I needed a new water pressure regulator installed. Arnold was on time, friendly, and talked me through everything he was doing. As a new homeowner, I really appreciate it when the experts help me the way he did. I'll definitely call him again for any future plumbing needs!

These guys are awesome. I had an overflow leak coming from the washer drain (2nd story). It connected to the upstairs bathroom (3rd story), so every time we showered, we would see water coming out at the washer drain. Thinking it was just a clog, I researched Yelp and called DD. They sent Alex to come by to check it out and discovered what I didn't want to hear, a collapse in the pipe. He showed proof, but I didn't want to fix the main drain lines because it would be expensive. Since it was still draining in the house, I said no thanks. They gave me the quote for the job and two days later the problem popped up again. This time, I called and told them to just fix it.

They tore down to the concrete/walls. I was disheartened about the fact that we had to get a jack hammer and tear up the floors. After getting to the pipe, the issue with the clog was tree roots. Alex was right as he indicated earlier that the issues was near the area they were jack hammering. Doug and Alex showed me proof when they took out the pipe. They fixed everything and patched up the concrete.

I was so impressed with the quality of work they do They are very and how professional and courteous. I don't normally write reviews, but these guys were straight up and honest with me, with great communication throughout the whole ordeal. Two days to fix the problem. I'm very fortunate to found these guys off Yelp. Hopefully this review will persuade others. Thanks Alex, Danny, & Doug. You guys are the reason I'm writing this review.

Note: Alex, thanks for switching out the hot and cold lines for me. Appreciate it that.

Excellent service. Our regular plumber would not call back despite having texted, and leaving voicemails on mobile and business. Drain Doctor, like a breath of fresh air, answered right away, promised appointment time and came right on time. Reviewed issue and gave way to resolve without asking for any payment for the visit. We now have a new plumber, thank you.

EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNER: NO-
I CLEARLY asked you if you guarantee the WORK..as in if I pay you to snake and clear the drain will can you guarantee that if you leave we will still not have a back up. I even followed that by telling you that **we ONLY NEEDED enough clearance to get the water moving even if it wasnt fully cleared** so basically I literally said can you do ""just enough to get by"" (that's a pretty easy pass on extra work) because my husband and uncle can do the work re the roots and pipes ...therefore *we were ONLY In need of someone with a snake*. You CLEARLY said there was no way you can guarantee your work...and you did NOT specify that you meant for just root issues.
So- for that price could u guarantee *enough* JUST to get my still water moving (or are u leaving with full payment and not giving it one more try-type of situation). That's all. If you didnt have a little bit of an attitude (I seriously think you just dont hear it in your voice but maybe start paying attention to that) then you may have noticed that your response HERE was suddenly more detailed than on the phone. It was your tone that made a huge difference. Another company quoted more after the call with you and I actually would have hired him if he wasnt booked up- because (just like I told him) he was the nicest one and the most detailed. It built trust. And I value that over anything else when hiring someone.
I have no reason or ulterior motive to come here and ""leave parts out of my story"" as you claim. What would I gain from that? Absolutley Nothing! I called maybe 10 different companies for quote comparisons and you are the only one I decided to Yelp about. So obviously the phone experience alone was sub par. Have an amazing night. Get some (needed) rest. Im.aure you are an amazing plumber but not the right fit for us. And that's ok. ;)

I called and asked about their special (postcard uploaded on yelp less than a yr ago - $85 to fix any drain clog anytime)

The guy said he had NO idea what I was talking about. I said it was on yelp. And after some back and forth he finally ""remembered"" and he said ""oh maybe you saw a postcard? That's not valid. That was many many years ago"" (no, it was less than a year ago but...ok...whatever)

Ok....so then I ask ""can you guarantee your work, if I pay you to unclog the drain can you guarantee it will be unclogged when you leave?"" (If your going to charge me in the hundreds you quoted I want to make sure you wont leave and the problem persists but you get full payment and give up)also I literally said ""at least unclogged enough for the still water to drain"" (my family can do the work we literally just needed someone to snake the drain for us because we dont have the big snake)..... He said NO.... he NEVER guarantees the work! Well, I went on his website after hanging up and I guess he forgets that he guarantees work on his website! (See pic)

Anyway....then he started getting a little condescending and had a bit of an attitude so I said thank you and I just hung up.

