I don't usually leave reviews but reading the ones here I feel like this company has issues when a home warranty is involved. I had a water hammer that we've been trying to have fixed for a while. The pressure regulator was replaced by Rentmeister and the noise came back. My warranty company sent out Drain surgeons for the second attempt. The sound always started at my kitchen sink which was leaky and had low water pressure, then would move along the pipes to the rest of the house even to my upstairs toilet..I don't remember the name of the plumber who came out but he basically told me it was really weird and he wasn't sure what was wrong but recommended an expansion tank to fix the pressure issue. I tried to tell him I wasn't comfortable with paying an additional $175 dollars for something we didn't have when everything was working and to come up with a different solution. He didn't have one but said he feels this will fix it it, even though he didn't really know what was wrong. He called his boss and his boss agreed. I let them install the expansion tank and 6 hours later the sound came back worse and my kitchen sink now had a constant stream instead of a leaky drip. I would like to add that i tried to explain that I believed it was something with my kitchen sink and if he could at least take a look. He told me it wasn't on the ticket and he couldn't do it. After the sound came back my warranty company contacted them to come back out and they wouldn't. They told my warranty company that it must be a loose pipe and my drywall would have to be ripped apart to find it. My warranty company doesn't cover that and that didn't make sense as water hammer is a pressure surge from water being force to stop too quickly, usually from a faulty or old valve or seal somewhere. I asked for a second opinion and my warranty company sent Rentmeister back out. The new new plumber was awesome and listened to everything I was explaining and agreed that if it starts at the sink and its leaky and has low water pressure the issue is most likely to be that I need the faucet and the shut off valves underneath the sink replaced since they were super old and a bit rusty. They replaced the parts at my kitchen sink. I paid for an upgraded Moen faucet and everything is fixed. No sound anywhere in my house and water pressure is back in my sink. I am really frustrated that Drain surgeons wouldn't take into consideration anything I was saying and sold me a part that didn't fix the problem and then refused to come back and look at it so we could resolve the issue. I do not recommend this company. It was a waste of my time and money. I was happy to pay the additional price with a solution that made sense but this company would not listen or even attempt to work with me to fix the issue. In the future I will always request to not have Drain Surgeons come out to help with any plumbing issues.
I was assigned Drain Surgeons through my Landmark Home Warranty. Randy got to my house 15 minutes earlier than the service window, which would usually be great, but I was still on my way home from work. He acted rude and inconvenienced.
I had been having issues with my basement toilet flushing. Tried everything, including replacing the existing toilet, and it still had water bubbles coming up so I decided to call in a professional.
Within 1 minute of walking in, literally, before even hearing what was going on, what we had tried, anything, he decided that ""the toilet handle just needs to be held down longer because of the type of toilet."" I explained that the old toilet was not high efficiency (which is what he was blaming), so that doesn't make sense. He tried no other options.
Upon leaving, he told me that it could possibly be an issue with the vent and that he did see air coming into the toilet. But that it wasn't covered by the warranty.
Okay. I called in a plumber to fix the issue, that I would pay for, not for some hacky workaround that doesn't even work. He informed me that this was ""the 10th one this month with this issue."" Okay, man... maybe there's an actual problem versus just ""needing to hold down the handle longer.""
I would highly recommend not working with this company if you want a real diagnosis and a real resolution. I've also filed a complaint with the warranty company to get them removed from the list of vendors.
Keith or Heath came out, looked at our problem, called our warranty company to see if it was covered. It wasn't. We still wanted them to do the job but they left, didn't let us know. Made up a lie that my husband kicked them off the property, which wasn't true, we wanted them to fix it anyway. We think it is because getting to the leak would be a lot of work and Keith or Heath didn't want to do it (move stackable washer and dryer), etc. Next time admit you don't want to do it instead of slandering someone

Very slow to respond. They don't open till 9. I needed a water heater I had my warranty company make an appointment for me Wednesday night, thinking I could get a new water heater installed Thursday. I called 3 times Thursday morning 8:30(not open, very aggravating) again at 9:30 and 10:30. Finally at 11am they call back. And they are located in UT county, I am in Salt Lake County (50miles). They can't look at it until Monday. So I would have not have had hot water for 6 days. Forget that. I called Drain Busters and got it replaced in one day.
Onslow P.Called these guys after a friend referred them. Spoke with someone named Nathan. He scheduled me for a couple days out, which is perfectly fine. All I wanted was for them to come check a slow drain for me. So I took the day off work. He called me at 8:30 am the morning he was supposed to come and confirmed I would still be there between 11 and 2. So far so good, right?
