Drain Doctor Plumbers
Company Overview
The proprietor invested 17 years gaining experience at a major rooter company, observing customer complaints over costly charges. To address this, he cut the prices by a significant amount.
Many customers wondered why they were unable to get a cost estimate over the phone and were required to wait for a technician to show up to provide a price. He took the initiative, he posted his pricing on his website and became the first plumbing company to do so. Additionally, he gives prices over the phone.
Thomas began his career in plumbing as a technician for a big rooter company in 1986 and stayed until the turn of the century. He established Drain Doctor Plumbers after noticing a decline in his workload due to frustration among customers with the high prices of the large rooter company. He understood that clients desired an understanding of the fees before allowing a company to come to their property. He decided to offer customers what they desired.

I want to give a shout out to Tom as he pin pointed the issue I've been having for the past 4 years, 6-9 plumber's and lots of money wasted, He's my hero! Thank you much!

Jason/Owner was great to work with. He sent two fantastic guys over (Danial and Stephen) who were incredibly professional. I am pretty picky and guarded about who I engage with and these guys were as genuine and helpful as you can imagine. I don't mean to toot their horn too much but unfortunately, we have had what many folks get (contractors) sometimes in the way of big on selling us on doing a great the job and low on delivering it. It's rare to get the trifecta with contractors, fair price, deliver on what they say and are very professional. Thanks Jason, Daniel and Stephen. I will definitely recommend you to my family/friends and use you again if needed. John unsolicited client.

Called Drain Doctors to find out they are under new ownership, old website prices do not reflect today's rates. I personally liked seeing the rates posted before you call so you don't get the run around, like I have had in the past dealing with places like Roto-Rooter, which BTW are the worst! Had my sewer line cleaned which clogs every year. I was a little surprised that Tom the original owner is not there and the prices went up a bit, but I still consider it fair. Though I do think DD should take the site down or put the new price list up as soon as they can. I was happy with the service and would use them again. The old rate of $169 is quite fair compared to other plumbers, now the price is $225, not crazy inflated but that's definitely pushing the competition scale. Anyone want informed information check out www.homewyse.com and plug in your zip code and find out fair rates for services of all kinds. Peace! EDIT: I am editing this review because after a few days I have noticed that the sewer line was not completely cleared and I am experiencing """"back flow"""" from the pipe. I feel as though while the line was made """"clear"""" it was not done completely to the point where water freely flows down the sewer. I will probably try a new plumber on my next back up which by my estimation will be sooner now that the roots have not been completely cleared.
