I don't know where these negative reviews are coming from. Plumbing is expensive and you pay for what you get. I had all kinds of issues due to the County changing some meter outside my house. """"Rooster"""" came to my house, I told him all my concerns, we discussed an upgrade to my water heater as an additional thing I wanted done on top of the things I needed done. He gave me a quote, I had 2 other companies quote the same repairs, but chose The Original Plumber mainly because of Rooster. The quote was not the lowest but was not the highest either, but Rooster explained things, answered all my questions, gave me options and did not speak to me like a dumb lady!!! He came back the next day and went way above and beyond to get me back up and running!! He was very polite, didn't mind when I was being nosey and wanted to see what was going on. My water is now flowing even better than it was before, all issues were fixed and I would definitely use them again JUST BECAUSE OF THE PROFESIONALISM they demonstrated, everything else was a bonus.

Donny was reliable, fast and very professional. He did a great job fixing my new toilet after a flooring company's reinstall left it completely broken. Highly recommend this company and Donny C.

This company is a high priced, high presure, price gougers. I had them give me an estimate for minor rough in plumbing for my basement. Out of four plumbing contractors they came in astronomically higher, double the price of the others. After three calls from three different employees asking me if im ready to move forward with the project, i told all 3 callers that there price was extremely higher than the others for the same work. They asked for a second look and after speaking with the estimator, i told him the huge discrepancy in pricing and he asked if i could give him another chance to lower pricing. Second estimate wasnt much different, descriptions and dollar amounts where moved around a bit, but still crazy high! Do your part and get multiple estimates and see for yourself. I wouldn't recommend using this sub, unless you enjoy paying higher than needed prices.

$189 charged to come out and tell us we needed $4999 in electrical work done on our septic pump, probably because they knew I was out of town on a cruise and """"had no choice"""". Tried to scare saying our house could possibly burn down even though pump is outside in a metal lined hole...but they clearly weren't worried since they left it running with kids in house until they could come back 3 days later. Had an electrician come today: $219 to fix a few wire connectors when original plumber wanted to replace the whole electrical box and breaker box. And """"possibly a new pump"""" for an additional $3000 on top of the $4999. Also, since I was on a cruise, my home insurance agent tried to call and help me out with the situation but they told him """"we don't talk to insurance people, ever, for any reason"""" -seems legit

Terrible in more ways than one. I have been in Real Estate since 1982 & have dealt with many different contractors & The Original Plumber that came to one of my properties in Ball Ground was the worse & the most expensive of all. I paid $3,000. for nothing. The would not go back out to clean the septic lines even temporally knowing I have a tenant that couldn't use the toilet.

We just bought a new home with a grill gas line fully stubbed on the deck. We called three plumbers for quotes to connect the grill's supply line to the stub on the deck. They were a no-show for an appointment to give us an estimate. A week later when they finally managed to come to our home, they gave us a quote of $510.30! The next highest quote from a licensed plumber was only $165. This is a very simple 10-minute job that should only require a trip charge. To say the least, we won't ever call The Original Plumber again. When you're getting estimates, save yourself the time and call someone else.

No good, wasted my time completely. The crew they sent couldn't be bothered to unload and drive up the driveway. All I wanted was the tank pumped. Not professional at all. They tried to sell me other services though! Don't waste your time with this company out of Ballground.

Just be careful with Septic issues. Septic problems are typically unexpected and place the homeowner in a vulnerable position to get the first contractor available. My issue was not with the work performed, but rather the way they manage the charges. They dig up your yard and do 90% of the work, then they quickly review the charges on an Ipad where they scroll to the bottom as quickly as possible to focus on the bottom line. They charged me $1,300 for 2 24"""" septic risers. These are $150-175 parts and the holes were already dug to access the tank. So $650 each for risers seemed a bit unreasonable. No printed invoice at the time of payment, so it's not until you finally receive an emailed invoice that you are able to see how badly they gouged you. I reached out to the manager who responded pretty quickly, but then ghosted me when I showed him how much they charged me for the risers. I take responsibility for not questioning the charges more thoroughly at the time of service, but hopefully this post will help others in the same situation so you are not taken advantage of like I was. Seemed like good guys, but definitely will price gouge you if given the opportunity. Be careful!

I've had three separate interactions with Original. One was a for a septic issue which they were incredibly prompt, courteous and professional about. One was to replace a water heater with a tankless which was as painless as it gets. The most recent was for some leaky valves. Devin was the most recent plumber to come out and he went so far as to CLEAN THE TOILETS for us after changing a valve! Who does that!? He was amazing. I'm just so floored that that level of care and courtesy exists today. I can't recommend this company enough.

I have to say I'm very disappointed. When I set up the appointment I asked the person on the phone if the coupon that they were offering online for septic cleaning was still valid and she said yes. When the plumbers arrived I was not home so they spoke with my husband and quoted him a price that was $300 dollars higher. After he told them what I told him the price would be one of the plumbers went and called the office and came back and told him the price that I originally said ($149). The other plumber that had stayed behind with my husband asks, """"You mean $250""""? At that point, my husband realized he was being fleeced and told him we would go with someone else if they weren't going to honor the price and they agreed on $149. During the process, they did no inspection but tried to say that we needed a new lid for $1,400. My husband declined that sale and they commenced pumping the tank. They had been called out because waste was backing up from the clean-out. They never inspected it or the line. The next day I checked the cleanout to be sure there was no backup and low and behold there was. I called them back and they said they could send someone out the next day (yesterday). Another plumber comes out and STILL doesn't look in the clean-out. He says, """"We can't even get close enough to look in there"""". What!? You work on septic systems and can't step in sewage? So without an inspection, he quotes me two prices. One to do some type of jetting the line, and one to do some other procedure. I'm looking at $489 for that and $1,500 for jetting. I had the line jetted a few years ago by another company and it was less than $400. Fast forward to today. I had another company come out who I will be giving a glowing review when the job is finished that was like night and day. They put a camera in the line to find out exactly what the problem is. It turns out the line was warped and faulty and wasn't connecting the way it was supposed to. So the line is being replaced for not much more than The Original Plumber was going to charge me to jet the line that didn't even have a blockage as it turns out! And on top of that, they opened the lid and there is more solid waste in there than could have accumulated in three days since it was pumped. I would never utilize their services again. Edit: I have called 3 times to speak with a manager to try to give them the opportunity to make it right. Each time the person that answered the phone did not ask me my name, or why I was calling. They asked if the number I was calling from was a good number and said that a manager would call me back. Horrible business.
