I had a water leak at my home. Goettl came out to detect leak. They charged almost twelve hundred dollars for the leak detection. Average price is 450 to 650.. They tried to tell me that my water softener system had no bypass system. The cheapest repair was going to be $5,000. The water softener people came out showed me the bypass and fixed it. I tried to call the plumbing manager several times to get a refund of about 500. I did not appreciate getting the wrong information. I had Smart Sadie which I was told I might have to pay $125 for cancellation, even though I had such a bad experience. This was in April. No call to date. Marianne Jones

My guest bathroom sink became stopped up when the mechanism to close the stopper became rusted causing the stopper in the sinks drain to close and unable to open. I called Goettl and they sent a repair technician named Vik. Vik had the parts needed for repair on his truck and had everything fixed in less than 30 minutes! Vik was awesome! He made sure the area under the sink was cleaned up and gave me some tips for some other related upcoming plumbing projects! Thank you Vik and Goettl for your fantastic work and kindness!

I feel ripped off. While the tech was excellent, it wasn't his fault that his company charged an insane $384 to change a flapper and fill valve in a toilet. I could have bought a whole new toilet for half that price. I will not call them again.

Goettl came out and bid 14,000 for a 100 gallon water heater with install. When asked for the breakdown of costs, they were not willing to give them. Subsequently, I obtained a 2nd bid for $8,500 from a competing firm. The people at Goettl are very nice, but they price gouge.

Wanted to add to my previous revue. Victor was our first contact and was really great. Professional and inspected our problem and gave us a detailed estimate of the work. Very knowledgable and job came out under max amount. Luigi was also great and a hard worker. It all couldn't have gone better.

Came out and gave an outrageous charge, then I agreed over the phone, nothing happened, so I called back and they said I needed to confirm via email. Now I'm down two extra days without hot water. I could have replaced the whole water heater at this point and been out the same money. FYI, they wanted $4000 for a new water heater and $14,000 for a tankless. Bonkers.

BUT be aware if you finance any work DO NO USE THEIR PEOPLE GOODLEAP.
Look on line at reviews before proceeding (wish we did), a nightmare of a company to deal with.

This is an update to my review posted November 22, 2023. Goettl sent me an email asking me if I had heard anything from the LA City Dept. of Building and Safety. They apparently have done nothing about the Corrections Notice they claimed was inaccurate. In their contract, Goettl guaranteed that all their work will be in compliance with applicable codes - IF, as Goettl repeatedly has told me, their rooftop installation of my HVAC system was done in compliance with all applicable codes, they - not I - are now expected to appeal the ruling from the LADBS and to have that ruling reversed quickly. IF, on the other hand, Goettl installed the equipment in a manner that was not compliant with all codes, then Goettl has breached its contractual obligations to me and has put me at risk because of their conduct.
They remain evasive and non-communicative.
Do not use this company for any work you need.
