I called Drake Mechanical to assess the smell of natural gas at the fireplace valve when the pilot is turned off. The 2 men sent were very nice, assessed the issue and tightened the Dante valve, then tested to be sure that there were no more leaks. No parts were needed. They were at the property not more than 45 minutes. Imagine my surprise when I received a bill for $300. I spoke with the service manager and was rudely blown off. Guess who won't be using their services again.

I set a appointment over two weeks out witch was fine but the day of the appointment NO SHOW, NO CALL. I called to see what was up only to be told I was 5 more days out WOW... I tried to get the lady on the phone to explain to me how that could be. I was at disbelief only for her to tell me she wasn't going to argue with me i could take it or leave it so i left it and called another company. Would not recommend. They way overbook, Poor communication bad customer service. After seeing a lot of bad reviews i see now Drakes was a bad choice from the beginning.

Hello, my sewage line plugged up twice in 7 days, so I called Drake Mechanical in both instances. The first time John Kitson arrived, and snaked out the line, which appeared to clear the obstructions. However a week later, the line backed up again, so I called Drake Plumbing again, and asked for Mr. Kitson to respond back. He snaked the line again, which cleared the line. The sewage line is only two years old, and was part of the reconstruction of the drain culvert by the Ada County highway district. My drain line was routed beneath the concrete culvert that they installed, and I am afraid that the culvert is now settling on top of my sewage line. Therefore, I am going to have to have John with Drake Plumbing give me a bid to reroute the sewage line completely.

These are the people you need. They are so we'll connected to this community. When I was a kid mom would call Drake mechanical whenever something went wrong. Now as an adult we may have more options, but only one right answer. Tom our tech was smart is honest and professional. And I couldn't have asked for better help. You guys rock. You have a great team. Thanks.

We've had multiple maintenance and issues resolved by Drake and they have always been professional and extremely helpful and thorough. Always do a wonderful job, Thomas is one of their employees who helps with our issues/maintenance and he is one of the best workers I've ever met! Thanks for all you guys do! Highly recommend.

Wow. I can't believe the other reviews. We have a boiler system and would not use any other business. Drake completely rebuilt our boiler system using cooper pipes instead of PVC and the system has run perfectly. We did have a pinpoint leak in our hot water tank and when I called Drake they were here in 30 min or less. The part was just slightly out of warranty and they were kind enough to give us a discount on the labor. Everyone we have talked to there or had come to the house has always been kind and considerate. The cost of service has always been reasonable.

Drake came out to replace a hosebib. They put in cheap bib that split after 2 years. Yes I did cover it during the winter. Cost $320.
Sad to say but I had to hire someone ""out of country"" to get me a top notch bib for 40 dollars. Labor 35 per hour job $120. That is a fair price, I dont eve make 35 per hour total cost $120.

SHORT STORY if you are having an emergency or under a time crunch to get something fixed...THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO CALL very inconsiderate customer service. They don't talk to you before or after they leave your property and you can probably count on them not showing up on time or at all in my experience. We waited hours for them not to even show up or give us a courtesy call.

Tech that came out for our quote was nice and capable but charged us $39 (none of the other companies I got a quote from charged us anything for a quote). Quote received was literally 4x my other two quotes ! I understand some variance, but seriously 4 times the others AND i had to pay $39 for a visit when all else are free???? Inexcusable.
I even tried to call to inquire as to why they are 4x the other guys to see if maybe they saw something important that the others missed... but am being ignored by the service manager. Bottom line- you MUST Get multiple quotes if you are considering these guys and prepare to pay for a quote that is free from everyone else.

call them to come out to fix my toilet I was told that Just to drive to my house it was 165.00 not to touch any thing but just to drive here. I was shocked so I said ""Jesus your not doctors"" Bill told me that now because I used that kind of language he woundn't come out today at all. I hope they have lots of other customers because they just lost us.