At about 12:30 pm he calls and says that he is in Logan and doesnt think he'll be making it anymore then the phone immediately disconnects. I called my friend who referred me and asked if they knew what was up. She called him and and asked why he cancelled. I get a text from Nathan about 20 minutes later that read, ""sorry for the inconvenience but we cant make it and I didn't know if you would be home during the time frame anyway.""
I texted back and reminded him that he called earlier in the morning and confirmed I would be there but not to worry about it because I would rather call someone who valued my time anyway.
Elle P.We recently purchased a home in Lehi, and have a home warranty through Landmark.
When our main floor guest bath toilet broke down in a Thursday morning we contacted the warranty company. We received an email letting us know
""based on their quality scores, speed of service and proximity to your home, we've selected ... Drain Surgeons to address the issue and they have been notified.""
When we did connect with Drain Surgeon's staff we were told they would not come out until Monday.
That's four days without use of the toilet.
When my husband told the girl at the the other end of the phone, that wasn't acceptable. Her response was something to effect of ""well, do you have other toilets? Are they working? We don't consider this to be an emergency.""
So, yeah, thanks but no thanks.
Who said anything about an emergency? We just wanted timely and efficient service. And for our guests not have to walk upstairs to use a toilet.
Boo.
And also to that warranty company.
We ended up paying out of pocket to have our situation remedied timely by the plumbing service we had at our previous location.
Fast, friendly service both on the phone and in our home.
But not from Drain Surgeons.
Your phone staff needs a check up!
worse job i have ever had. They came out ot fix a hose bib and didnt fix it, charge me to come out again to fix it a second time, now water has leaked into myu basement wher i know have mold and they came out and sealed the exterior hose bib that they replaced!!! why wasnt this sealed to begin with??? they also scheduled an apointment and failed to show saying the problem is fixed without even looking at my basement and the water and mold!! I would NOT recommend these guys to anyone! I cant give less than a star i would give negative! this lack of repair has now cost me a lot of money!
Mary B.First, let me say, to be fair, that I have not contacted this company for a follow-up. I have not done so because I'm so skeptical about them after the overall disappointment concerning the work done. Also, it has been a long time since work performed and simply just want to try another company. The work was done in my mother's home. I live in Ohio and was not here to see that there were issues. My mom became ill shortly after service and became bedridden, therefore, she didn't use the faucets, etc. (I was here visiting at the time of service which I initiated.)
My mom passed in March and I have been living in her home, more or less, since then to clean it out and do necessary repairs and so on. I can see now that there are issues with all three faucets. The bathroom and kitchen faucets have zero water pressure. So low that I can hardly do dishes by hand because it takes so long just to rinse a dish off. There is no pressure issues any where else in the entire house. I grew up in this home and there has always been fantastic pressure. (Yes, I tried turning it up at the shut off underneath)
The kitchen and bathtub faucets are really cheap. Junk really. The bathroom faucet, which is a Price Pfister (provided by my mom), is not tightened down enough and so it's wobbly. Not something that I can fix because I don't have the correct tool or ability to lay on the ground to reach up underneath. The bathtub faucet hot and cold handles are so tight that it's a struggle to turn them on and off. The cap on the hot falls off every time it's used. I can't imagine my sweet mom trying to do this with her arthritic hands.
The services provided at the time included faucet replacement in the kitchen, bathroom sink and tub, as well as the primary issue which was a leaking pipe in basement. We have had no issues with the repair of the pipe in basement.
Tom H.Where to start? My warranty company referred Nate from Drain Surgeons to come find my water leak. The first time he shows up he doesnt look for the leak and then puts about 20 bucks worth of chemicals down my drain for 65 bucks. Doesn't fix the issue. So i call my warranty company to have it fixed and they send him again. He asks where the water is at (well everywhere now) he determines its a drain pipe leak and i get slammed with a new charge from a mitigation team he recommends for a category 3 (waste water removal) My carpet, baseboards, and wall were DESTROYED for NO REASON. IT WASNT EVEN THE DRAIN WHERE THE LEAK WAS. The mitigation team determined it came from the water heater. The third time i call my warranty company they set it up that he would come out and change the water heater. Mind it was turned off so now I have no hot water. This scam of a company calls me and says Nate is sick and the earliest he could come is Saturday to fix the water heater. At this point I had it. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!
