We had a leaking pipe in our shower so we needed it addressed quickly. They were able to get someone out in just a few hours which was a big relief. The plumber they sent was very professional and conscientious. Which was appreciated since he had to cut out part of the bedroom wall to access the pipe. The office person was equally professional. Honestly I'd give 5 stars except it was so expensive.

Called for an estimate, and was pretty disappointed:
- Estimated $5,000+ for a job that has been estimated for less than half of this by 3 other local companies
- Absolutely no explanation and/or details regarding the estimate were provided: how many hours of work, cost of materials, etc.
- Went for the classic home services upsell ""you should do this instead of what you're asking for because we know better"". Blatantly told me wrong things to sell me more, when other plumbers were able to explain easily (eg. size of gas piping required based on number of appliances)
- On top of that, they stuck their ugly corporate sticker on my 10 year old water heater while I was not looking... it's just a point of detail, but I thought not asking beforehand was extremely shady and disrespectful. It did not make me want to hire them.

I have not been able to test their services, but at this price tag I sure hope they would replace my installation with gold plated pipes!

This was the best experience I've ever had from start to finish. From the receptionist to the actual plumber doing the job, the profressionalism, the thoroughness, courtesy, and follow up was just extraordinary. If you need plumbing help, call Duncan and ask for ""Nui"" to handle it. You won't be disappointed!

Eric Smith of Duncan Plumbing is the best! He spent several days at our home installing a boiler for the radiant heat system, a new hot water tank, repairing the hot water recirculation system etc. He is very knowledgeable, efficient and a pleasure to have around.

My technician Lio showed up on time and changed out the valves for my washing machine in about 20 minutes. Others had told me the valves wouldn't come off and that the wall would need to be cut out in order to replace them. However Lio had the valves off and replaced quickly.

Overall, Lio was nice, courteous, and quick. He had the job done the same morning he came out without a lot of drama and conversation. He also didn't try to up sell on me. I didn't want new hoses, etc. - just changed valves.

The lovely person who answers the phone is extremely helpful. She is pleasant to talk to, always in a good mood, and she did everything she could to have a plumber at my place ASAP. Customer service is AMAZING.

I'm not good with pricing so I have no idea whether or not I was overcharged - but I do know that the job was done efficiently and courteously. I had gotten to the point (after dealing with other plumbers, etc.) at which that was all I cared about - just wanted the stupid job done once and for all! Duncan got it done for me.

Eric came to do warrantee work on a water heater. he was sent due to his training on that particular water heater. He seemed to be knowledgable, on time and explained what he was doing. Left the area all tidy. Good job.

I have used Duncan Plumbing frequently, but I never have written a review- Time is NOW, to do so! I had Duncan's service Tech, Eric Smith come to my home to replace some filters for my water filtration system. I also had him look at my shower , as I have a problem with the faucet- He was not able to fix it for me, due to cost on my part, and availability of the actual faucet unit- He did however, take the time to explain what needs to happen in the future, and quote me a price, if I am able to go forward with replacing the part later on. He took sometime to also explain the water filtration system to me, how it filters, when it needs replacement next, etc. He and my husband talked about the S.F. Giants, and what fans they both are. Eric is a very caring, likeable man- He was professional, yet fun- and shared lots of knowledge with me, which I appreciated. I think that you have a ""Gem"" with Eric on your team. I appreciated the quality work that all the techs at Duncan have done for me. Thanks Eric/Duncan, for another job well done! -
