We pay over $200 a year to have a 24-hour emergency service contract with Dutch Heating, but they let us go all night long without heat when it was freezing out. Last night my heat went out, when it was supposed to be 23 degrees outside. I noticed at 9 PM when it was down to 60 degrees in my house (supposed to be 68). We called Dutch Heating, they answered and talked to us, but then they didn't call back and offer to come until 9 AM the next morning, leaving us without heat all night in the freezing cold. We asked the service guy in the morning, ""What about this 24-hr service contract?"" He said that the 24-hr service means someone will answer the phone 24 hours but they make no guarantees when they will actually come out. He said he was busy sleeping all night instead. (He was also very rude.) They left us with no heat all night. Their website says ""you're able to count on us day or night to keep you warm,"" but we couldn't count on them. I will never trust them to keep me warm at night, and we are not renewing our contract.
Charles L.Our furnace quit working and I call to get service. they took all my info and told me they would call the on-call tech and he would call me. all most 24 hours later and still no call.
Holly T.Had an appointment scheduled, they couldnt even bother to cancel until I called them to see where repairman was. It took me 3 wks to get that appt and will take me 2 more weeks to get a new one. I guess no heat isnt a priority with them. I will be calling a different company.
Monica M.We always use Dutch Heating and always refer our friends to this company. Honest crew... My co-worker came in one day in tears because her heat went out and the company that came out said it would be over 5k worth of work. I told her to call Dutch Heating, when they came out they informed her she simply needed a new Thermostat. Less than $50 fix! She is a single mom of 2, so the difference was huge.
