The company has a new owner. When we first spoke he was great. He sent out a guy to remove the clog in the sewer line. The kid was there for a very short time and made notes of work he never completed. Once the toilet was replaced the clog had not been taken care of. I tried to get them back out or ask for a refund. He doesn't give refunds and I had to call someone else to come out to unplug the line. I think it's poor business not to stand behind their work. They were very pushy to get payment without verifying the pipe was clear. At the very least, they should refund something for not doing the job.

If I could give a negative star or more I would. Terrible terrible service. This is the first time in my life I've ever written a review on anything. There was zero effort into finding a solution to our clogged pipes. Worker came in removed our toilet, quickly snaked it and couldn't find anything. Then proceeded to tell me I needed to call the city, it was City side issues. Call the city they come out and find nothing on their end. Our neighbor a retired 30+ year plumber says he knows it's a clog and offers to remove the toilet again and snake it again with his snake....finds the clog!!!!! I got charged $700 dollars by drain doctor for literally doing hardly anything when a solution could have been found if they were just a little more thorough. $700!!! Called to explain and that I understand needing to pay for service and time, but $700 is insanity especially when they couldn't even find the clog, but my neighbor did. Customer service pretty much not helpful or accommodating to the situation or at least understanding and still continued to blame it on the city. My neighbor pulled out feminine products, wipes, and a metal chain. All looking like it was there for a long while. Drain doctor response to that was that the clog could have happened after we came. Will never recommend this company to anyone in our area and will make sure all my customers at my business know the same. Customer service is a huge part of running a business and yes sometimes you get those customers, but when it's a valid argument there's got to be some give and take and understanding. $700 for a job not well done by ""professionals"" but the job got done by our neighbor who did the exact same process. Drain doctor just didn't go far enough it seems. Don't call yourself drain doctor if you can only snake a drain so far. Hope you never run into a doctor who can only do half of a surgery.

I had my septic tank cleaned out LESS than six months ago. The same exact problem came back again. I looked on the internet and saw that this cleaning should last 3-5 years. I paid $365 for the service. I called them and spoke with Caleb. He said it was my fault not his. He told me this for ten minutes then he said it would cost $425 for the same exact cleaning - $60 more than I paid less than six months ago. What's wrong with this picture?? This is how they they treat senior citizens?? I can't believe the bad reviews Drain Doctor has all over the internet. My bad. I think the Better Business Bureau should be notified and warned of the CROOKS that Drain Doctors is. And that's exactly what I intend to do. SHAME ON YOU CALEB!

I called this company on Tuesday evening on the recommendation of a plumber. To put it mildly I had a lousy experience. On the first call, I was encouraged that they might be responsive, but when I didn't hear back by noon the next day, I called again and was told the person who I spoke to on the previous evening was now on vacation and did not communicate the first message. That said, I was told I might hear back to set up a visit. I was also told they had tried to call me and left several messages. I received no such messages. I have clogged sinks - if I got a message I would have responded. So I called again this morning - third day into the problem. The person i talked to seemed more interested in where Sea Isle City is located versus understanding I need some help. When I got a call back three hours later, I was asked to recap the problem - like none of the prior calls had taken place. In the interim I called another plumber to get the problem fixed. When I mentioned this along with my dissatisfaction, I was told they had tried to call me and left several messages. I have no voicemail messages on my phone. As I mentioned, I would have been happy to get their messages. The call ended very poorly. But I shouldn't be surprised - I wouldn't recommend these folks at all. If you have a plumbing or drainage issue, go elsewhere.

Referred to them from another plumber in town who stated they cleaned out French Drains and have a special tool. Called them. told them of the referral, that I had a clogged outside shower drain, discussed that the other plumber said they had the special tool for cleaning out French Drains. Tech shows up, looks at the drain and informs me they don't clean French Drains. Charges me a $154 for a service call. I have called the office leaving messages without any return and when I get the receptionist, she says she will check then doesn't call back. Called again today and she did call back stating her note states it was an outside shower and that was all that was discussed so they are still charging for a service call as they do clean out outside showers, just not french drain outside showers. Not a reputable group if they sent a tech out for a service they don't perform and charge you for the service call based on incomplete notes.

Great service. Courteous, professional, affordable. Fixed our problem on the same day. The issue was misdiagnosed by a different plumber but then Drain Dr. arrived and figured it out in 10 seconds then solved it in 30 minutes. Definitely recommend!

Jim and his crew arrived ON SCHEDULE and dug up the front yard to replace my sewer line without destroying the flower beds. The did almost surgical excavation and installed PVC pipe for a permanent fix to the 57 year old drain issues that was clogged by roots and had collapsed. When they had finished the job they spread top soil that they brought and raked the surface level, swept the street, cleaned up the debris and did a better than excellent job leaving the area ready for grass seed. All the work was performed in one day and that included digging under the sidewalk without disturbing it. The price was extremely fair and the quality of work was beyond expectations. I absolutely highly recommend Drain Doctor for all the sewer issues any homeowner could encounter.

Drain Doctor was called out to remove roots from a drain. Within 24 hours the drain was clogged again. When I called them again they said they would talk about it.
They had to come back out again to do the job correctly and charged my credit card again without my consent. I was never issued a reciept and they boldly lied to my credit card company.
They freely admit that they do not gurantee any of their work (even for 24 hours). I contacted many other drain cleaning services in the area that said their work was guranteed for 30 days. Your turn to make a choice?
