he would get it to me. He also let me know that he had had several emergencies all night long.

It has been three weeks since the repair of my filter and he is asking me to be patient with regard to the provision of a simple receipt (which anyone could email in five minutes, but which this company hasn't the technological capacity to do). He has continuously failed to keep his word regarding the date by which he will send it. Ely Alpaca does not care about the needs of his customers, especially after he has been paid. At this point, E-Jay Plumbing has held up the insurance payments and repairs for four apartments for almost a month.

I have reported his unprofessional behavior to my insurance company and requested that they deal with him directly as I want nothing else to do with him. I will also report his unprofessional and unethical behavior in withholding my receipt for payment and also price gouging, in my opinion, as a formal complaint to his licensing agency. This company is egregiously inconsiderate of its customers. I highly recommend that you steer clear of this provider.

We had a backed up shower and toilet on our lower level. After three days of Roto Rooter technicians and a septic pumping, we were still in the same place, no plumbing. I got on Angie's List and was recommended Drain Away Sewer who called me not a minute after I signed on to Angie's List. Rich gave me Ely's phone number and the next day he came over and gave me an estimate. Ely's guys did a great job locating the trap and repairing and replacing the pipe. They were sensitive to the landscaping and filled the hole they dug when they were finished. They cleaned the bathroom toilet and shower which I wasn't expecting. They were nice guys and we can finally use our plumbing again. The price was even lower than we expected which we were thankful for. Thanks guys, we appreciate the hard work.

We just bought an older house, so I've called E-Jay's company 3 different times in 2 months. Ely is great about scheduling and communication!

First time, Ely/Jesse came out and reconfigured pipes for our brand new sink. Super quick, and super clean job on an early Saturday morning.

JP has been to our house 2x now: 1st for a dishwasher valve replacement and 2nd for installing our brand new dishwasher out of the box. I can't say enough good things about JP - he did a beautiful job and made every effort to not damage our cabinets and white countertops in the process. He even took the extra 5 mins to answer any questions or concerns I had, which I really appreciated! JP works in your house and treats it like his own.
