Leah S.Full disclosure: I didn't end up working with Drain Pro, but I want to commend them for their excellent customer service.
I noticed my drain was backing up in the basement late Thursday evening, and left a voicemail with Drain Pro. They promptly returned my call and scheduled me for Saturday AM. I ended up using another plumbing service and had completely forgotten about my appointment until they called to tell me they were on their way. The gentleman took my last minute cancellation in stride.
This may sound trivial, but given my previous experience with contractors, how they respond to service requests and cancellations says a lot about a business. He was very understanding and professional. Because of that experience, I would gladly work with them the next time I need to clear out the drain (which will likely happen in the next 6-12 months).
First off, these guys are fast!
I have had two occasions where Raman has shown up, given me an estimate, and work is done all within a matter of days.
I am very happy with the quality of work they do, and I really appreciate the quick response and quick work.
Never had to call a drain cleaning service before, so it's hard for me to compare.
Our kitchen sink failed to clear with the standard drain cleaners and a 15' snake, so I called this company. The fellow who came out, Raymond, was professional, showed up in the time slot they said they would and did the job fairly quickly. I like that they said they'd be there between 12pm-1-pm. Why can't other companies (cable!) give a narrow time slot like that?
Raman is awesome! To begin, Raman entered my home wearing shoe covers, which started everything off on the right foot. :-). He was quick to access the problem, a faulty valve behind the shower, and offered two remedies and cost options. Once we decided on a plan of action, he fetched the replacement parts and went to work repairing the leak with efficiency and expertise. He did a fantastic job installing the new shower parts, and it looks great. He is straight forward, trustworthy, very personable, honest, and extremely experienced. I highly recommend Raman Singh with Drain Pro! Thanks again, Raman!
Rip Off! Had them come out for a downspout clog that was back-flowing into my crawl space. Their guy spent about 10 minutes pressure spraying through my curb drain and then just gave up. I had to pay nearly $400 for the 2 hour minimum service and got no resolution. The technician said he had no idea what to do but he knew they have a division of the company that works these things if I waited till next week to call. That's it! Thanks for the money! Good luck!
Terrific experience with Raman at Drain Pro. Found him through www.porch.com service and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Fixed our toilet issue in less than an hour --- very professional (even put booties on his feet) and the price was very reasonable. Happy to recommend him.
Bao N.I love to have ""my guy"" when it comes to things that I can't handle myself. I like knowing that I can point this person in the direction of the problem, hand them a credit card, and just KNOW that things are going to be done right for a fair price.
I have a guy for auto body work.
I have a guy for real estate.
I have a guy for finance.
I have my mechanic guy (actually a woman)...
You get the point.
I can now say that I have my plumbing guy.
I recently needed to replace 2 valves behind my washing machine. They were old, and needed to be replaced before a new washer could be installed. I called one of the large, heavily advertised, plumbing companies because I needed it to be done quickly. Big mistake. Those guys ended up installing two valves that leaked, charged 3x what DrainPro later quoted me, and insisted that they charge me again to come out and take a look at what went wrong with their initial installation. After looking on Angie's List and talking to a few friends, I found Raman at DrainPro. Raman came out, fixed the high pressure issue in my place, fixed both valves that were FUBARed by the previous plumber, and gave me an overall quote that was 40% less than what the Big Plumbing Company (TM) wanted to charge me. His wasn't the lowest quote; but I just felt better about going with somebody whom my friends have used personally. I'm so glad I did.
Bottom line: I trust Raman with my plumbing and my checkbook. I whole-heartedly recommend DrainPro if you have plumbing needs.
Also, when he came out to work on my condo, the dude was rocking a Seahawks hat the day after the 2015 Superbowl. It hurt my soul; but he's a true fan.
Drain Pro installed a new toilet at my house. I bought my toilet on Amazon and there were 3 different companies listed that had good referrals and estimates for install. I choose Drain Pro due to the high recommendations and they were the lowest price. They were flexible in scheduling the install and showed up on time. There was an issue with the wax ring that was sent with the product and would have caused longer term leaks. The individual from Drain Pro rearranged his schedule so he could go to Home Depot to pick up a different product that would ensure I didn't have future problems. He installed it and everything is working great. He was informative, courteous, and provided excellent service. I will definitely use Drain Pro for any future plumbing needs.
K B.My story starts with Roto Rooter. Upon discovery that my sewer clean out was backing up, I called Roto Rooter. He was here less than an hour, could only get 20 feet, handed me a stack of estimates if I want further work done and charged me $569.00 (don't call them). I began the process of getting bids for a spot repair. Gene Johnson pluming bought my request from A+ Sewer Technologies and scheduled a time. Once here (remember, I was only looking for estimates), the tech Phil SWORE he could clear the line, was ADAMENT that he could clear the line, 97% sure he could clear the line. He got as far as Roto Rooter and succeeded in breaking off the bit at the end of the snake...so now that's in the line to, charging me $300.00. He felt bad, so he came out the next day to mark the line and discovered another potential problem at the clean out five feet from the sidewalk. He thought maybe I was on septic and called the city....really. He sent me an open ended bid for 5 foot spot repair $2300.00 escalating if any further issues were found. I then got two more bids from NW Sewer and Drain Pro Pluming. I went with Drain Pro Pluming for a 3ft repair and line flush $1800.00.
Turns out the Cotton Wood tree I removed in September (I have only lived here 3 months) five feet from the line had completely destroyed 30 feet of sewer line. The additional bid for 30 foot replacement was $5700.00. Now, just from the 3 foot explore, they knew three things...there were roots, there were utilities and there were rocks. Next day, they rented a backhoe (I was surprised they didn't have one) and started digging. They got five feet from the sidewalk and encountered roots 9 inches thick which required a chain saw to remove (also rented). They then hired a truck to ""suck"" dirt out on the other side of the utility lines (supposedly $700.00-never did see the invoice). Hook up completed after two days of tough work( unbeknownst to me, with the exception of the inspection, they were done working). Now they want more money because it was such a ""tough job"", oh and it was raining one day which made them miserable while they were working. Raman said no one would have taken this job, I was lucky to have him and it's going to cost me more, ""I hate North Bend"", ""I'm never coming back here"". I guess escalating costs are not unusual in this trade, but it was a shock to me, so buyers beware. Additional $2880.00 incl. tax with no prior notification until the hook up was completed and they were essentially done with me. Communication was shockingly poor. Price escalation was never discussed with me or I would have chosen differently.
Drain Pro has left a 60 yr old Grandmother with no money and a 30X3X5 foot trench to fill in because Drain Pro Plumbing (I'm guessing) does not have a backhoe, and I received no price cut for this, also stuck me with site cleanup (mountain of plastic sheathing, containers of sewage, sheets of plywood and broken apparatus, I wish I could post pictures-you'd be shocked). Total cost $11,000 (for 3 days work and job not completed), and LOTS of drama. (Yes, $2840.00 over their promise). Just got my shovel and wheelbarrow today, wish me luck!
Joju E.Raman was responsive and was easy to schedule an appointment. After he was here, he was prompt and efficient with getting the work done. He was mindful of wearing shoe cover when he was inside the house. I had a single piece toilet replaced which I had bought through Amazon. I would highly recommend him again!
