We have been working with Dutch for over a decade. It is a pleasure to see the fine quality and critical thinking that goes into their work. They are always courteous and professional. Whether it's plumbing or air conditioning or any other service you can't go wrong with Dutch. They deliver great value for your money.

Buyer beware. This company is overpriced and their customer service person, Tammy, is one of the rudest women I've ever encountered. They do know how to charge and will gladly take your money; but what you get in return is of little to no value.

The TLDR context is I bought a house with a lift station (didn't know what one was) and the pump failed about 2 months after moving in. I replaced the pump beside my father with no experience and did a fine job, but we improperly installed a sump pump. I found out what the station actually was and replaced it with a sewage pump. At this point, I replaced it solo in maybe an hour or two solo. The problem still wasn't fixed, so we called Roto-Rooter. They were unable to get their cameras through the narrow pipes so we reached out to others for advice. We were recommended by a frequent Dutch customer to call them and have them look and were assured they were the best and fastest around.

It took Dutch over 30 days to get the issue resolved so that I could use the water in my own house without it backing up into my basement/garage. I was unable to do dishes, laundry, shower, etc. I'd run the water just long enough to brush my teeth and ended up having to throw a bunch of dishes away after there were fruit fly maggots all over them.

The Review:
They did fine work overall were extremely rude and incompetent. They were paid over $400 just for coming out and taking a look and diagnosing the problem inaccurately the first time. They were partly right and seem to have fabricated issues along with the actual problem. They said our sewer exit was capped off at the manhole, but the city refuted this and said ours is actually below the capped one they saw. They ran their cameras up part of the pipe and said there was blockage in the pipe, so the city checked and/or cleared that issue at no cost if there was one.

What Dutch did:
They took out the pump I installed, which took no time at all. They told me I needed a bigger, more expensive grinder pump (true). They gave Arikka a quote of $2,400+ (not counting the initial $400+) to fix the problem including parts & labor. I could've just ordered a suitable pump and installed it myself, but they made it seem like a big deal to keep the job. At this point, I'm just tired of not having water, please order/fix it. The pump itself was a special order that kept getting delayed due to COVID, but they were very poor in communicating any delays or issues. They'd give us an install date, and then call last minute or we'd call and ask for an update just to find out the pump was delayed again
The COVID delay aws out of their hands, but we'd ask if there was another suitable pump and they'd quickly say no. They just kept delaying the job and finally after 30 days had passed, they called to let us know it was delayed again.
I created a Facebook post in frustration that was getting a lot of shares/comments. Not much time passed, when suddenly an owner at Dutch called and apologized that it was taking so long. He miraculously found a suitable replacement and was able to express ship it. They had the pump and fixed it within 2 days. I was without water for 32 days and Dutch was in charge the majority of that time. Somewhere along the way, they charged us $490 (7 hours labor) for installing something I could do in 2 hours solo or less.
Quite some time passes - no bill. Did they throw it out and take an L since they caused me to live in inhumane conditions for 30+ days? Finally, a past-due bill comes in and Arikka calls them. They were unable to budge on negotiating the bill, despite fabricating the issues and way overquoting labor. They charged me the same price for the replacement pump. The only service they truly delivered having a rude lady in charge of billing that cut Arikka off repeatedly who only excels at being unhelpful. They must have failed elementary math as well, because they charged us for 7 hours of labor when the job took 4 hours TOPS if you count paying one to stand around smoking and throwing cigarette butts in my driveway. I will forever steer people away from Dutch unless the labor costs and bill are adjusted fairly.