He has lots of great reviews...maybe he is a great plumber. In fact, I'm sure he is if he has so many decent reviews, I dont know.

All I know is that he wouldn't honor his postcard price (ok, maybe prices changed but dont lie and say it was YEARS ago and that you dont even remember that just flat out say ""I'm sorry that's is an old social that we no longer run"") but WORSE OFF he wouldn't honor his website claim and guarantee his work...so that's just sounds a little shady. My review therefore is not on his work (again, maybe hes amazing.... its possible) it's on his character. Honor your word and practice a little customer service... attitude over the phone when I'm being super nice the whole time is not a way to win someone over and get customers. Maybe you have tons now so you dont care to lose one... but eventually it catches up. Oh..and take your guarantee off your site...that lie will just get you on the Peoples Court.

I don't really post yelp reviews but I had such a good experience with Arnold and Alex that I feel like I have to let everyone know.

We recently closed on a house and immediately found a leak. Arnold was very accommodating and was able to schedule a free in home consultation the next day. I asked them to call me about 30 mins before they are on their way so I can leave from work and meet them at my new house. Not only did Alex called me exactly 30 mins before his arrival, he was also on time! He gave me a great price to fix the leaking regulator. I also had a leaking faucet outside in the garden and he offered to fix it for me at no extra charge!

Our home warranty requested that someone from the plumbing company call them so they can authorize transaction for reimbursement. Arnold called twice for me and was on hold for 30 plus mins each time. Even though he wasn't able to speak to anyone from home warranty, he went above and beyond what he needed to do to help my husband and me!

Alex showed up a week later (on time) to fix our leaking regulator and did a beautiful job. He ended up charging me a price lower than what he quoted me and did everything he promised he would do (including fixing the faucet in the garden!). Not to mention he's super friendly too.

I'm really pleasantly surprised by my experience with them. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know!

Needed a plumber for a stubborn clogged drain. Arnold was very quick to respond to my messages and set up an appointment for the next day.
Alex showed up on time, was professional and polite, and quickly cleared out the issue. Great service and would recommend the company and use them again in the future.

In my moment of panic, Drain Doctors came through BIG TIME! First off, I reached out to this business because they have one of the quickest response times on Yelp; I heard back from them almost instantly. Second, they sent out a plumber right away and considering it was late afternoon, I'm glad they didn't brush me off until the next day like other businesses would. Third, our plumber, ALEX, was exceptional - skilled, professional and gave knowledgeable advice. His work was clean and thorough, so it's obvious that he takes pride in excellent workmanship. I would not hesitate to call on Alex and Drain Doctors again for our plumbing needs.

Did not live up to warranty. Said he was tired of coming out because he had to return 3 times. First, because he failed to snake the kitchen line, so when I used the washing machine it flooded my bathroom and bedroom rug. Second time because the bathtub filled with gunk he had to snake, again. Finally, the shower filled with gunk and so he came again. Said he would not come again, need new pipes for $500 dollars.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT trust this place! I'll take a couple of paces back, and say get a second opinion because some of the ""experts"" that come out to give you a quote are not trustworthy. I won't speak on how well they do the job, but I will speak on their morales and ethics. I asked for them to come out to check out a faucet smell, and I was told I had to repipe, yes repipe, my entire house because I have galvanized pipes instead of cooper. Guess what happened when I asked a family friend plumber for a second opinion? He told me that my pipes are already cooper, and the guy was trying to swindle me. I have zero knowledge of plumbing, but I'm not an idiot to not get 2nd and 3rd opinion. Did he think I was going to give him cash, and have him start working on the spot??? This was a disgusting display of them deceiving and trying to take advantage of me. I wonder how many other people they deceived to get a job...
