Been waiting for almost two days now for the contractor! Poor customer service, as it stands right now they won't be out of my house until 9:00 pm. Giving Home Depot a very terrible name. Told I would receive a call between 7-8:00, missed two days of work, never received a call....they sure did receive my money with no problem!
Annette N.Antuan C. installed my water heater and did a fabulous job. Very prompt and professional. I am very happy I called. Will use this company in the future! I highly recommend him and this company for any water installation jobs.
They were referred by Home Depot for installation to replace a water heater. Andrea was great, gave me all the information I asked for. When the water heater was installed, it was damaged (dented and creased) on both sides. We were not informed of the damage at the time, so when noticed, I contacted them and sent photos of the damage. After several weeks of back and forth, they told me that they would not replace the unit since it was working correctly and offered only a $50 credit. To me, it's like buying a new car with a dent in the door and the dealer saying that it runs fine so live with it. When you spend $1400+ for a new appliance, you expect it to be in new condition. Although they were friendly on the phone, I would not recommend their work nor their installers.
DRF has since contacted me and replaced the damaged water heater. Andy who installed it was not happy about it and definitely made it known. I appreciate DRF resolving the issue.

So my frustrating journey with this company never ended. I am one of their clients who got robbed off with their overpriced water heater installation, problem of water leak issue was not resolved and very poor customer service on how they resolve my issue. Other store/business when you are not satisfied with the product or service, they give you a refund or you can return the product. But this company DRF trusted proper solutions, they dont care as long as they got my money of a service and product that I am not happy and satisfied. I am requesting for a refund and return of the 40 gallon water heater installation worth $1942 but there customer service insulted me with a $25 home depot gift card as a resolution instead lol. This is the worst customer service I ever received in my life. I think I am unfairly treated as a client and I cant believe that this company is under home depot. They can take my money but their integrity will forever be marked with this service.

I don't know why Home Depot contracted this company DRF Trusted Property as they cannot be trusted and there purpose mainly is to rip off customers pocket with there over pricing and manipulating clients. If there is an issue/problem to fix, they run off you and don't give a good resolution.I have a very unpleasant experience on my first water heater installation with this company. I was given an estimate for a 50 G water heater wifi ready for $1400 but since 50 G don't fit I agreed to 40 gallon, thinking that it will save me a little bit. However, they charged me $1942 for just a 3 hour 40 gallon water heater installation, which doesn't make sense as I downgraded to 40 G not wifi ready from my initial estimate of $1400 with 50 gallon wifi ready. And not just that, the water leak problem never resolved even with the new water heater and it made me very mad. They never had a good resolution to my issue. I'll never ever use this company for my next project again. Very bad experience. Beware buyers!
Joanne B.No estimate was provided to my husband. You are mistaken Carly. If that had been the case we would have called someone else. But thank you for your reply.
Liz E.We used them to replace our water heater. The Water heater was installed perfectly fine, but the workers dragged it up 4 flights of stairs, damaging the stairs all the way up. Then into our home leaving gouges in our entry way. When we called to let them know and to start the process of getting it figured out, the guy (Tad) on the phone was so nice and helpful. Even asked me for pictures and said him and his manager were reviewing. THEN they called my husband (NOT ME) to tell him that they were not responsible for the damage done to the floors by THEIR contractors. They offered us a $125 discount and refused to finish installing the heater until we excepted their terms. Otherwise, they were going to leave us with no water heater AND the damage done to our home and building.
When we pointed out the scratches to their contractor they said ""Oh well, the dolly's wheel must not have been spinning. we will have to WD40 it"" Taking absolutely NO responsibility in the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS worth of damage they did to our home and building.
I would recommend you go elsewhere, and if you are going through Home Depot (as we did) I would recommend asking for a different contractor then this company. Really just unbelievable. If they dropped a wrench, that is one thing, but they dragged a 40-gallon water heater up 4 flights of stairs and through our home TAKING NO CARE WHAT-SO-EVER!
I used DRF as the Home Depot installer to replace my water heater. I spoke to a rep at DRF over the phone and gave him all the specs and he gave me a quote for a water heater plus installation that I agreed on and he emailed me a confirmation price. We spent 30 minutes on the phone going over every detail. We agreed to schedule an appointment the following day at 5pm. He did make me aware that it might be tough to get someone out at 5pm but said he would try. The gentleman was very nice and felt good about using this company.
Then here is where we ran into the problem: I got a courtesy call the next day at 645am from DRF leaving me a voice mail to confirm the appointment for the day. I returned the call 5 minutes later and the rep explained that it was a courtesy call and that they will work on seeing if they can get a contractor out at 5pm as requested.
I called DRF around noon to follow up. The rep told me that they could not get a contractor out and that it would be an additional $250 for an emergency contractor to come out. I told her to that I would rather schedule it during the morning the next day.
The rep goes on to go over the account and gave me a higher price for a standard installation, which I did not agree on and picked the Safety and Assurance package which was less than the standard package she was charging me for. I explained that a quote was already in place from a different rep and I told her I would email the quote to confirm.
I emailed the quote and the rep gave me a call saying that her boss and herself cannot honor the quote and that it was incorrect pricing. She went on to say that it was a quote from True Value and she said that they sent out a contractor to my unit and nobody was there and that I confirmed over the phone. All was lies, just to get me to pay more. I know what a Home Depot is vs. a True Value plus the email that I forward her with the quote says right at the bottom HOME DEPOT.
I was disgusted at the lies pulled by the representative just to score an extra couple hundred bucks for her metrics or quota. I am a new home owner and would of used them again if there wasn't the lies and cheap salesman antics. This rubbed me the wrong way and it is horrible business. You win your customers over with great customer service. You don't need bags of tricks to get more money out of us. You do a good job, present a good attitude. We will come back.
Phil K.Interesting that DRF claims each job is quoted based on requirements. If the job took 15 minutes to perform, used about 4 feet of flexible copper water line and a single valve and cost nearly $500, I can't even imagine what a REAL plumbing project might cost.
The plumber on site told me it was a standard price that he has no input to, and even asked me if they had told me the cost when I made the appointment.
And please make no mistake: I did not choose DRF. Home Depot made that choice for me. I am working with their management now to help prevent this from happening to another unsuspecting Home Depot customer.
I found DRF through my water heater's manufacturer website for servicing my Rheem tankless water heater for error code 1L.
I called them for fixing an error code showing in my water heater display panel. They advised me that a flush would take care of that issue and scheduled an appointment for the flush and charged me $129.99.
But even after the flush the error code didn't reset, the technician who did the flush didn't sound very experienced about the issue...
They called me the next day and wanted to schedule a service appointment for $250.00 to diagnose what the error code is.
As experts in tankless water heaters, I expect them to have known what the issue is before suggesting for a flush, that could have saved my money & time.
Keith P.Donovan was very professional and knowledgeable.
Did a great installation of my water heater and gave me a heads-up on some future improvements needed to my chimney.
