I had a leaky water heater & had planned on having it replaced by a business I used previously. At the recommendation of several friends, I contacted E & D. The receptionist took my contact details. Within two hours, owner Dan returned my call, stating that he could come assess the situation by early afternoon. Shortly before he was to arrive, the receptionist contacted me, letting me know that Dan would be unavailable. Asking if, as an alternative, if she could send his nephews, Daniel & Sam, to which my permission was given. I received a call from Sam, at my request, informing me of the fact that they were on their way & shortly thereafter they arrived at my residence. Upon their arrival, they assessed the situation, to determine water heater was not repairable & needed replacement. I was told that they could schedule it for the following day. Sam asked me if I had towels he could use to clean up the water leak on the floor by the water heater. I told him where he could find what he needed. When he returned from the basement, I asked him if he was able to clean up the leak & he said they would be the ones installing the new water heater, & that they were available, so they would install it while they were here. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered same day service. I assumed that they would have to schedule the instillation. While Sam left to retrieve the new water heater, Daniel disassembled the old one. Upon Sam's return, the new water heater was installed in an hour. Even with the five percent discount I was quoted from the other business I had previously considered, E& D offered a less costly price. Which actually included the cost of the new water heater, two updated valves, instillation, labor, & disposal of the old one. To their credit, E & D didn't charge for a service call to assess the situation. Where the other business I considered charges $99 to come out even if they don't do a repair. I found the fact that E & D were so accommodating to resolve the issue with the same day service, as proof of their outstanding business practices. Regarding quality service at a reasonable price, I would highly recommend them.

There is no water works company better than E&D Water Works. They love their job and it shows. Dan & Pete are so professional. We have used them for years and wouldn't think of using anyone else. One of my favorite stories is when Dan was working on the water heater in our guest house. We went out to dinner and didn't get back until 9:00 p.m.. Dan was still there because our alarm had gone off and he was worried that the fire department would come and let out our dogs and cats. Dan still had to drive to Janesville from our house in Lake Geneva and then go to Madison on another job. As I said, there is no better company than E&D Water Works.

Fabulous! We had a leak in a pipe that went into the concrete floor. Dan came out promptly. He worked with the city to turn off the water. Fixed the leak and fixed our water softener. He was professional, efficient and friendly. The charge for all this was very reasonable. And, he didn't leave a mess as other plumbers have. We will absolutely continue to use E & D.

My water heater had ""burst"" and was leaking Al over my basement. I called right away in the morning after discovering the issue and Pete from E&D came right away to look at it. Talked me through options for a new heater and gave me a very reasonable quote. The installers weren't able to come until the following day but they were friendly, thorough, provided education to me and were speedy. They removed my old heater and installed the new one within an hour. I couldn't have asked for better, quality service. Highly recommend them!

Very unhappy with service. Made several calls to repair a leaking water softener. Made one service call to replace some parts, but leaking was not fixed. Four calls later, with appointments made each time and four no-shows, we called another service and had water softener replaced in 24 hours.

E&D installed our Culligan reverse osmosis system but when I called to schedule the annual routine service, it took three calls before they responded and I got an appointment scheduled. Then I take the afternoon off of work and the guy (Dan) is a no show and doesn't even have the courtesy to call. Two weeks later, I've heard nothing. I went with Culligan Water Conditioning of Delevan instead and they were professional, courteous, and prompt. I will never use E&D again.

Best in the Business! They have served our Family for many years. From purchase, installation, and maintenance of water heater and water softener to delivering 80 lb bags of salt, they are incredibly reliable and better, people who actually care about their customers! We wouldn't use anyone else!

Great service and great technical know-how and friendly advice from Dan, who is very knowledgeable and patient and accommodating. We had a problem with a brand new Rheem water heater and thanks to Dan and Home Depot, we are back in business within a week. The first Rheem-contracted plumber (Design Temperature Corporation of Chicago) that the morons at Rheem ""technical support"" ((that's another story and review) sent stood us up and the man from Design Temperature (Joe) that set up the appointment treated me like I was an idiot. And they had the gall to call me the next day to ""reschedule."" Thankfully, I found E & D Water Works. What a difference! Real people who really care and who do good work...a dying breed sad to say, but a gem to find and recommend. Dan of E & D was so good that we hired him on the spot for other work and will continue to do so and will recommend them to everyone we know. Sorry, Rockford and Chicago....you gotta call Janesville for a great plumber and service! Thanks Dan for making a bad situation much better. We'd give you 6 plus stars if we could!
