Do NOT hire this guy for any septic related problem !! If I could give him a minus star, I would !! That's how bad he is !! Totally incompetent and not qualified.
He (""Rick Kohlberger) , owner also is arrogant, thinks he's an expert and totally misdiagnosed the problem. He gets very defensive when challenged, even after he is proven to be wrong !!I VERY unprofessional and becomes a total jerk when backed into a corner. I found after hiring this incompetent person , that to ""inspect"" a septic system you only need a certificate after 2 weeks of a course!!
2 week training and now you're an expert ? Please.

Do yourself a favor and hire a certified septic engineer and / or a septic installer , NOT an ""inspector"" who could NOT figure out where the water is supposed to go !!!
After getting rid of him, I hired 2 different engineers to review the ""problem"" and both said there was no problem at all!! They went further telling me this guy is a notoriously inept person that they constantly have to correct his misdiagnosis with other customers. This statement came from BOTH professionals. One called him a clown. BEWARE !!

Rick was wonderful and very patient. At first the problem was still the problem.(it was bad, very bad). He came back the next day and it was fixed. Rick is the definition of professionalism. He came all the way from Woodbury Commons to Hyde Park, NY with only a few hours notice and helped me with a septic tank jam. He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided accurate correction options and made it as affordable as possible. He then offered repair advice so I could save over a $1000-$1500 dollars and do it on my own. If ever in need of a plumbing/septic professional, go with Rick. This plumber was referred to me by an inspector I trust very much, and I'm so glad I made the call. Rick sat on the phone with me and answered some very complicated questions (he is quite knowledgeable). He has a great deal of professional integrity and was very honest. He could have easily made thousands off us but told us he would rather us handle it the right way. There should be more people out there like him. If you need plumbing or septic inspections, go to this guy! We will from now on.
