Juan Carlos Q.Through my home warranty I was put in touch with Dunn Rite. Communication across the board was excellent, including the text message when the technician was 20 minutes out. The 5 hour window was excessive but was happy to see the tech arrive an hour after the first hour of the window.
My tech was Richard. Very knowledgeable and answered the 100 questions I through at him. Made me understand my system better. In the end, he did not try to up sell, like most companies would, and did not leave until the unit was producing cold air again. Thanks ""Dunn Rite""!
The ONLY reason I gave this place 1 star was so that I can post how rude the customer service was !
My husband called this company today because we had a repair on June 19th to our air conditioner. This is not working now and Richard the repair man said we would have 60 days ( which I wrote on the paperwork) in case we needed them out again .
The lady that answered the phone said that this was wrong we only have the 30 days and that the technician would of never said this . Again on the date of service I wrote the 60 days down on the repair paperwork which was mentioned by the person who was here fixing our unit .
This lady ended up saying my husband was rude for saying this told him to get another company and ended up hanging up on him !! Who does this!!!???
Funny thing is ... we knew that if the leak fix didn't work we would need the equipment replaced and that is a costly repair !! I guess this company doesn't need the business !!!
If I could write a zero review I would. Jay, the technician was called out by First American Warranty to address our leaking air conditioner. At first he said he could fix it with tape (which had been done before and didn't work) but couldn't do it today, despite our appointment between 12-5pm. He went back to his car and then said he couldn't do anything because our home warranty denied the tape fix and new evap coil. No explanation for anything, extremely rude, and a waste of time. On top of that he ripped our air conditioning open and didn't close or put it back how it was. So we were worst off thanks to Jay. I wouldn't trust this company to do anything.
Eugene C.Must be frustrating for this company.
I'm guessing they beat other company bids to be a provider the home warranty companies.
My experience with Dunn Rite is through my home warranty company.
My negative experience with the delay of my AC was due to being uninformed by my home warranty company: AHS.
I'd ask status if my fix- they respond by reading a script. The script includes apologizing and empathetic bull sh comments like ""I know how frustrated you are""- all with a heavy accent from a call center in east Asia.
AHS then offers a 100$ coupon for a fan.
A fan to cool a 4 bed single fam house... AHS is a joke.
Regarding Dunn Rite- yea they are busy- yea there can be communication hurdles because they are busy- but their customer service is great.
They fixed my AC blower- the tech Richard was professional and courteous.
I would still contract with them even without AHS.
Don't slander them if the warranty company doesn't cover the scope of work- it is unreasonable to expect a them to provide a service if they can't get paid through the warranty company.
My suggestion is to switch warranty companies and choose the best plan.
And don't believe the bad reviews- pretty lame and petty.
Doug was quick, courteous, timely, efficient, professional and knew his stuff. I normally get leary of the contractors sent by warranty companies, but in this case I was wrong. Doug is great and I would use him again in a minute.
My central air conditioner no longer put out cold air so I called my home warranty company about the problem and they assigned Dunn Rite for the next day. I was given a 4 hour window in the morning and the technician Richard arrived in the second hour. He quickly diagnosed the problem as low refrigerant and refilled the system. He was careful to put in the correct amount as specified by the manufacturer, not too much or not too little. I'm told him I had it refilled last year but apparently it all leaked out. He went ahead and added a sealant that would stopped any leak. He said my system wouldn't leak any more. He said he was very experienced in servicing ACs, not like the person from last year who said he had only one month experience. I would use Dunn Rite again if I have any plumbing or AC issues. By the way the temperature went over 100 degrees in the afternoon so I am very glad my AC was working.
Khang P.The reviews are true! I had a recent experience with Dunn Rite when my home warranty sent them to service the a/c. Tech got here and before he even walked inside the house and knowing what the issue was he said theres probably nothing he can do because home warranty isn't going to cover it because I was a new owner. Anyways he took a look real quick and said my unit will probably discontinue in 2 years and said I should get a new unit for $6,500 dollars. I don't really know whats wrong with it, it blows cold air but guess not cold enough. I was looking for a cleaning or maintenance. All he said was it's not covered. Within 5 minutes of being here, he was in his car and took off. Also took $75 dollars from me for doing nothing. Not an honest company and pretty sure they will be out of business soon.
Hrishikesh K.Jay the Service Technician did a great job of finding the root cause of why the heater was not working, he got the new part and installed it.He had diagnosed, fixed, and then tested the HVAC unit. He gave me few tips and service advice on HVAC system all i can say is Great service and very professional
My upstairs air conditioner couldn't work very well ,I found Dunn-Rite Heating &Air company through First America Home Wanrranty.
The company responsed so fast and the service man Jay is very nice.
I like their service.
R B.We contacted Dunn Rite Plumbing to fix our shower. When I called the offices staff was more then helpful, she was courteous, polite and very professional with setting up our appointment. Our appointment was at 8:00 .am. sure enough right at 8:00 a.m. Doug and I believe Jeff showed up. My scheduled was tight that morning. Once they got there both went to work right away, they made a trip to their truck to get the part they needed to replace. Before I knew it Doug announce they were done. They worked fast & efficiently, you could not tell they were there as they cleaned the work area. Doug & Jeff were very polite & professional. I will definitely contact DUNN RITE PLUMBING again when needed. Thanks
