We had a sewer pipe break under our home, causing the sewage water from three units to spill into the crawlspace. The first emergency plumber we called made the problem worse and let us know he did not have the right equipment to help us. We had similar luck with several other plumbers that we were connected with through our home warranty company. Finally, we decided to go outside of the warranty and called Drain Masters, which was the right call. Chris and his team came to our rescue and were able to fully resolve the issue in a few hours and even found a clean out pipe in the front that had been buried. Drain Masters are truly experts in the field and I cannot recommend them enough.

Updating my review, to add in again how Chris & Ian have gone above and beyond again. Their knowledge, patience, and stand up ethics make them one of our top suppliers.

Please note Drain Masters has been in business for decades in Santa Barbara and are NOT to be confused with an entirely different company in Oxnard area that took their same name. They have no connection & even a review was posted to them that was for Oxnard. SBA DrainMasters are doing what they can to remedy this, but just be very aware and ensure it is Ian and Chris D. in SBA.

Family run business...former fire fighters and some extended family are still with the service. Support local, support well run ethical companies like DrainMasters.

Happy to answer any questions on what we had done etc. I loved their use of cameras, can do attitude and idea for a catch system. Chris also had a solution for our weeping drains on side of house that caused discoloration on the paint. I wish more companies were like DrainMasters Santa Barbara. Thank you!

Quoted me $1600 and told me only a hydrojet would fix my kitchen sink pipe blockage. Got another opinion thankfully and the other company fixed my blockage fot $300 without a hydrojet. Anecdotally, my friend told me they had a similar experience with Drainmaster and, unfortunately, didn't get another quote.

We are super impressed by the service we received from Drain Masters of Santa Barbara. We had a serious drainage problem. Chris Dorn and his team shuffled their work to get here, diagnose and fix the problem within 24 hours of our initial call. All of his technicians are knowledgeable, polite and highly skilled. I needed to have an inspection of a downspout pipe that went underground. The pipe had been capped off, and the previous owner of my home replaced it by attaching the downspout to a different, cheap pipe. It looked like an amateurish kludge to me. So I assumed that the pipe that was capped off was blocked.

I wanted an expert who understood drainage and had the necessary inspection equipment. So I contacted Drain Masters based on prior reviews and expertise in drainage as listed by the company.

Ian from the company performed an optical inspection on both the capped off pipe and the ""kludgy"" pipe. He pushed his optical inspection camera into both pipes and discovered that both pipes daylighted around 50 - 75 feet away in around the same area (on the side of a hill). He did not find any obstruction in either pipe.

In addition, he inspected some area drains that led to the capped off pipe and verified that they were also unobstructed. Although neither Ian nor I can figure out why the ""kludgy"" pipe was installed to begin with (and why the original pipe was capped), I am happy that at least the mystery about whether both pipes worked was solved. Based on Ian's inspection, I will probably uncap the original pipe, redirect the downspout to it and abandon the kludgy pipe.

While Ian worked, I continued to ask him questions about my exterior home drainage, and he was happy to answer me and give me his expert opinion. I found Ian to be extremely competent, honest and a delight to interact with.

I would like to give Drain Masters my highest rating.

Ian came the minute I called, as my toilets were all backed up. I had a deteriorated pipe in the sewer line. Plus he installed a clean-out. Stayed on the job til it was fixed. Excellent clean up too. Very conscientious and professional. Definitely recommended.
