Jeff D.Great company with great employees. I would highly recommend Drain Tech for your plumbing needs. 10 STARS!!!
I had a negative experience with a company called drain Tech. I hired them to clear a main drain. They showed up and augured the line. Within hours of them leaving the line was clogged again. Water was running over the toilets and backing up in the shower. When I called the company I was told they ran into some complications while they were there and they would not use the same type of equipment again in my drains. They would be willing to come back out with a new type of equipment and charge me another $425. I figured since they obviously didn't get it right the first time I should hire a different company.
I hired any hour plumbing and they responded. Any hour plumbing was able to clear the drain with the same type of equipment the first company used. Here's the kicker. Any hour plumbing told me they offer a 30-day guarantee on the line they cleared. This got me wondering why the first company doesn't offer something like this. When I called and talked with the owner he told me they do offer a 30 day guarantee but not for lines which are in such a ""shitty"" condition as mine are. Mind you, this was nearly in the same breath as him telling me that his company handled my account professionally.
I told him that I understood there were man hours put in at my house but the job did not get done properly and I had to hire a different company to get it done so I felt like I should not have to pay them. I asked him to cut his losses and move on. He disagreed with me and told me I needed to pay the bill.
I was recommended to use this company by a friend of my parents who is a plumber. I called this plumber to let him know what type of company he is attaching his name to. He told me he would not be referring any more people to them. I would not recommend using drain Tech.
I had another company (Roto Rooter) come out last night to scope the sewer line prior to the sell of the home. They cleaned up a couple spots where roots had come through the joint then told us (and the buyers) that there was a complete blockage and the only way to fix it is to excavate all the way to the main line in the middle of the street. With the price around $5,000. So we decided to get another opinion. I spoke with Stephanie at Drain Tech for about 15 minutes where she listed other options that we could try before we dig up the entire line. She very open and honest and gave prices up front. She was able to a technician lined up for the next morning.
Eli came out and was able to have the line cleared using the hydro-jetter within minutes. He provided a detailed invoice explaining what was done and how many feet until the main line. He also provided a dvd with footage of the scope explaining everything we were seeing at the time. His expertise saved us 5K.
I contacted another company first and then waited around for nearly 10 hours. After taking the day off work and needing a shower, I called Drain Tech instead. Within two hours the job was done! My only regret is that I didn't call sooner.
Victoria M.These guys are amazing & affordable. Call them for your plumbing needs! Communication is awesome. They're flexible and able to come out the same day. Will definitely use them again!
Andrew B.Sean sent out ryan who was able to locate the issue. he went above and beyond and I appreciate them making this right!! Would call again
Drain Tech was great to work with. They were out to my house within an hour of calling for their service. The technicians were very knowledgeable and friendly, I would recommend them to anyone!!
My wife and I recently moved in to our new house in Kaysville, UT. There was a main line blockage and our home warranty recruited Drain Tech to come clear the blockage. While the technician had the main floor toilet pulled, he flushed the basement toilet and sewage began coming up and out of the main floor toilet drain. Eventually his manager determined that I had a sewage pump (not to be confused with a sump pump) in the house and that is what caused the backup. The sewer water ruined flooring/trim on the main floor as well as damaged our finished basement. The manager and owner of Drain Tech are refusing to cover damages because I should've somehow known that there was a sewage pump in the house and warned the technician. If I had known enough about sewage systems to know there was a sewer pump, I wouldn't have needed to call a professional to clear my main line blockage. My personal home insurance estimated the damage to be over $9000 and is in the process of subrogating the cost back to Drain Tech's insurance.
Ricky L.Drain Tech is a Business second to none, I have had several other drain cleaning/repair businesses do work for me and honestly most were pretty darned good. However this time was a little stressful for me and Sean and his teams were spot on with Quick response time, courteous and caring service, not pressing for the up-sale, or pushing additional or unnecessary services or products, Sean's employees showed deep respect for their Boss and that is a quality I respect. The price was more than fair for the extra effort required for this most difficult project. I know a lot of homeowners and I will most assuredly be recommending this Business to all my friends, family and co-workers. Thanks Sean (Shipmate). And thank you for your service to our nation. Always searching to be doing business wit Veterans. Fair Winds and following seas.
Darlie W.We called a different plumber to snake our drain. They said that they had to jack hammer through our floor to remove an obstruction. The quote was for just under $3,000! Thankfully, my husband called drain tech for a second opinion. They showed up within the hour and had our drain cleared in less than ten minutes. Saved us a ton of money and headache. Thanks Drain Tech!!!!!!!
