Nothing more than a common thief! If there were a way to rate him less I would. He came to service our heating unit by way of HWC. Tries to charm you with courtesy and pleasantries. Again, he's nothing more than a common thief. He ""diagnosed"" the problem, took the service fee, then told the HWC that we missed our appointment. When I reported this to the warranty company. they mentioned that he'd done this on other occasions (makes me wonder why they're still using him, but that's an issue I'll take up with them). I called and left a voicemail message for him to send my check back since I allegedly missed my appointment, but I doubt that'll happen: thieves don't usually return what they steal.
Mike just called back (while I was in process of posting this review) saying he wanted to make this right and he just needed my last name so he could find my file and ""make things right."" I had to be the only customer he has in our small town which is about an hour from where ""he said"" he was from---certainly not hard to remember if he wanted to (not sure why Yelp is showing me to be in San Fran). He was laying the charm on pretty thick. Remember the old saying, ""Fool me once...."" Yeah, well not today, Dynomike. My suggestions: Save yourself the aggravation...don't fall for his con.
Customer beware. We used him thru our warranty company last year due to an on going issue with our ac not working. After have 4 other claims for this issue I thought Mike had finally figured out the problem. Got us a new outdoor compressor, awesome! Nope, unfortunately after all that, that was NOT the issue. Our coils are leaking in our ac air handler. He is just a scammer. Will never use him again!
Was assigned Dynomike through our home warranty company after our furnace would not turn on friday afternoon. I called several times friday, saturday, sunday and monday and not a single call was returned. Thankfully the warranty company assigned me a different contractor that actually called me back! I instructed the company to add Dynomike to thier blacklist. Glad I was not forced to deal with this fool!
It is sad to see there are a few negative reviews posted on Dynomike Solutions. I assume there ""might"" be a consistency issue Dynomike has to work on going forward.
Our experience was NOT like the negative ones posted.
We had an old Lennox AC system (1976) which worked but leaked like a sieve. Couple years ago, we had to have a capacitor replaced which blew. Annually, had to refill the refrigerant; last year our Homeowner's Warranty Co. (HWC) requested a Service Provider (SP) to ""attempt"" to stop the leakage by adding ""Stop Leak"" to the A/C system.
We had another puff of smoke upon turning the A/C near the beginning of this year's summer season (2019). Put in a claim w/ HWC & were assigned Dynomike Solutions for the 1st time.
Prior to starting, went over the history of the unit w/ Mike. Made him aware we had a capacitor blow 2 years ago & had ""Stop Leak"" added to the system. Mike listened very well. Based on my input, he setup an efficient & logical plan to address if the system was worthy of continuing on the same ""quick fix"" past or provide a long term solution.
Mike quickly identified the smoke was caused by the other capacitor & confirmed there was no refrigerant left.
Mike agreed based on the history & current unit state, there was adequate cause to justify replacement of the entire A/C condenser & indoor coil. He looked at the capacity specs and sized a new potential system. He quickly called the HWC that same morning, 6/19. Mike presented a good case & by the end of the same day, the HWC agreed & picked a new Lennox (3 times more efficient than the original). In our case, we were simply faced w/ minor line set modification & permit fees which were affordable to us & spelled out ahead of time. It was a relief to not be hit w/ paying for an entire job ourselves which we would have had to finance over time.
Dynomike picked up the new system 6/24 as agreed & installation completed the same day within about 4 hours. I watched as the new system was leak tested per manufacturer specs for 30+ minutes. The work was done neatly, & original parts were removed by Dynomike. Mike filled in & signed off on his portion of the Permit package which I dropped off at our nearby township office. Plumbing & Electrical inspection all passed soon afterwards.
We are so thankful to have a brand new Lennox Air Conditioning system which cools so much more efficiently than our old unit and only being subject to fees that were affordable to us to simply pay in full. It is awesome we got this installed before vacation time and before our area got hit with a heat wave!
Great job overall Dynomike!
He is not worth a star. I got stuck with him from my home warranty company. He came out on a Friday didn't even check anything and asked for the 100 deductible the checked the central air said he had to order a part and that he would be back either Monday or Tuesday. Those days came no Mike. I also put numerous calls to Mike and either it went to voicemail or his voice mailbox was full, I could imagine how many people where trying to get a hold of him. Called the warranty again they said he would be there on Thursday again no Mike. Called the warranty again was told they spoke to him and he would be there on Saturday. I had to go out and buy 3 air conditioners because if the heat. Well Saturday came and still no Mike. Will this guy is a scam artist and a big bullshitter. I wouldnt recommend this guy if he was the last HVAC around he needs to loose his HVAC license and I am the person who is going to make him loose his license. I also put numerous calls to Mike and either it went to voicemail or his voice mailbox was full, I could imagine how many people where trying to get a hold of him.
Stay far away from Dynomike. If I could give this schlep negative stars I would. We were assigned Dynomike through our home warranty company. After several attempts to schedule him, he showed up, first asked for and insisted on his $100 fee, took a look at our furnace, made a diagnosis in 5 minutes, said he needed to order a part and would be in touch. Well, like the other poster, never heard from him. My husband and I both had to track him down via phone and text. Then he said he didn't remember our furnace issue, doubted he was ever at our house, asked me to send him pictures to jog his memory of the furnace (he took his own pictures when he was here). Said he had some life stuff going on and would get the part ordered and would be in touch. Well guess what? We reported him to the warranty company. He never ordered the part or did a report for him. He lied and had been playing us the whole time. Never to be heard of again. Oh, and you better believe he cashed our check! Next step is to file a complaint with BBB. Horrible. Stay away. He is a scam artist.
Mike replaced our furnace as a provider for Sears Home warranty. He made the diagnostic that our furnace had to be replaced and we ended up getting a better one. I've dealt with many contractors because we have an old house. I appreciated that he took his time to explain what had to be done. He was courteous, interested in his job and not annoyed by questions as it happens so often. I appreciated even more that he called me the day after or so to check that everything was working fine. Very unusual! He was flexible with the permit (I wanted to handle it myself) and he even explained what I had to do. The previous contractor had been furious that I wanted a permit and wanted to charge me $500 for handing it!! (Mike tariff would have been much more reasonable, in line with other contractors' fees). The inspection went fine. The only weakness is that after our initial contact, he didn't answer calls until he was ready to work on my project but once he was at it, he was 100%.
Philip C.On December 20, 2017 I placed a service call into American Home Shield regarding a leak in my home's boiler. The call was directed to Dynomike Solutions. After three days a service tech (I guess it was Mike) showed up . Took a look at the boiler identified three parts which need replacement. Today is the 28th of December, unfortunately, neither he nor anyone else from Dynomike Solutions has ever returned and that is after several call backs to Dynomike and American Home Shield. He hasn't even returned their calls.
Mike was referred to us by our home warranty company when we placed a claim for our central air unit which was not functioning properly. Mike called us within hours after filing the claim, and was able to come out the same day. My husband met him at the house, and within 20 minutes, and a very inexpensive part later, the a/c unit is functioning properly again. He was honest, reliable, and very easy to work with. Thanks, Mike!!
