Definitely a pink tax associated with the work done. Will not use their services again. They wanted to charge me $355 each to replace 3 thermostats. Ridiculous. Utilized Utube to do the service myself. Ended up costing me $75.

We contacted Dye on a Friday after a plumber from our select home warranty came out. They said they needed to order parts and never called. The plumbers from Dye we're heading back from a job. They were here in about 10 minutes from my initial call. Very impressive. The guys were very easy to work with. We appreciated they checked the problem and explained what the problem was. We made an appointment for them to replace the toilet. They were here today. Did a great job. Very professional. My husband had a question about the hot water tank. They went down stairs and checked it. I think the price was reasonable. I read a review that said they were very expensive. I was expecting to pay more. Very impressive service for a reasonable price. Thank you

I don't like writing reviews, but in this case I need to warn others. First the guys that come to do the work are great. Nice guys.
But then the quote was given-and then they found other things wrong, little things and the price kept going up (alot) for little things. One of the original problems was a 1.5 year old faucet with no water pressure (you would think that would be the first thing they would check, but no it was the last and they tell us we needed a new one. They had 30 minutes left on their original estimate of time, but they could not stay while my husband ran out to get a new one faucet and has to rescheduled because it would take them an at least an hour to put in a faucet? They want 300.00 to install a bathroom faucet? And they left the bad one installed so we cannot even call Delta and try to get a refund because I am sure they are going to want a picture of it and see that is can't be fixed.

We had a plumber come to install our new washer and dryer, and replace the spigots. I went to wash my first load of laundry, and they attached the hot water to the cold water inlet, meaning the clothes that I just washed, that HAVE to be washed in COLD WATER were washed and then rinsed in scalding hot water. I know that people make mistakes, but I just paid almost $600 to have some of my clothes ruined. I'm calling another plumber to fix it, ones that understand red means it's for hot water, and blue means it's for cold.
And the price for their labor was ridiculous. Go with someone else.

Based on price ... If you know of any other options, I'd start with them first.

When you make your initial appointment through DYE, the people answering phones aren't allowed to give you any rough idea of pricing. So just to have someone come out to provide a quote, it's gonna set you back $75. Then, they send out two people for every call, even if it's a single person job. Because if this, they charge you double the man hours on labor. They've done this to me twice (so shame on me), though I didn't know until after the job started, when I watch one just stand around and learn from the other, and hands tools from a nearby toolbox. They now give ""flat fee"" quotes, so the techs say they can't provide you with a breakdown of parts and labor.

I will say that repair techs have always been very nice and professional, and they do a very good job. But as an overall company, DYE will ""way overcharge"" you on price, so if you don't want to overpay for work, I'd go somewhere else. The problem is ... who else in the area can you go to?

I don't like writing reviews, but in this case I need to warn others. First the guys that come to do the work are great. Nice guys. I will attempt to make this short. We have a certain part of our summer house winterized each year because of lack of heat. We had a handyman do it for 20 years, with never a problem. The handyman moved on so we decided to go with a professional company. Dye winterized, and we paid them to turn on the water as well in the spring... and we had broken pipes. $$$$. Ok stuff happens. Next year same thing, Ok stuff is old, stuff happens but Dye still did the winterization in both cases. So maybe we need to look at the process and how we can avoid this in the future and if there is any thing they can do because this is now the second time. I called and asked for an estimate to replace everything and to discuss the situation with the pipes cracking. No returned call. I called again, the manager told me I have to speak with the owner, because the owner apparently came to my house for an appointment (which is impossible since it's a lake house and I'm not there). So I left the owner a message, asking to speak with him about the problem and if we could find some reasonable solution. No return call. So I conclude that they don't want to bother with this nor care. My point is common customer service and professionalism is to at least call the customer back and explain the company's position and see if there is some sort of solution. At this point we paid them a fair amount of money for each visit over the years, don't know exactly but close to $1500. Common courtesy would be to call and address the situation. In addition to all this, when they did the last winterization they removed a shower handle...and they never put it back. (pictures attached). And of course the parts are broken and not replaceable (maybe why they didn't put it back?). If they would have called me back, regardless of the outcome, I wouldn't be writing this and I possibly would have hired them to do a complete re-piping. Like I said the guys that come out our great. The lack of a call tells me they are not concerned about their customers when things don't go just right. So buyer beware, if something goes wrong, it has been my experience that they won't deal with you. Looking for a new plumber for my $600 each year.

They installed a sump pump in September that didn't quite make it to June!!! 9 MONTHS!!! It was under warranty - but guess what? labor isn't covered and the labor costs more than the pump itself. So when I asked are you just going to keep installing garbage pumps ""under warranty"" so you can keep charging me a service call? and the response was ""that could happen""!!

They do exist!!!! An extremely polite, knowledgeable and tidy plumber.... Bryan was great, he actually cared about the service we got. Our work environment is very relaxing and quiet and he was exactly that. Would recommend this company to anyone that would like a very reasonable price and top notch service. Thanks Dye plumbing for hiring awesome technicians.
