After installing our new furnace, I realized that they put a drain line going out the front of the house. Upon further inspection it was a faux drain pipe made to look like they went under the house and connected it to the furnace. Terrible decision by dukes crew.

The service wasn't great it was spectacular. I contacted Dukes due to a botched from another plumbing company, Magic Men. I am single female in the city and was 100% comfortable letting Dukes into my home. This is important to me. They were responsive, efficient, skilled at their craft and the pricing for the quality was bar none. I whole heartedly recommend Dukes. Feel free to ask me any questions. I want to support more local vendors and give them the credit that is due. Thanks guys for renewing my faith in plumbers!!! Dawn

The service tech was great the owner is a piece of work. He said I was rude to his secretary and he called me and gave me a bunch of crap over it and I was not rude to her. He had to go to Sparks twice to get the part because he got the wrong part the first time this guy is not professional he blame me for everything that he had to go through to get the part. Then he charged me $570 to put a Roof vent on. He told me he was only charging me for the vent and not charge for the labor. The price of the vent is $209 on line. I will never use Duke's Plumbing again he's a rip-off artist.
This is the website for the vent

$570.00 - $209.00 = $361.00
yet he said there was no charge for the labor

The first time I used Duke's Plumbing was to install a Toilet. 2 weeks later it came loose from the floor. I was glad when Duke himself came out and repaired it at no charge. So when we had a flooded shower I immediately called Duke's and they came out but wanted to charge me extra because it was Memorial Day. I said OK. They sent a guy named Giovanni, who was late showing up, and he spent 2 hours trying to clear the clog. He kept saying he didn't have the right equipment. So after 2 hours the problem wasn't fixed but Giovanni gave us a discount and only charged us for 2 hours work. He suggested we call another company, which I did. I called Roto Rooter and they showed up early and fixed the problem in 35 minutes. I later talked to Giovanni and he told me he had given us a discount and he couldn't carry every kind of equipment in his truck. I'll NEVER CALL DUKE'S AGAIN AND I SUGGEST YOU NOT CALL THEM.

We needed our furnace replaced and got it done two days after the initial inspection call. Giovanni did a great job for us and was great to work with.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Two ""plumbers"" came and spent over an hour at our company in carson city trying to diagnose an issue with a machine. They didn't diagnose or solve anything. I called this plumber to see if he had gotten anywhere on the issue and he had made no progress in finding the part. They were scheduled to come back in two weeks and would likely be no closer in solving the issue. On top of all of this Hoffman plumbing solved it in 15 minutes and billed half the price of these knuckleheads.

I called Duke's because they offer bathroom remodels. I set up an appointment for them to come out to review the scope of the project. They called after the scheduled time to state they were running late. We made another appointment for another day that week. NO SHOW NO CALL. We used them in the past for seasonal matenance and will continue unless they don't show up for those or they cancel me becuase of this review.

I had Dukes install a hot water heater. This was to replace an existing gas heater. I emptied the gas tank and ran all the new electrical myself so all they had to do was take the old tank out, put the new tank in place and plumb it in as well as a couple of lines to include a hot water recirc pump. In any case, they took 3 hours and the install was fine but the bill was 840.00 for 3 hours of work. Not sure what to think but this seems to be very much excessive. Super super pricey IMO for an easy job.

This is a very shady company. Duke even has his mobile phone set to ""Restricted"" so no one can reach him after they are abused by this substandard company. I was just called ""retarded"" over the phone by a lady at the company when I was trying to file a complaint. Be forewarned, stay clear!!! I wonder how many of the positive ratings from this company are phony, posted by family members or fictitious accounts.

get a second opinion from anyone before you replace any a/c or furnace. Or better deal with a company with 5 stars and Not these kind of warnings from customers.. I showed up at my gf house with our newborn child in mid July, And they said the a/c wasnt working. Dukes' had installed a furnace in 2019. The a/c was working at that time... the furnace is installed and the ac wasnt working in 2020 !!!...its summer 2021 and ive grown up doing hvac with my dad..... i was confused when they said they had ac then it was gone??? So i get up this morning check, they have a condensor outside.. ok... thats good... crawled in the attic they had installed the old coil back onto the furnace, that is good.. they had cut the copper pipes and taped them, nice that they taped them as this prevents dust and debris in pipes but thats problem right there, they cut the copper pipes from coil to condensor and they did not hook back up..
They didnt complete the first job they were paid to do properly, spent the whole year of 2020 in the heat, the few time they called duke and ask to fix the ac he said he would send a technician but never did...I called to make a complaint and they are sending someone out today which is a Saturday..
So id like to thank the 2 technician austin and charlie for getting it back working, why it took sooo long is concerning. And the fact when they did call a few times were left in the heat.. i am bumping it up to 2 stars for them taking ownership today and addressing the problem on a Saturday. I will also be posting pictures of damage that was done while they were getting the furnace in the attic... in the 10 years I did hvac. We never damaged the customers more than some paint... i let the pictures speak for themselves... a 4,000 dollar furnace shouldn't incure hundreds more in damages done to the house... 4000 should get a furnace and the house its installed in left in good shape in my honest opinion...
