Dunbar Plumbing is now my go-to company for all my plumbing needs! They were quick and very professional. I needed a new garbage disposal installed because my old was beyond repair. Thankfully when I called they were able to install my new one within less than a week. There pricing is in alignment with what most plumbers charge. Since I purchased my disposal they guaranteed the work for 30 days instead of them supplying the disposal themselves.

Dunbar Plumbing and Repair Service did a plumbing job for us and we are very pleased with their service. They were professional in every regard and were competitive in their pricing.

When three other plumbing services came out to inspect, in each case they explained that the nature of the job was such that it required shutting of the water to the 53 condo units in our building, for 4-6 hours. Dunbar Plumbing came out, carefully inspected the particulars, analyzed what would and would not be a feasible approach to do the job, and they concluded that the job could be professionally done without turning off the water to the whole building. They came back the next day and performed the work. When they finished, the area they had worked in was as pristine as before they started.

That was three months ago. The plumbing installation is trouble free, no leaks, free flowing, and quick out-flow. It's as if the sink has always been there. Mind you, Dunbar installed a sink in a room where one had never existed. The advanced plumbing techniques and innovative thinking that Dunbar uses make Dunbar master plumbers in my book; In the future I will use them exclusively.

Hired a plumber from another company to replace a toilet base gasket, only to be scolded by telling I needed to replace the entire toilet. After declining and scheduling the repair serviced, they failed to show up.

I ended up calling Dunbar, and they were nice to accommodate me last minute. I appreciate they work evening hours, and were able to replace the gasket without up-selling unnecessary services.

For the actual rendered service, they were able to go above and beyond. Not only did they replaced the gasket as requested, but also replaced the flapper to improve flushing. Overall excellent service at a fair price.

They do accept Venmo as a payment option, so that appeals greatly to us younger folks.

I called this company on Thursday to schedule an appointment for a leaking kitchen sink, I was told someone will be out the next day around 10 or 11 am I waited for almost 2 hours. No show or phone call. You just can't trust or depend . DO NOT Patronize this company.

I was very impressed by the level of professionalism that Dunbar's plumbing and repair service provided at my house. He repaired my bathroom unit and replaced my toilet. Angelo takes pride in his work, very detailed oriented and made sure that I had a full understanding of what was taking place. In addition, he keeps his appointments and he is prompt. He also cleaned after himself and charged a very good price. I would highly recommend his services!

I contacted Dunbar Plumbing they came out the next day and fixed my water spigot and they were quick and cleaned up after themselves. The price was good and I will use again hopefully nothing soon but yes check them out.

Mr.Dunbar and his team came to Rod out my basement that had sitting water backed up. Making an appointment was easy. I was able to schedule service the same day. He even called once he had arrived to my building! Friendly and professional customer service. He even gave us suggestions on how to prevent the problem in the future. I would use this service again.

Getting a plumber on the Southside of Chicago is practically impossible. After calling many places they were the first to accept. I called on Wednesday morning and made an appointment to check my tub that was leaking and they said they could come the next day and we set a time. The next day they call me 15 minutes before he's supposed to be at my condo to say they're cancelling. I ask why and he says because they're booked up. I ask how they could be booked when I made an appointment? and he responds with ""we checked our logs and we have a bunch of people ahead of you"". I honestly don't even know what that means. How did you not ""check you logs"" when I made the appointment? As I said I made the appointment in the morning, so at no point during the ENTIRE day did you ""check you logs"" to see if the appointment was available, after you guaranteed me a time? Sounds like a load of bs to me. He also said if I couldn't find another plumber to call them back. I guarantee you, even if I don't find another plumber, I will not be calling back. So take that how you want, they seem to be very unorganized and unprofessional to say the least.

Dunbar and his crew are INCREDIBLE!!! He is prompt and very professional. As a female, it can be difficult working with contractors who try to take advantage of you. Dunbar and his staff were uniformed, professional and CLEAN! My laundry sink was backing up and pushing water back into the washing machine. Dunbar and his crew came through the entrance closest to the basement (I appreciated that because I'm crazy about shoes on my hardwood floors) and before they went any further, they all put booties over their shoes. This was also greatly appreciated because I have light colored carpet in my basement. Once Dunbar figured out the issue with the sink, he laid throws down from my back door, down the basement stairs, the basement carpet all the way to the laundry room before he went to get the rodder so he wouldn't dirty/contaminate the carpet. He blew the lines out and covered himself while he did that so if anything splashed up from the sink, it wouldn't be all over the walls and floor. The sink was still draining slower than either of us liked so he rodded the line. One of the pipes were old, I'm sure it's been there since the house was built, and he replaced that pipe to prevent any future problems. Once everything was done, I sent the washing machine through a rinse cycle to see how quickly the water was draining from the sink and to make sure it was no longer backing up into the machine. Dunbar was patient, answered alllll my questions, wiped the sink down and swept the floors before he left. They even picked up the heavy rodder vs slamming the thing stair by stair up and down my basement. Prices definitely can't be beat and for the work he did and how he went above and beyond, no plumbers crack showing, no odors, booties, throw covers for floors, clean up, and NOBODY asked ""can I use your bathroom""- I will be using Dunbar and his team for any plumbing issue I run into.

I woke up to a burst pipe and called at least a dozen plumbers. I got in touch with Mr. Dunbar, he gave me a two hour window and arrived on time. He quickly found the problem, gave me a price and repaired the pipe all in about 30 minutes. He and his associate were courteous, did a great job and told me what to do in the future. I'll definitely contact him for future work.
