Wow. I can't believe the other reviews. We have a boiler system and would not use any other business. Drake completely rebuilt our boiler system using cooper pipes instead of PVC and the system has run perfectly. We did have a pinpoint leak in our hot water tank and when I called Drake they were here in 30 min or less. The part was just slightly out of warranty and they were kind enough to give us a discount on the labor. Everyone we have talked to there or had come to the house has always been kind and considerate. The cost of service has always been reasonable.

Drake came out to replace a hosebib. They put in cheap bib that split after 2 years. Yes I did cover it during the winter. Cost $320.
Sad to say but I had to hire someone ""out of country"" to get me a top notch bib for 40 dollars. Labor 35 per hour job $120. That is a fair price, I dont eve make 35 per hour total cost $120.

SHORT STORY if you are having an emergency or under a time crunch to get something fixed...THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO CALL very inconsiderate customer service. They don't talk to you before or after they leave your property and you can probably count on them not showing up on time or at all in my experience. We waited hours for them not to even show up or give us a courtesy call.

Tech that came out for our quote was nice and capable but charged us $39 (none of the other companies I got a quote from charged us anything for a quote). Quote received was literally 4x my other two quotes ! I understand some variance, but seriously 4 times the others AND i had to pay $39 for a visit when all else are free???? Inexcusable.
I even tried to call to inquire as to why they are 4x the other guys to see if maybe they saw something important that the others missed... but am being ignored by the service manager. Bottom line- you MUST Get multiple quotes if you are considering these guys and prepare to pay for a quote that is free from everyone else.

call them to come out to fix my toilet I was told that Just to drive to my house it was 165.00 not to touch any thing but just to drive here. I was shocked so I said ""Jesus your not doctors"" Bill told me that now because I used that kind of language he woundn't come out today at all. I hope they have lots of other customers because they just lost us.

We recently had them come out to fix our water issues, made the appointment they showed up two hours late looked at our problems and had no idea what they were doing they made some calls and said they would have to order a special switch told us it would take a couple of days to get it so time went by our problem got worse I called twice after two weeks went by asked about our ordered part not one person in there office knew what I was talking about said they would get back to me by the end of the day that didn't happen . Realized there office staff and management was incompetent and not true to there word! I called to more times my wife called three times they said they were on it finally talked to someone said they were the boss huh 35 days later now I have no water in my home they came out for twent min Installed the part charged me twice the labor and were very rude they do not belong in business they are scammers!!!!! Beware!

Very dissapointed in this company's service! Sent a technician over to do a gasket on my pellet stove door and had no clue what he was doing. Changed way to much and ruined a 50 dollar part. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

I woke up Sunday morning to a cold house. After some quick self-trouble shooting I determined the high limit switch in my furnace went bad. Seeing as how my wife and children were freezing I decided to call anyone to see if I could get it fixed rather than wait to Monday. My friend recommended Drake so I figured why not. After talking to a grumpy tech he told me it would be $150 just for him to show up. But I was in a pinch so I agreed. After he showed up it took him 10 minutes to determine it was in fact the switch as I knew and then added $50 for labor. At that time he told me that just to get the parts warehouse open would cost an additional $100--not for the part. Just to get it open. At that point I was already spending deep cash so I declined and said my family would suffer in a cold house. So there goes some Christmas shopping money. I get that it's spendy on a Sunday, but why not tell me that it was going to cost so much just to get the warehouse open before arriving? Here's where I almost lost it: When I called Monday to try and get the part and problem fixed, I mentioned to the clerk that I was not happy about the extremely steep cost for them to just to show up on Sunday. His response was ""that's what you get when you call on a Sunday brotha"". Now I am a civil person and I am loyal to a fault--I will spend more money on a business in the long run if you treat me right in the beginning. So long story short, Drake Mechanical was willing to punch me below the belt for $350+ for getting my business once and never again. FYI I was able to get the part from YMC Inc for $35 and they would only charge $35 for house calls.

So this was going to be a one star review, but I'll tell you the story of why it is not.
One day, there were drops of water falling from a doorframe in our office. Turns out the floor drain from the a/c units upstairs had pipes feeding into it that were leaking into the flooring around the drain and through the floor into our ceiling. Drake fellow comes out, makes a few little adjustments, convinces me he knows what he's talking about, I pay and he's on his way. Next afternoon, the ceiling is crying tears again. :-(
I call Drake again and give them blunt feedback about their repair man and tell them in no uncertain terms that we were not happy with the level of service and quality of repairs performed.
Drake sends out two guys this time, and they inform me that our previous repair dude is no longer with the company because of the quality of his work. These fellows proceed to make a trip for supplies and spend at least three times as much time providing a true solution to the problem, and tell me that I don't owe them another cent because it was not fixed right the first time.
They explained what they did and why, and ensured all my questions and concerns were answered. I was impressed by the integrity of these guys, and their dedication to do what it took to do the job right. Admitting that the work that was first done was poor and facing us again and making it right speaks volumes. Thank you, Drake Mechanical.

We had Drake come out to fix a gas fireplace that wasn't working. They said they fixed the problem and left and approximately four hours later I left to go to the store and came back to smell a gas leak. I called them and told them there was a problem and it took over two hours for the on-call person to call me back, at no point did they ever tell me to ventilate my house or turn off the gas or how to turn off the gas. I figured that out on my own, after my one-year-old daughter was exposed to a gas leak for over four hours. They came and said they repaired the gas leak the next morning, about an hour later I could still smell gas I called them and complained and was told a manager would call me this was on a Saturday. Nobody called. The following Thursday my husband called them and again they said a repairman out for the third time. The fireplace was not fixed our gas was turned off again and the repairman stated they would call the next day with a solution. No one called us back is been four days. I have called them several times and requested a refund I am told someone will call me back and no one returns my calls. I cannot believe that they cannot take a gas leak that they caused seriously, they will not refund our money or return our calls. I want a refund so I can get my fireplace fixed and I want to know what laws if any were broken by causing a gas leak and not fixing it this seems incredibly dangerous and it doesn't seem like anybody cares.
