I was very disappointed about the service I got from Drain Master yesterday to come empty my septic tank. The Technician has little experience, was unprepared and didn't have the proper tools to locate the tank, or put enough effort to get the job done. The fees were not disclosed upfront. They charged me $145 for getting nothing done. What a waste of money..Don't use Drain Masters for your plumbing or septic needs.

Drain Masters was sent to my home by my home warranty company because I wasn't getting water to my disabled sons bathroom. The first plumber came out and determined that the water line was clogged with debris and left because the required work had to be approved by my warranty company. They called me a few days later and told me that the job would be over $1200 and that my warranty company would pay all but $680. So we schedules the job and they came out and finished in less than 3 hours. But they charged me a full four hours at $115 per hour. When I asked why I was told that they charged me for a full hour hour of labor for the two guys going in Ace Hardware and spending less that 10 minutes buying six valves to install for the job. Because they were on the job. But no real explanation as to why I was charged for a full hours labor for 10 minutes shopping time. And $200 for the six valves. I was informed that this was standard practice and that they had done me a favor by not charging me for drive time and travel time. Two different things according to them. And that as soon as they got in their vehicle and turned on the gps to head to my home they were on the job. i always thought that your time started when you were actually on the job and not before. But they're coming up with more and more ways to gouge the customers these days. And on top of that they charged $20 for the ""privilege"" of paying my bill with a debit card. The woman I was talking to actually laughed at me and told me they were doing me a favor. That they could have charged me more. I would ever use Drainmaster again!

We have used Drain Masters twice. First was showers in our recently purchased home had no water pressure. They were scheduled by the home warranty company. They came out that day and determined the problem. It took a few days to get the part,. They kept us in the loop. The second time, we had two toilets replaced,. The company sent by Lowes did great on the first one, but the 2nd one was cracked, so they took it back to Lowes. We heard nothing for over a week. I finally called Lowes who called River Valley Plumbing to find out what happened. River Valley Plumbing finally showed up with a new toilet. The plumber they sent did a very, very poor job. First, he managed to stain our carpet with some yellow stuff we haven't managed to get out of the carpet. I called and complained and they sent a second plumber, who still left us with a wobbly, loose toilet. This is when I called Drain Masters. They sent a plumber who reinstalled the toilet, seating it correctly and checking his work. So go with Drain Masters!!

Drain Master charges a 3.5 per cent surcharge for using card to pay for services on top of the charges. I would not use them if they were the only plumbing company. Should not price gouge customer.

I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone in need of their service! I called and spoke with Stephanie two days ago after another company pulled a no call/no show. Stephanie was friendly, answered my questions, and scheduled the appointment, no problem. Today she called to let me know the technician was on his way and he arrived in no time. He was polite, answered questions, professional, efficient, and punctual! An A+ all the way!
If you need reliable plumbing service, I would not hesitate to tell you to give them a call!

I would be very careful using this plumber. The original quote was for $250 the final bill was 573.
No extra work was performed during the call. Technician explained the difference as a miscommunication and that they begin charging their hourly rate when they go to the store to get the necessary parts.
Technician arrived at our house at 9 a.m. finish the work by 11. Labor was itemized at 356 dollars. Parts 175.
Work seem to be performed correctly and in a timely manner. technician was polite and courteous.
Be careful about the difference between quoted price and actual amount you will be charged. I suggest you ask lots of questions and get a firm quote.
