Ron continued at Roto-Rooter until 1999 when he founded Dymek's Freedom Plumbing and Drain Cleaning. Currently, we employ 9 plumbers and 15 staff, providing services across Los Angeles County, Orange County, and parts of Riverside County.

Is it weird to say I love these guys? Haha. We were in a pickle (aka our hot water heater wasn't hot watering).

We bought our home about a year ago - and found their sticker on a couple things.

From the moment I called, the service was amazing. When they arrived, they were prompt, efficient, and super helpful. Highly recommend this team!

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I recently had Dymek's Freedom Plumbing install my gas stove and was not happy with their work. First, a little background. I've had two previous jobs completed with no problems. They did a good job, for the most part, and everything worked out. Hence the reasons why I called them for a third time to install my gas stove. However, the third job couldn't have been any more different. There are two parts to this experience, the work and the customer service. I'll go over both.

First, the work. There are four concerns about their work: plugging stove into a power strip, using a ""bubble test"" technique to check for leaks, incorrect installation of cable to stove adapter, and failing to turn on stove to test if working properly. First, instead of plugging the stove directly to a reachable nearby outlet, yes it was reachable, they instead used a power strip. Besides being common knowledge, the manual specifically states, under ""warnings"", to plug directly into an outlet for safety precaution. Second, instead of purchasing a legitimate gas meter that the gas company uses, they decided to cheap out and use a""bubble test"" technique instead. Well apparently, the bubble test didn't work because gas was leaking (please see photo of gas receipt, same day stove was installed). This leads to the third issue of cable not being properly installed. I paid for the experience of a license plumbing company, but instead the gas company had to come and finish the job properly; I'm not sure what I paid for. Lastly, never turned on the stove to see if everything was working properly. Nothing to mention here, this should be obvious.

Finally, the customer service. Oh the customer service. I called numerous times to attempt to resolve the situation and finally requested to speak to the owner (I had to call them, they never called me). When I spoke to the owner, he had zero empathy for our situation. In fact, he let it be known several times during the conversation he was going on vacation and will have to ""investigate"" when he returned the 12th of July. He made me feel like I was inconveniencing him and never apologized once for the work that was done. He even admitted the job sounded ""sloppy"". So I waited for him to get back and on the 12th day of July, no phone call. I waited another week for him or his company to call me back but no phone call; I gave them an ample amount of time to figure this out. I finally decided to call them back one last time, and was told they'd get back to me. To this day, no phone call nor email.

Conclusion:
Given the situation, the concerns, and their customer service, I can no longer use their services nor recommend them to anyone; I don't see how anyone could. A gas leak is a big concern and safety hazard and they put my family at risk.

I will cut my loses and move on.

Update: Ron was true to his word and sent me a check for a refund. Thank you.

I needed to replace my water heater because it was leaking. Dymek's Freedom Plumbing loaned me a water heater until the repair work was done. Informed me about choices between tankless and regular water heaters and water softeners and answered my questions. It was easy to schedule a work date. The workers did a great job and were done in a timely manner. I highly and wholehearted recommend Dymek's Freedom Plumbing.

We needed a new water heater (after 18 years!). Dymek's did a great job. Put a new one in, explained all the features (so much has changed in 18 years). Chris followed up the next day to insure everything was working properly. Great service from Dymek's again. I've used them at least 20 times over the years. I've never been disappointed.

nitially worked with Dymek when we had some clogged pipes cause flooding in our attic a few years ago. That technician was fantastic - they were prompt and seemed knowledgeable. Cleared the blockage quickly, and were tidy. Offered some free advice on other plumbing issues. The next time we needed a plumber, for replacement of rusted washing machine spigots, of course we contacted Dymek. That plumber, Jimmy, was less than great. He was condescending, and brusque. He made a mess in my entry way and his work area. I did not receive a written estimate prior to his completing the task. He quoted and charged me for 3 hours of work when he finished his task in 30 minutes. I tried once more, when our tankless water heater started leaking. Because it was still under warranty, we were able to have the parts replaced for free but needed to take the parts to the manufacturer's local office about 30 minutes away. We were not in a rush, and so tried to work with the scheduling office to arrange an appointment such that we could have the heater disassembled to retrieve the parts and then reassembled with the new parts on the same day.
Not only were they unwilling or unable to accommodate us, the disassembly took place first thing in the morning of one day, and the technician did not return to reassemble our water heater until end of business the next day. Needless to say, not having hot water for 2 days was certainly inconvenient. And in addition to the labor charge for the work done, I was charged 2 days' base fee of having to come out to finish the task.
The work is fine. The customer interactions and nickel-and-diming could be improved. It certainly does not garner trust so I will not be returning as a customer again.
