Deb M.We had backup issues at the start of the holiday weekend, so by Monday morning we made several calls. While Drainmasters was higher in price they were available and we had used them last year. BIG MISTAKE! I would rate -5 stars if it were possible. We did not uncover the tank because same company had just pumped it 12 months ago. Instead of going through the tight space in the basement, the worker decided to try to find the holding tank for access. Rather than using a metal detector, or waiting for the homeowner to uncover the tank, he used a sharp metal rod to try to locate it and started digging. Finding only a pipe and not the tank, he resorted to the basement for access. Great, drain unclogged but camera indicates septic does need pumping already (that alone is mind boggling since it does not have much use in 12 months). We go to uncover the tank so it can be pumped and find a glimpse of the pipe he mentioned and swept away loose dirt to find a nice round hole in the PVC pipe...hmmm perhaps a metal rod?? Who uses a metal rod in someone's yard anyway? Ridiculous. Called company, reported the problem. Still waiting on that courtesy phone call from the owner...first picture as we found it, second a closer look after clearing dirt around the pipe. Now more money to pay someone else pumping and repair, what the heck.
