Kit & Joey spent 5 hrs. at my house today unclogging some old pipes with tough to remove clogs. Kit was very honest before he began the work by telling me that snaking the drains may put a hole in the home's old pipes. He said he'd give it a gentle try and if the drains didn't clear, he'd have to remove old pipe, replace it with new, and in the instance of the kitchen sink, reroute the pipe. Fortunately, Kip & Joey were very skilled in manipulating the blockages, and very patient,all blockages were cleared. They also replaced piping and faucets in my kitchen & bath. It was a lot of work, but they never complained. All estimates Kip quoted up front remained in place & were very fair. I'm hiring them agaIn mid-September to replace my water heater & sump pump. Thank you Kip & Joey!

Fast forward to that water heater & sump pump installation. Joey & Tuan spent and hour and a half doing the installations & they switched out a pipe in my basement tub sink. Cleaned up afterwards & did it all for a fair & reasonable price. Kit, Joey & Tuan are my plumbers for life!

Kit & Joey recently spent 3.5 hrs. at my money pit unclogging the main sewer line, installing a powder room sink faucet & new shower head as well as repairing a leaky kitchen supply line! These guys are rockstars! They never give up on the tough jobs & everything they've repaired or installed for me has been high quality work fir a fair price. Thx again Kit & Joey!

Had a backup and we couldn't use any water without flooding the basement. Happened late at night and was worried we'd be hard pressed to find someone to come out the next day. Our water was back in action by 9am the next morning. Tuan came out, fixed the problem quickly and for a great price. He was very friendly and was playful with our kids too. Will be calling them again if we have any plumbing needs.

Very happy with Drains R Us' service- of more than 10 plumbers that I called, Tuan was one of only a handful to actually respond to my phone call. He was also fantastic about keep me appraised of when he was actually coming to my place and gave me a reasonable estimate of what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He came when he said he would and took care of two clogged sinks in less than an hour, and charged far less than I would have paid another plumber. He seems like a total straight shooter and was very professional. I've got him on speed dial for the next time something goes wrong!

I asked Drains R Us to install a dishwasher and also a valve for a refrigerator. They said the cost is going to be $250 for installing a dishwasher and $150 for installing a valve. Two hours later, a plumber arrived and started working on the dishwasher. He installed dishwasher after about 90 minutes. However, there was a junction box under the former dishwasher to connect the power lines. The plumber told me that dishwasher cannot slide in completely and it would stay about 4 inches outside due to the junction box. I asked him to mount it on the wall but he refused. Ultimately, I asked him to let me pull the wires under the floor of the kitchen (in the basement) and asked him to connect the wires in the basement instead of on the kitchen (to let dishwasher slide in completely). I pulled down the wires myself and he came to the basement and connected the power lines in the junction box in the basement, instead of the kitchen. Later he charged me $75 for extra work, which is coming to the basement! He had to connect the same wires in the kitchen but when I pulled the wires to the basement and asked him to connect them in the basement he charged me an extra $75!! Later, I figured out that there was an empty space under the new dishwasher, which was enough for that junction, which means there was not any need to move that junction box!
Then, the plumber had a hard time to find the old valve for the refrigerator. He was about to cut a cold water pipe in the kitchen to create a new connection but I got him before cutting that pipe and I explain why he was wrong as there were an old valve and pipe that he needs to replace. He did not accept it, so I explained and explained and showed him why he was wrong. Finally, he accepted my point and replaced the old valve instead of cutting another pipe to install a valve
In my experience with Drain R Us, the plumber was not knowledgeable and also their price was too high. They charged me $75 extra for connecting two wires in the basement instead of in the kitchen!

While Drains R Us was able to complete a big repair on short notice, Tuan's unprofessionalism and chauvinism is what really dragged my experience down to a 1-star review.

I hired Tuan to do a pretty major recent repair. Tuan and his crew were able to complete most of the job in a day, but took a 3-hour lunch break and left me waiting in my house for them. Not a huge deal compared to what happened next. The crew wasn't able to finish the entire job, and at the end of the day, Tuan promised to come back and finish the last part of the job later in the week.

This is when things got very, very weird: Through our text interactions (of which I have saved screenshots, in case anyone ever questions whether this did indeed happen), Tuan acted very unprofessionally and would bring up my physical attractiveness. As a young female homeowner, this made me very uncomfortable. After this, I felt unsafe having Tuan return to my home to complete the job, and had to hire and pay other contractors to complete what should have been included in the original contract with Tuan. I strongly recommend against hiring Drains R Us, even though they were able to complete what seems like a pretty complicated job. Making a client uncomfortable is never okay.

As a side-note, the plumbing repair Tuan and his crew completed wasn't even done well - not even a month later, I had to have another plumbing company come in and fix what they had messed up.

Knew my buddy Tuan for a while. Hard working and honest man. Got him to install a new water heating tank for my house. He came on time and got to work. Installation was quick and very professional. He also pointed out few minor and major issues that need to be checked on. And gave me good recommendations and details on what needs to be done. He also focuses on the safety side of the issue and money wise. Price can't be beat for the work cleanliness and professionalism that he offers. You can get some one cheaper and get work done just to get it done. But you can't buy the honesty, experience he have and true professionalism. Love the man's work. Got him coming back for more work done soon. Highly recommend them to anyone with plumbing need

For years we experienced a plethora of plumbing issues at our residence. These problems were exasperated during the holidays when multiple family and friends would join us for joyful festivities. We also struggled mightily to find a reputable company who serviced our area. Thankfully, Drains R Us Plumbing rose to the challenge! We needed a very complicated excavation and pipe replacements to be completed prior to a large gathering. In the face of freezing temperatures and a sporadic snowstorm, the fellas of Drains R Us Plumbing worked diligently and with great urgency to finish a major job in 2 days.
On day one, they started ~10 am and through great determination and minimal coffee breaks, they did not leave until ~12 am! This was a welcomed stay as they had to cut the water off all day and turned it back on after excavating two 40ft + cast iron pipes and replacing each on day one.
Due to an unfortunate pitch situation, which was one of the main factors of our plumbing issues, there were multiple complications on day two. Through multiple pow-wows and obvious years of experience, their team was able to complete some major rerouting of pipes inside of the house to connect to the new external sewer line pipes.

Great company and owner. Our garbage disposal had a metal shot glass jammed in it and our sink was draining so slowly for days. The shot glass would not budge at all and another plumber told us it was beyond repair and we had to pay $500 for a new disposal. So glad I called Drains R Us, they were able to fix the problem within minutes for a fraction of the price. Amazing customer service and flexible schedule. Out of all the options in Philly, these guys are the best!
