We called Duncan plumbing for our kitchen sink in our office and a technician arrived within 40 minutes and promptly solved the problem. Jorge was very clear of what our options and the charges would be and fixed the problem with minimal disruption to the office. We really appreciated it!

They called back the next week and left a message to make sure we had a ""great appointment"". Clearly the bad appointment didn't make it's way to the back office (nor this Yelp! review)

They installed my garbage disposal.
Showed up on-time, worked quickly and the guy cleaned up after himself.

I was very pleased with this company. Everything about Duncan Plumbing worked flawlessly. The woman who answered the phone and made the appointments was friendly, responsive and professional. The technician, Enrique, was so polite and helpful. He diagnosed the problem right away, got the part ordered and came back within a week to fix it. I will definitely use this company again.

I highly recommend these guys. They might not be the cheapest option but they are reliable and do high quality work. I've tried a couple of different companies for major and minor water, septic and gas issues. Unfortunately I have a couple of rental houses in the country that bring their share of headaches. Most recently, a tree fell behind a house and snapped the gas line in the middle of the night. When you have an emergency or major problem that you need fixed properly and immediately, give Duncan a call. They also have great customer service and a knowledgable staff. I like to do everything over email and keep records of all estimates, bills and payments. The office staff at Duncan are smart, professional and responsive.

The people are very nice, Jenny provides great customer service. They were quick to come out (same day) and give me a quote (no charge). I went with them for the work since they could come back that same day. The work was done very well, Jorge is great. What I have real issue with is the price and sales job done. Scott can out with Jorge for the inspection and said it was a complicated procedure. I had a couple other people in mind but since Scott said they could do the work that day I said ok. The work was ANYTHING but complicated and took a little over an hour for a ""discounted"" $485. I should have gone with a contractor/handyman.

This is not an honorable business and a big rip off. I paid them $143 to diagnose a wall heater problem and they said they would credit this back if I installed a new heater with them. They quoted $1616 which was a much higher price than a competitor that quoted $1300 so I asked if they would meet competition price so I could get my $143 credit. I have this in writing from them. Work order did not say $143 was a conditional offer only on their price. It said it was if I had them install the wall heater I would get $143. Why should I pay a higher price for them to honor their own written offer? They refused to give me the credit on a competitive price. The $143 diagnostic fee did not get my wall heater repaired and then they won't give me $143 credit. Their prices are way too high for 3-4 hours work. What a bunch of piss wipes! They charge a ridiculous price for diagnosis I would not have done if I knew they would not honor their own written offer. Home Depot sells wall heaters for $403 so I decided to try to install one myself and did it in ~3-4 hours and saved a bunch on money ~$1200 or ~$300/hr and did not have to deal with this bunch of greedy jerks . Stay away from these guys that prey on older people.

Outstanding customer service! The task was to replace a broken sewer line under my cement patio. The two men sent by Duncan were very courteous, polite and professional, and were done in the space of mere hours, and the completed project was very clean, neat, orderly and very workman like.
They have made a customer of me from now on!

We've used Duncan for probably 6000+ of business since buying our house including a bathroom upgrade, installation of a tankless water heater and a large plumbing problem entailing digging up our sewer lines and replacing a section when we first purchased our house. I highly highly recommend them. We found their prices to be very competive especially considering the quality of their work.

My sewer line backed up just as I was leaving for the evening on Saturday and I didn't have time to deal with it right then. I tried calling my normal plumber to schedule a visit for Sunday, unfortunately he was completely booked up. I tried a another highly reviewed plumber from Yelp and they were busy, so Duncan was next on the list. They had time and said they would be there between 2 and 4, that got pushed to 4-4:30, which, well, not ideal is fine.

When I booked the appointment, I was driving and maybe there was some road noise but I explained I needed a simple snake on a 50-60' run that would go through a backflow preventer. Super simple, very straightforward. I was quoted $150 because they were showing up on a Sunday. I thought that was the total, which seemed quite reasonable, oh no, that was the fee to show up. Again, there was some noise, so maybe I mis understood.

The technician arrived around 4:15 or so. Polite, clean truck, professional. I told him about the Yelp deal and he mentioned he would be right back with an estimate. I asked about the $150 and he said that was the ""unwaivable fee to just show up"". He comes back with the estimate which is nearly 2X the cost just to show up -- which is on top of the ""Sunday fee"". At this point, it is 4:15 on a Sunday and I was *NOT* happy about the price, but they pretty much had me over a barrel. He said if I wanted to not do the service, I'd still be out $150.

He snaked the line which took all of 15-20 minutes (writing the estimate took longer), and then ran a camera down the line ""no charge"". I've had a camera down the line before and know the bad spots. It is a very old house, clay lines, and a couple of trees next to it. Didn't learn anything new, but did get ""reduced"" offers for both hydro-jetting and trenchless repair. I've had other offers there.

The line needs to be snaked every 12-18 months, which I expect. It often happens at opportune times -- Christmas Eve as well as Halloween in the last 10 years. At no time did I have to pay nearly 4 bills for a 20min snake job.

They were courteous, efficient, and available....but they had me over a barrel and certainly ran with it. $150 just to show up is ridiculous. $280 for a clean out without actually quoting me up front? Not so good.

Krista from Duncan called me to follow up today, I expressed my displeasure at the pricing and will *NOT* be using them again. Two stars since the work was done, but seriously tempted for zero stars due to the insane pricing.

I may just look at getting the line replaced. It will not be with Duncan Plumbing.
