I had a leak in a sewer pipe in my basement. I found Drain Doctor NY online and made an appointment.
Tom Wundeler came out to look at the issue and told me they could reline my pipe so it would not leak anymore. He sent me an estimate for $10,500 for the job and a contract outlining what Drain Doctor NY would do to fix the issue. I signed the contract and put down a $5,000 deposit (via Zelle) to start the job.

No one ever called me to schedule an appointment. I called him several times to set up a day and time and he finally agreed to come January 29-31. He never showed up. I called and texted several times and he never responded to my calls or texts. I finally realized that he was never actually going to come to do
any of the work that he had promised, nor was he going to refund my $5,000 deposit.

Tom Wundeler is running a fraudulent business and preying upon people in need of such services. His ""company"" does not exist. It's a sham where all he does is send out estimates with no intention of following up by actually doing the work he has promised under contract.

This company has already been reported to the authorities. Use anyone else or say goodbye to your money.

A little hard to believe, but I sold a property in Mamaroneck, and discovered that my former tenant had not told me about a major Water Works Main Line Leak. Hundreds of thousands of gallons lost per month. Anyway, I spoke with Thomas Edward Wundeler who is the owner of Drain Doctor. He lives in Rye. Thomas told me he'd get on it, and, in a true nutshell anyway, nothing was done for two months. I spoke and texted with him almost every day asking when the work would begin. Lies lies lies. Finally, my buyer took it on himself, and is charging me for that as well.
Tom is a disgraceful, dishonest misery.
I had given him a $3K deposit. No work, and no refund.
A disgrace beyond imagining. Believe me or not, but why would I bother writing such a thing?

UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE. Spoke to Tom several times. Made an appointment and said he would come. He never showed up, called or answered any of our calls. Skip!

This guy came out at 9 pm at Xmas to unblock my drain. I will be forever grateful. It took him an hour and then he cleaned up and made everything smell nice as well. A friend recommended him because he did a great hob for him as well. FANTASTIC SERVICE, thanks Tom ! I could not be any happier.

Tried four days to have technician come to unclog Bathroom sink. Called early in day so call back could be made. My sink is still clogged up because of no service.
Signed up for service contract due to satisfaction previously. Not now!

These guys are as good as it gets. Attentive, and they get right down to it to get the job done, CORRECTLY! I highly recommend Tom and his team for the best plumbing service. I am a realtor and I have used them in my own house and multiple properties I manage.

My toilet was clogged. I was told they would be there between 1-3 pm on the same day! Jimmy was at my house by 1:15!
Never have I had such great service with such a small window to wait!!!
He fixed the problem right away and was extremely neat. I highly recommend them.

Cant say enough about them, they helped me out twice. First at my home for my hot water heater. They were the second company I called on a recommendation from a friend. They showed up exactly when they said they would were priced fairly and the job was done in a timely manner. I was so happy with them that when my mother in laws main water line was leaking I called them again. They saved her a fortune and the guy that came to the house stayed until the job was complete (which was way into the night) all the while having a great attitude. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber.

These guys run a completely farudulent operation, stay away.



Had a frozen water main. Promised to come to my house at 185$ service call on a weekend and then give quote for completion of work. They guy came in 6 hours late. Then promised to complete the work for 1100$. Started working over night and left the electrical equipment to heat the line over night. Came in next day again 4 hours late and stated he had bad equipment. Then turns it on overnight agian (unattended). Then I called the town and they stated running such equipment unattended can be very dangerous. I had to physically turn of their their equipment and keep it aside to call another plumber with the right equipment to do the work!!!!! 2 days in a hotel and missing work!!!! Not to state the dangerous practices!

Needed new hot water heater bought and installed. Called 2 other companies both were more expensive and one told me that they wouldn't be able to make an appointment until at least a week later. Drain Doctor gave a fair estimate and then the price came out to be slightly lower. The plumber was professional and punctual. He also took a look at my boiler to make sure it was functioning properly and told me to keep an eye on it because it's old and it will be working differently with the new hot water heater. Overall very satisfied and would use them again.
