Recommended Customer Reviews
I was initially quoted $350 for a repair. When I called back, the front desk quoted $150, so I decided to go ahead and schedule. The technician who came also told me a service call is $150.
However they insisted that I pay $350 because evidently, the person who quoted me $350 is the owner. I was disappointed with how rude he was on the phone and didn't even want to hear me.
If this review is still up, he hasn't called me. Its clear their pricing is not standard and based on what they can get in a situation. I would avoid.
I would give zero stars if I could. Had a water line break in yard. Called and was given estimate of $2000 to $3000. Their guys came out and fumbled around trying to find the leak where pipe comes in house even though they were told it was in yard. They eventually figured it out and destroyed my yard in the process. They did have me sign a waiver on yard damage so now I see why. They had no clue how to operate a backhoe to fill the trench back in. The worse part is the next day they bill my card for $5000 + with no explanation. I have contacted the owner by phone, by text and by email requesting an itemized bill. Never received anything. Owner said multiple times he would send it over but has not done it. Maybe the bill was valid, I'll never know because he refuses to itemize my charges. Run from this company!
P E.Appointment window for tech arrival was between 9-10am. AT 10:15 I called office to get a status update. Was told that someone had pushed our appointment window back to 10a-Noon. First we heard of change. Said fine and waited. AGain, at 12:15 had to call office to get tech status. Was told still on first job. We canceled and said we'd find someone else to do the plumbing repair. I understand running a business isn't easy and things happen but to not have the common courtesy to call and inform us of the status shows little respect for the customers time.
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! My email to Dwayne Browning the Owner-
You got the type of Gas wrong. This is confirmed by our construction engineer who placed the order and myself who heard him clearly tell her propane. As a Realtor I know the difference because I ordered the Pool Heater. She simply got it wrong!
You confirm that the quote we approved for work was for $350. But the bill was $1045
I never received the permit for the inspection and they tore up my yard and left it in a complete mess.
The inspector never looked at the work. He showed and said that all they did was install a foot and a half pipe so he will check it off as inspected.
I had other contractors here that said it was not installed properly. I am having a certified tech re-inspect and I am filing a complaint with the AG's office and the office of licensing and professionalism for the state of Maryland
You confirmed that we were never told the regulator WAS needed AND the email confirms that you stated it MAYBE needed but your guys put it on without any notice or approval from us.
Any changes to an existing quote MUST be approved before the work can be done .
It doesn't matter if the technician decides it's needed. He should have stopped the work. Contact my husband who was right there at the house and requested permission to add the regulator because he suggested it is required now that he physically saw the job.
The same exact thing he did with the vent and the permit.
We have one primary issue
You do not have authority to do work just because you say it may be needed. Any deviation or change must be approved by the owner(s), first. It is apparent that as a business owner you may know plumbing and heating, but obviously you do not know Maryland law.
In the housing industry we all make mistakes. but it is the businesses with integrity that take responsibility for them. I regret you are creating this obvious wrong into a time consuming matter for us on top of being wronged.
Please know that we will never use you ; or Browning Pools again. I will share my review of you on the internet and within every brokerage in Virginia and Maryland in addition to taking external action of filing a complaint. It's the principle. Further we will be canceling our $12,000 spa tub order with Browning because we do not want to do business with companies who partner with folks who do not abide by the rules of ethics and law.
All you had to do was admit that you did not get permission to do the work. If I sign a real estate contract to market/list a home and I say you may need newspaper ads at $295 and I start the listing and decide well it does require these ads to properly sale. I can't just order them and charge the client. I have to go back to the client and let them know that in order to continue I need permissiopproval to run the ads at a cost of $295 as we discussed as a maybe in our original quote. The same holds true for any contractor. You do not deviate and do wrok based on a maybe! You get the Owners approval, FIRST! Arguing with me about simple contract law is simply NONSENSICAL!
You will get our complaint(s) from the appropriate agencies.
Good day!

The young plumbers fixed the leak by installing a new hose bib. Plumbers did not have long screws to go into masonry. PEX was used in a situation where there is a lot of pressure on the pipes. No extra support was given to the pipes by installing cross bracing. I called to speak to the owner. I was told he'd call me. Owner never called. I sent a certified return receipt letter. Again, I explained the situation and asked the owner to call. I never got the courtesy of a call. I was left no choice but to review with this information. Such poor communication. Finally, I had to call another plumbing company.
Made an appointment and they never showed up. I called one hour after they were supposed to be here and Dawn was rude and unhelpful. I had made the appointment a few days earlier and she was supposed to call me back with an answer to a question. She never bothered to follow up regarding the question and then apparently decided to remove me from the schedule without letting me know. We had scheduled a specific day and time, and I was shocked that she did not even bother to really apologize when I let her know how disappointed I was with the customer service. Instead, she told me that it would take 1-2 weeks to get me back on their schedule. I asked her to work with me and try to rearrange their schedule because this was their mistake. She told me if I didn't like it to use another plumber. So I am.
Really good guy answered my call and help sooooooooooooo much!
I had a real mess on my hands with a leaking dishwasher and .multiple shutoff valves in my michigan basement. I still don't understand how this happened but Mike who w
Just supposed to,shutoff the water until I could contact my landlord felt bad for my badly plumbed house and located the shutoff off only for the dishwasher it the upstairs bathroom sink when that decided to get in on the fun and start spraying hot water all over the place too. When it rains....
Anyway, once that shutoff was located ( my basement has no less than 10 valves (why, I really really, don't be a clue) I find out if was his birthday and he said no charge. I am definitely calling this company back when it's decided how this is to be handled.
Thanks Mike!!!! If I could, I'd give him 10 stars!
Had someone fix a leak & once done, was quoted an approximate cost of $160-$180. Never received an invoice, but when I checked my credit card (which I had to provide when I called to schedule), there was a charge of $296. I realize that the $160-$180 was just an estimate, but that's a pretty significant difference than what I was charged. When my husband called to question the charge, they came back with a credit of $21.25! Seriously??? When my husband spoke with the owner, he said that the guy that was here was fairly new & the woman in the office that day was sick. Not sure what the poor woman being sick had to do with it but whatever! Feel like he could've done better than $21 as it wasn't my problem that the guy was fairly or the woman was sick. He said to my husband ""you want me to give you a $100 credit out of my company's pocket"" which we declined. Seems like they could've taken some accountability. Finally received an invoice today & saw that I was charged for paint & booties along with other supplies. However, I'm not sure what the paint was for & neither employee wore booties.
I was on the schedule for a tech to arrive between 9 and 10 and no one showed. When I called at 11:00 I asked where the plumber was and I was told you were moved to 1:30 and no one bothered to call me.
The plumbing company is a scam artist. I have a home warrant and they were trying to make money off of me. Plumber informed me if I dug up the outside line to have access which was done. They still wanted me to pay 500.00. Dwayne starting raising his voice. There customer service sucks. I would not recommend them to no one.
Alexander J.Duane runs a fantastic business! He did a large septic piping repair, right after we moved in to our house. The job turned out to be significantly more work than was estimated, but Dun Rite still completed the job on schedule, and for the amount estimated. They also left our property in a good state, with all the removed materials replaced and/or stacked.
I also made an emergency call, when one of our toilets stopped flushing. Even though the problem was far down a main drain pipe, Dun Rite did the job in a reasonable time, and the charge, especially given the emergency nature of our request, was very reasonable.
Give them a try!
