For many years, we used a sole proprietor plumber for our repair needs. When he sold out his business to Drain Doctors, I was worried that we would no longer receive the personal support and response we were used to. I was wrong. Drain Doctors has proved to us on many occasions now, that they very much value our business and they strive to put our needs and the needs of our tenants first. Plus, they have a big enough staff to be able to respond to emergencies in a very timely manner. Between our business, our home and our rental property, Drain Doctors has earned our respect. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I had to replace all the supply lines and piping in my 50 year old house with modern pipes. Drain Doctor did the job quickly and well. Not overly well but the price was very fair for the amount of work put in. Hard to find competent people now a days but Drain Doctor fills the bill.

These guys were terrific! Not only were they the only 24/7 plumbers who actually responded on a Sunday night, they fixed the problem with our sewer and then told us to call the city to get reimbursed because the issue was in the city sewer line. The charge was very reasonable, and the city has already said it will pay the bill. Responsible, efficient and honest - how often can you say that about a service company?

Drain doctors saved my sanity after waiting for 3 months for home depot's installers (Richey trucking) to install our dishwasher we called Drain doctor and David was able to install it without any problems. After a few bumps (Horrible experiences 2 Plumbers & 1 Contractor) I came across Drain Doctors. The reviews on YELP were spot on, I can say after having my 1st visit. I am SO glad I went with them. Unfortunately, I guess the bad one's lead me to the good one. Very costly mistake, indeed.
As a single female and home owner I have found finding quality, Honest, Humble, Experienced Tradesmen quite challenging. Beware there ARE a lot of licensed con artists out there. Men who destroy your home from within and take your money in the process. Always research!
That's where Drain Doctor's come in to play. I looked into their history a bit. There wasn't anything unpleasant that I found. All great comments left from the local folk. Plus!
So I called. An appointment was set a couple days away. Gary showed on the day of appointment. Clean cut, very polite. He 'listened'. I'm sorry, but I've found that not all men will listen. He walked with me through the house I explained the issue.
It started out as water from an upstairs restroom caused water to come out a light socket downstairs, in my garage. No where near a water source. I called 2 wreckless plumbers (1@atime, of course) and wound up with a much larger mess, with more to fix than when I started.
Stay away from Power & J errys ! Your wallet & sanity will thank you.
The latter came out 3 times and still didn't resolve the issue. But he got paid! The man whom came out I found out had a horrible anger issue. I felt intimidated in my own home. This prolonged me getting my plumbing issue fixed sooner. I was a bit freaked out after.
Well, to shorten a long drawn out story.. I found out just how bad my plumbing issue was one night this last week. An emergency hit in the wee early morning hours and I used the toilet upstairs. The one that caused water out the light socket. And well, 'it' came up into the shower drain across from the toilet, after 1st flushing. NOooooo!
I did due diligence, I turned to Youtube. Cause you know, You can learn a lot there.. most times. But nothing I tried made a difference. No to liquid soap, baking soda, nor vinegar.. nor did plunging.
When Gary showed for the appointment and after I told him all that happened and ... what I did. I asked him his recourse. I agreed and got out of his way. I watched to try to understand what was wrong with my plumbing.. OH MY GOSH!
The turd, who got paid 3 times 'said' he snaked my toilet, no less than twice. Yet the noise that snaking it makes, I never heard upstairs nor downstairs. And you DO HEAR it! Especially with your downstairs ceiling cut open.
Now I KNOW I was conned by the other company. Not once, twice, but three times!!
Gary ran the snake, and said the drain was clear, but he was going to run it just a little bit further. I sat in AWE!
It's amazing how truly ignorant I can be when I don't understand a trade. I am guilty of that, with the other plumbers. And in my opinion, they don't deserve to remain in business. I KNOW for a fact, they HAVE screwed other people. Including someone I KNOW well, and he KNOWS the owner of the 1st listed. No names, cause I value his privacy and I'm not here to put his business out there.
I have NOW found an HONEST, RELIABLE, HUMBLE, HARD WORKING GENTLEMAN FROM A REAL COMPANY TO CALL!!
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND ;;; DRAIN DOCTORS !!!

In fact. The 'guesst'mite' that I was given, though it was for 2 separate tasks and only the drains upstairs were dealt with, was higher than what I was charged. And the guess was even lower than I was concerned it would cost me to rectify this bad situation.
I feel SO BLESSED, to have met Maria (on the phone) she was delightful. Very bubbly, friendly, and extremely informative.

You know, whether your need is big or small I can't say enough about how important it is to 1st thoroughly research who you are allowing into your home!! Believe me when I say that it's not just unlicensed contractors anymore who steal your money and leave you desolate and in a deeper need for repairs.. It's also Licensed one's!!
I have a list of one's to avoid here in Central Coast, unfortunately I met more than my quota..
But God works all things out for our good.
So from some real crappy experiences I found a Plumber who I WILL REFER TO AS A KEEPER!!
Their Prices are fair. Free Estimates. Kind & courteous from the initial call to the visit.
I'll be back I'm sure to update on my next projects.. not that they need my vote, but they've got it.

Drain Doctors did a super job replacing some old, leaking faucets in a bathroom and a valve that wouldn't shut off in a water closet.

Larry from Drain Doctors was the plumber. There's not a smarter, more experienced, kinder plumber in all of SLO County. I'm happy to see any Drain Doctors plumber arrive, but having Larry is a treat.

Drain Doctors came out and performed a sewer lateral inspection using a camera. Upon removing the camera inspection hose, the back-flow prevention flapper broke. This wasn't obvious at the time nor by looking at the film but the problem showed up a few days later when the downstairs toilet started to gurgle. I called Drain Doctors to report the gurgling and they sent someone out right away. They took responsibility without any discussion and replaced the damage part at no cost to me. I very much appreciated their integrity.

Drain Doctors will be my go to plumber in the future.
