Had them come out to root out the line leading to the street. The plumbers were nice, very professional, and the work was good. The problem I have, and this is a big problem, is the prices and up-selling. The charged about 100 bucks over the going rate to clear a line. I've had them out twice before, and this is my only experience with plumbers, so the price didn't seem out of bounds.

The third time out. (We need this done every 18-24 months so that's fine) they gave me a 'lifetime contract' with a discounted price guarantee that would never go up. Two years later, the contract suddenly isn't 'lifetime' but two years. I don't have the resources to take this to court, so we've switched to another company that was 100 bucks less and did fine work. I will never recommend Blanton to anyone.

Terrible. Here's why. On Saturday we found that we had a small pipe that had frozen and burst. We had already pulled off the drywall and located exactly where the leak was and turned off the main water supply. We were recommended this company by a friend who surprisingly had a great experience. We wish we could have said the same. When we called, we asked about their rates, if they had Saturday rates etc. We were told no, that not only do they not have Saturday rates they also do free estimates. Great, we thought. We had them come out and they indeed were super quick getting to us, unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say about them.

Once he got there, we were told that we had to pay a Diagnostic Fee of $269.00 (which only apparently gets charged to some people since our friend did not get charged this fee) which only then could we get our ""free estimate."" He told us this fee includes sawing off drywall to find the leak (although we had already found it.) Fine, whatever we were stuck at this point. His idea of sawing off drywall, was to start using his hands to physically rip chunks out of the drywall and then proceed to tell us that yes, the leak is on the pipe we originally found. Of course, he left a gaping ripped open hole in the wall whereas we had made a nice clean cut in order to fix the drywall easily.

After all this 20 minutes and 16 inches of 1/2 inch copper pipe later, the grand total for ~30 minutes of work? $500.00.

I would absolutely not every recommend this plumber to anybody. There's a reason why their website doesn't list their Yelp Reviews, this company is not only deceptive with their free estimates but sloppy and will cost you more to fix what they break than just the outrageous fees they charge you.

no stars, they installed a back sump pump which last a whole year to ca cost of $550 and then wanted another 500 to come and check to see why it fail. run and fast as you can from this rip off artists.

Terrible people. The guy that came to my house ""boomer"" , yes that was his name, was high as a kite. They tried ripping me off. I called another company that showed me what this guy was telling was all a lie. If you use this company you're an idiot.

duane blanton is nothing but a fraud and a douchebag. i had this company come to my home in wisconsin and clear my sewer line. Matt showed up and went right to work and cleared my line in about 20 mins. a bit costly but he did a good job so i figured money well spent... well a few months later it was clogged again and a different guy who turned out to be a total dumb ass came out and cleared the line and showed me that the pipe was broke. so i paid $2,200 and they broke up my basement floor and repaired the problem.. while waiting for an inspector i heard the workers talking about having to leave because they had a different ""paid off"" plumber coming for inspection... because duane blanton plumbing is not licensed in the state of wisconsin and therefore it is illegal for them to do any kind of repair job inside or outside... Fuck you Duane Blanton you fraud.. i hope this helps anyone considering calling these guys their service has gotten even worse over the past year, from what im told anyway.. DONT USE D.B PLUMBING FOR ANYTHING OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Dwayne Blanton is not a plumbing service, it is a bully, con-man who takes advantage of single mothers in the middle of the night. When Arlington Heights was flooded over 25% of the town, both of my sump pumps went out at 2:00 a.m. and my 16 year old son, frantically calling every plumber in the phone book. Once sewage started flowing up thru the drains, we knew we were in trouble. At 4:00 a.m., the plumber started the work and put in two sump pumps, when I only approved one of them, and at 7:00 a.m. rudely demanded full payment of services. I have no warranty, I have no guarantee and when I explained that I could only pay half, because that is all I had, he demanded payment.

Dwayne has left several rude messages, threatening that I have saved on my voicemail. If anyone wants to hear WHO NOT to call for plumbing, he is the man. I am deeply saddened that he took advantage of me, on a night where the entire town was under water. Do not use this plumber.

I live with my father. He asked for me to find a plumber online. I found Duane Blanton high up on the search results, called to set them up to fix a leaky bathtub faucet. The guy comes 2 hours late, I answer the door, he goes ""plumber""...i was like ""yyyyyyyeah"" I show him the bathroom tub. He goes ""leaking?"" I said ""um yeah"" (see the LEAK). He begins explaining how expensive it is going to be since it is some special namebrand part. He said the part alone would be close to $200 plus an hour of labor. He writes out some contract that we owe him $350 for the job (it wouldve been 500 but my dad said HE'D go to the damn hardware store to pick up the part if it was that expensive to drive. This is where Duane Blanton absolutely fell apart since my dad called his bluff on the ""$200 part"":

The guy realized that my dad was going to find out the real price of the part, so he says he can't do the job anymore for that low of a price. Little did he know my dad remodels as a hobby. Guess what guys???? THE
PART WAS $40 AND MY DAD FIXED THE LEAK IN 20 MINUTES.

Duane Blanton, you guys really and truly tried to scam us out of hundreds of dollars. You were caught red handed by fellow remodelers, and now hundreds of people will read your bad reviews online...looks like I'm nowhere near the only dissatisfied customer.

Walk away... VERY QUICKLY. $488 for a garbage disposal change out that took less than 50 minutes - and that included a $50 off coupon. Really?

I am really digusted with this company. Unfortunately, I had signed up for a free yearly inspection service. They called to schedule an appointment to come out twice and failed to show on either occasion. I was pretty upset since I took off work and when I called to find out when they were coming- I was told that they were too busy. Very unapologetic. I'm through with them.

Don't hire these crooks! They will lie, cheat and steal from you! This man has had 12 disputes with the bbb in 24 months.
